Despite the challenges we have faced in the recent past and present, most notably the lingering ASUU strike, we have remain steadfast to our course. The screening exercise results was released months back and in summary here is the performance index:
33% scored above the average mark unlike last year when we have an average performance of 48%.
The case of withheld and cancelled results account for 12% which is as a result of wrong data entry down
to mutilation and exam misconducts.
It may interest you to know that 10% OF THE POST UTME RESULT ARE STILL PENDING, UNDERGOING FURTHER VERIFICATION DUE TO IRREGULARITIES AND DATA ISSUE BY AFFECTED CANDIDATES.
Lots of candidates called in, some visited my office to lodge their complaints. Parents as well paid visit but at the end i was able to make them see reason why their wards situation was so. But in the end solution was provided for some. The admission cutoffs into departments has been agreed by the university management not to be made public yet. Although the first merit list has been released and it is basically on merit irrespective of candidates state of origin. More lists are still coming, compilation is ongoing but criteria for selection is strictly confidential.
Candidates from the educated less developed states, and localities shall be considered this time. But if you are a candidate and you cant find your name in any of the list, just take it as your luck. Because like i said earlier, this compilation of the next list is by selection. If any candidate meet up with the requirements of the committee sets up for compilations of names, then the candidate should consider him or herself admitted.
Suffice it to say here that all newly admitted students who failed to pay their acceptance on or before the stipulated date shall forfeit their admission.

Admission to many programs at UNIPORT is
competitive; meeting the minimum entrance
average does not guarantee admission.
Uniport merit admission list is under consideration
with so many factors in play. Criteria and
requirements for making this list is so complex that I
will not reveal it here due to reason best known to
me.
Expect surprises in this year admission list. As a
senior admission officer I tell you it won't be easy.
Right now, the committee that will be looking into
the shortlisting of NAMES for admission has been
commissioned. And as a member of this noble
committee, I am out to assist just as many
candidates as I can gain admission. And this will be

Unical 2013/2014 post UTME new dates for screening
is August 23 & 24.
The registration, which had continued after the
postponement will finally close in the midnight of
Friday, August 16th while the screening exercise
takes place on the 23rd - 24th of August.

Last year the admission quota assigned to OAU by
NUC was 4000. For this year admission, the figure
won't be different. Dr Awa (Head admission officer),
who led the University Admission team to NUC office
in Abuja has this to say, 'we are here to discuss the
current admission quota. OAU had a considerable
high numbers of candidates who sat for the post
utme. About 12,000 candidates sat for it and we
had
almost 60% who might be eligible for admission.
Where do we fix them all is the admission quota
remain at 4000'?
The admission cutoffs for all departments will be out
soon. Many candidates may not make the list due to
suspected high departmental cutoffs expected be
release. But according to Dr Awa, the university
management is ready to give admission
considerations to some candidates with low scores
but who showed good intelligence during the
examination.
And to avail every candidates equal opportunity to
seek for admission assistance, the head admission

This information goes out to all aspirant of UNIBEN
who sat for the 2013/2014 post utme screening test.
However good or bad your result is, we are asking
you to believe that your admission into UNIBEN will
be a dream come through. In today's admission into
UNIBEN, high score is no longer a guarantee for
admission. Please take note, that average
performance of all candidates for instance who sat for
a particular course will determine the benchmark
cutoff point of that course for admission. From the
result statistic for the screening exercise 2013, many
of you went for courses that are very tough to get
leaving the less fanciful courses you could easily get.
Even some courses here are politicise. Candidates
who make the list of such courses on MERIT are few
but the rest who form a majority of the list are
candidates who paid their way through. Dear
candidates, do not sit back at home and wait for
admission list before you act. Yes prayer is the first
thing you may say, and who doesn't believe in
prayer? But, you must back your prayer with work,
effort. If it is your dream to have your name among
the admitted students soon and matriculate in

been changed. To this
effect, it is necessary that
all applicants re-check their
centers to re-confirm their
current exam venues.
Candidates for law who were previously scheduled to
write their exams at Uniben Staff school and Uni.Den Staff school(UDSS) have now been rescheduled to write their exams at the Engineering New 1000 7:09:41 AM and so is it for other candidates.The scheduled time has not changed.

General public should take note that only candidates
who chose UNIBEN as their first choice and scored
200 and above in the UTME are eligible to right the
screening exercise coming up from 12th to 14th of
july, 2013.
The university admission boards also reiterate that
all eligible registered candidates should confirm date
they are to write from their printout.
All registered candidates MUST not fail to come to
the screening centre with the following;
1. The original JAMB slip and password photograph
on it for identification. If you don't have this, click
here to get it
2. A 1”x 1” passport photograph with a red
background,
3. Printouts of application and payment slips,
4. any other document that can generally identify
the
applicant
Applicants are to come to the screening centres with
the following:
1. four figure table (where applicable),
2. writing materials (HB pencil and eraser)
Note that GSM phones and calculators are not
allowed.

And this figure represent the number of candidates
that will be vying for the limited 3,553 space
available for admission.
Candidates are advice to go through past question,
get prepared and pray for luck.
