We are currently looking to fill the position of: Job Title: Air Condition Technician Department: Technical Location: Ikeja Lagos Responsibilities • Effective in installing and troubleshooting heating, air conditioning and refrigeration units • Perform general and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems • Ensure that all installations are done in accordance to the set standards • Ensure calibration of thermostats and other controls • Ensure availability of all items needed for a HVAC project • Respond to emergency situations in order to resolve issues on an immediate basis • Determine need for upgrading HVAC systems and take measures to take necessary actions • Installs humidifiers into system and connects water and drain pipes. • Determines amount of airflow required to keep carbon dioxide at a safe level; ensures this level is maintained. • Install all required metal ductwork and inspect all liquid and vapor instruments to ensure efficiency of all operations and maintain internal electrical and electronic control systems. • Identify all issues in equipment and perform repair on systems as well as preventive maintenance for all HVAC and refrigeration systems. • Maintain safe working conditions and manage all equipment and supplies for processes and perform all required installation and repair and complete all work processes. • Project a good image by wearing neat and clean uniforms always. • Prepare, repairs and validate all commercial HVAC systems and maintain knowledge on all control strategies and install all hardware and refrigerants. • Inspect serviced parts and equipment procured for HVAC operations, to meet specific jobs requirement. • Ensure material quality control for HVAC materials used or provided for jobs. • Carry out routine checks on all HVAC task assigned. • Prepare comprehensive report on all AC task • Ensure that job inspection/trouble shooting checklist is completed during inspection Job related work experience /qualifications • Appropriate tertiary technical education and experience. • Air conditioning trade test certificate. • Minimum of 3 years air conditioning service experience Specialist core competencies: • Good knowledge of all air conditioning fixtures and fittings and repairs and maintenance thereof. • Good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act. • To be familiar with safety, fire and emergency procedures. • Analytical ability and proactive outlook. • Client relationship management. • Initiative and problem-solving skills.
