Your details were also used to commit fraud as well, at least we weren't paid for selling reviews. Police can't arrest us cos with these evidences you don't have a case bro. The best thing is to investigate the person that really scammed you, at least you have his phone number and account details. I was also scammed of $100 few months ago on nairaland and I didn't make fuss about it. Shit happens, next time just be wise. It's a lesson

How were my details used to commit fraud? Did you go to school at all? I paid to YOU or perhaps someone who have access to your account, simple. So, under the law, you're the thief until you provide the other person.

With all due respects, mods. Since, this is a case of MiTM as some people claimed, there is no problem. I, however, totally disagree with the claim that I was scammed. Those two guys, silverdam and dayus444, were also scammed. Their details were used to commit fraud. While I lost some money, they've lost their reputations, in fact they lost more. If I go ahead with police's investigations , they will be arrested and asked to provide the one who uses their names to steal, or remain in cell, or return my money+bail. I wonder why contributors kept ignoring this fact. From the beginning, I vowed to fight this to finish. I'm glad with my findings so far. The fight is still in progress. If this is something that cannot be resolved here amicably, I vow to get the police help me out. I don't mind how much it's going to cost me. And for those saying "just 4000", I believe you will not smile if you lose 4200 to the thin air. I've made multiple of that since I lost the money, but I won't give up in my fight for justice.

Please note that this matter can be resolved here, but the 3 people affected will bear parts of the lost. Not enforcing this though. Superior authorities know better, and can be of better help.

Since he was able to successfully use your account to scam me (as you claimed) you're the suspect here. If I decide to follow this up with a police investigation, you will be arrested and detained until you provide the criminal or pay me back my money in full. If someone uses your label/name to steal, you're are answerable to the law. So return my money immediately.

He has met his Waterloo because he is going to lose more. But next time be wary of people offering ridiculous price because that should have been a red flag. How can he sell a review for 2000 when he is going to spend $7 for it? That would mean 320*7=2220. Well except he is absolutely broke and needed it for emergency. We agreed on price, N2,000 and N2,200, respectively. After that he ordered my gigs and asked me to pay, then he will leave the reviews after payment. I initially hesitated, but later agreed because that has being the norm. I paid To his Zenith Bank account, 2120268858 with the name, Adam Tijani. To my surprise, after I delivered the first order, fiverr alerted me of a cancellation request. I thought he was trying to fake an authentic order. So I contacted him on Whatsapp, but alas! this thief was no longer replying me. I delivered the order again, again he initiated cancellation, which I declined. He did a third, and a fourth time. That was when it dawned on me that the scammer has parted with my N4,200.

Each time he rejects my delivery on fiverr, he will write things like: unsatisfactory job, cancel the order; I will get another freelancer; you're threatening me, which is against fiverr rule; etc.

The mistake I made was I did not ask for his nairaland moniker when he contacted me. I have managed to get his pictures through his fiverr account. His Nigerian account is adeletoymas, while his UK account is karen_william.

If your account has potential just forget about disputing the transaction on Fiverr and fight locally in Nigeria or move on.

Call zenith bank and report his account for fraud. Get a police petition and a court order and freeze his account.
