Please is there anyone that submitted in the last 4 weeks? DO they still scan original documents at TLS VI? or does one have to just mail everything to Sheffield.

All original documents goes to Sheffield .

They take the front page of your online application ,
your passport
,they scan your old front page passports(if you have ) ,extra additional information (if you have) .
You photocopy all visas and passport pages .

Prayer for someone out there waitingbFor Getting Visa

"IF YOU ASK ANYTHING IN MY NAME, I WILL DO IT".

John 14:14

Loving Lord! The Scripture says that You are aware of all our needs, even before we ask You.

So I come to You and place this request at Your loving hands. You know how desperate I am for getting the Visa. My soul has become weary and anxious over this delay in getting the visa .

O Lord! Speak in the hearts of the concerned Entrance clearance officials, grant me favour in their eyes and help me to get my visa on time so that my purpose is fulfilled.

Perfect everything for me my Master Jesus. I wait at Your feet and trust in You to make this possible.

I know that You will do it for You will never let Your children down. I thank You for listening to my plea! To You alone be all honour and glory. In the sweet name of Jesus I pray.

I confess that my faith is in the Lordship of Jesus Christ, my saviour

Ps 102:13 says “Thou shall arise, and have mercy upon Zion, for the time to favour her, yea, the set time is come”. I declare that this is my time for the lord to arise and have mercy upon me for the time of my favour has come.
Ps 89:20 says “I have found favour with David my servant, with holy oil have I anointed him”. Lord let me have favour with you, arise o my God, and anoint me with holy favour with the entreance clearance official thank you fpr answered prayers in Jesus name

Amen

Hope this builds someone's faith a bit wink grin

Hello Nlanders, I won't wanna bore you all with stories so lemme just go straight to the point.Am ayo by name and am gonna be 17 byJune next month. My dad was born and bred in Nigeria and has been in UK for the past 20 years or so. and he is now a British citizen.well I happen to be born in Nigeria and am currently in 200level in a university here in nigeria and a patriotic citizen.I love my country. But I decided the last time my dad cameto Nigeria that I wanna leave Nigeria so we both went to the consulate office in cms and we were told that I need to go for tuberculosis test and English test.I happen to be the intelligent type so mydad was like I should try and sort myselfout as regards applying for the visa.I paid 47,500 for the tuberculosis test last week and I did the test yesterday at Issac John street Ikeja and am planning to pay for the English test next week.Dear Nlanders After concluding the test I don't know the needed documents again to conjoin so as not to be refused visa and I also wanna know how long itsgonna take before it can be approved.as well as detailed steps to take cos am a novice to this. Thanks in anticipating your responseGod bless

If we have to wait 6month no need of printing out the statement of that we already have £95, 000 which we are using we just want to show that he can take care of me even if I dont end not finding a job . 2.5yrs and next .

Let's assume your new address is NO 2 Nairaland forum, you simply write NO 2 Nairaland forum on the address sections.

Special Notes Section -
NO 1 Nairaland Forum, which appears on other documentations, have been switched to NO 2 nairaland forum due to Local Government reallocation of street numberings etc etc etc

Thank you very much , I told my husband to write ,. I wish I was the one doing this . Men are different from we women .

You need to fill in appendix 2, it is your wife that will submit everything. the only thing they will take from you at the VAC is your passport and application form. Everything else from appendix 2 all the way to relationship documents to maintenance documents to accommodation documents will need to be sent to Sheffield. its easier if your wife sends it to Sheffield as she can track it and organise it correctly. your wife earns enough it doesn't matter if you are not earning as long as she is.

Hope that helps

Pls do I need to submit the sponsorship form suv or so this different from the application f8rm and appendix 2 or is it just the 2 form s?
Pls kindly help fir clarification thanks

Their is a provision in the legislation allowing about £63,000 in savings can be used.
But I do not think anyone on this forum as been in a privileged position to tender the savings required.
Count yourself lucky in a privileged & fortunate position, put the application through and update us how it goes.
Goodluck

THANK YOU VERY MUCH I NOTICE NOBODY REALLY HAS USED SAVINGS for spouse visa on this forum have read thru the threads the gift is from my mother inlaw they are even paying for the application fees .
will try and get evidence from mum she is sending us a letter to back it .

Pls we have we are using savings to meet the uk spouse visa financial requirements we have £100, 000 but now my husband and his friend started their biz together in October , April makes it 6months though the company finances cant meet the financial requirements.

My husband says no need to submit documents from the company as part of the application since he wants to use savings .
All though everything is on track except this pls kindly assist . I want my husband to read the answer

### can some one share their experiences meeting the financial requirements tru savings for uk spouse visa
This will really help us end this back and forward thing between us
Thanks

my husband sent this to me after a long debate

Well, why would they need to 'audit' the savings? What they are after is as long as they have been in your bank account for 6 months before you apply.

The rule is that if you cannot meet the requirements using your employment income, you can meet the requirements by having £62,500 in your bank account instead.

If you have the savings, regardless of whether you are employed or not, then you qualify for the visa. End of story.

It may be the case that both of you are unemployed in the US and have no income at all. However, you may have inherited some money that you put into a savings account, which you can then use to meet the visa requirements 6 months later.

The whole reason for you needing so much money in savings is to prove that you will have enough money to support yourselves for the 2.5 years of the visa validity in the case where neither of you has any employment income... it's to prove that if you can't get jobs in the UK, you won't end up on the streets and forced to claim benefits illegally.

Simply submit all other prerequisites and you should be fine.
