I have received pre-arrival.I did on 13th March. Background check has been ongoing since then. Requested for GCMS and it said Security is what is left and ongoing now

It's already a month since my medical was updated to "completed" but my background and eligibility check have not started. How long more do I have to wait ?

One of the reasons we own properties is to be able to use it as a leverage in time of need. This is that "time of need". The property is your mum's legacy, no doubt. May she rest in peace. Mother's are the most precious gift and I have a belief that If she were to be alive, she wouldn't think twice selling the property to enable you further abroad because she knows you're gonna make it and build better and bigger houses for her. But now she's gone. Even if death, I believe she still wishes you well. Her body can be exhumed and buried in a cemetery. And when you make it later in life, you can immortalize her in other ways
My advice: sell the land and secure your future.

No I have not
The only correspondence I received was AOR and that took two months after my file was received.
Is there something I can do ?

I am tired already. My application was received on Sept 16th and I got AOR on Nov 25th. Since then till now, I haven't received any update. Is there anything I can do?

My application got rejected. My wife mailed it to IRCC 4 weeks ago, and we received the application back from IRCC yesterday.
The reason behind the rejection was that the application was incomplete

Thank God we now have spousal application thread. I've been all over nairaland searching for an appropriate thread that treats spousal application.
Our application was received on Thursday, September 16th, 2021 but we're yet to receive an acknowledgement mail. Does anyone know how long it takes to get an acknowledgement mail after package has been received ?

I tried paying for spousal application processing fee of $Can1,135 with my GTbank ATM naira Mastercard but it was bringing out error message. I don't really know the exchange rate but I have over 500k in the account with the hope that it would be enough no matter how much the exchange rate would be.
Is it possible for me to pay with the GTB card or there's another payment option that could work.

What is most important is that there are witnesses and it's verifiable by any authority

Registry wedding is one of the types of wedding that is recognize in Nigeria and traditional is another wedding and they are both recognize individually and important as far as the institution of marriage is concerned

Your wedding pictures is enough proof of a relationship ensure they are beautifully taken and represent all the sweet memories you have shared

Visa approval or denial is at the prerogative of the visa officer in charge of ur case but spousal sponsorship or open work permit are mostly successfully if the documentation is properly packaged and you are financially stable to support a family

Processing time varies for different application but for spousal open work permit is presently 33 weeks but we are praying it is reduced today .but I think it's about 12 months for spousal sponsorship and that is like PR straight

My questions are :
1) After registry, how long can someone wait before applying for spousal application? For instance, let's say the registry was done in May, when can one commence the spousal application?

2) What fate does the couples have if both parents aren't present at the wedding? However, the friends of the couples will be on ground to take pictures and stand as witnesses.

3) Is doing only registry okay? Do the couples need to hold tradition wedding and maybe a party? Can only the registry certificate and pictures be enough ?

4) For a relationship of 7yrs (one of the couples travelled when the relationship was about 6months) and they've been in communication since then and everyone around them knows that they've been dating for about 7yrs, they have few photos evidence to prove that they've been in a relationship since 2014, what's the fate of the visa application? What's are the chances of the visa being denied?

5) How long does the visa processing take? It's 12months on CiC website. Is the 12months accurate ?

Secondly, Is registry wedding pictures and wedding certificate enough even if we didn't do any church or big party wedding ?
