DEALING WITH WEAK POINTS (2).

One thing you must know is that Satan says the flesh is sleeping but wakes up anytime a strong temptation comes while GOD says the flesh is dead and your victory over temptations keeps it dead. You can become a master of your weak point that it will later become a strong point, although, with intense caution still. Know this, no matter how long you may have stayed away from the sin that so easily beset you, one little mistake of loosening your caution-belt could make you fall back to your weak point again. Many people make the mistake of getting so used to victory over sin that they belittle the importance of watching carefully. They think they've stayed long enough in holiness to still fall. Your victory over your weak point is like a very weak wooden bridge that no matter how many times you've passed the bridge with caution, if you pass the next time with less caution saying in your mind that you are used to it; you will still fall flat. The bridge will not carry those that have passed there many times but only those who will walk on it with great caution.
How can one deal with weak points?
1. Prayer, specifically for the grace of holiness and/or victory over sin. A man's growth is not just a function of his prayer life but also of his prayer point. (Mat 26:41: Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak). You can't overcome without prayers. When you pray, you shield yourself from the pressure of temptations. You also reduce its frequency and pressures.
2. The word of GOD. The word of GOD is like the bullets that you use to shoot at the enemy when they come. It's what you know in the bible that you can use to fight the devil. If for instance Satan always tell you that GOD knows that you are weak and you don't know that GOD says let the weak say "I'm strong", you would always believe you are weak. Use the bible to fight sin. For instance: James 4:7 says Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Use it and believe that when you resist him, he would flee from you without doubt. Remember that GOD will never allow a temptation that you can't overcome (1Cor. 10:13), GOD allowed it because HE knows you can overcome it, anything saying something contrary is from the devil.
3. Listen to the HOLY SPIRIT. Many a time the HOLY SPIRIT is always there during temptations. When it feels as if the temptation is coming upon you like a flood, listen to what GOD is saying to you to do. He can tell you to wash the clothes you postponed to do or go to class/work or see a friend or pray or confess the word or ask your senior colleague in faith or your boss in the office, etc. There are some temptations that you can't overcome by just confessing the word or praying in tongues. There are sometimes you are staying at the wrong place or at a place at the wrong time. For instance, David stayed back when he was supposed to go to war. He fell because he was at the right place but at the wrong time (it's alright for a king to be in his palace but at that point, he was supposed to be at the battle field). There are some temptations you don't speak in tongues against, you fly away (1Cor. 6:18; 2Tim. 2:22), not even run. GOD will give us the grace in JESUS Name.
Some times, when it seems as if GOD is hiding because HE does hide some times (2Chr 32:31 Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart), quote the scriptures and walk by the bible because, while hiding, HE is watching to see what is your heart. That is whether you are really interested in serving HIM.
4. Avoid tight corners. Don't do or go anywhere that you know you can be easily led to sin, that is, where you can easily meet the needs of your weak point. I pray that the desire to sin and the opportunity to sin will never meet in our lives in JESUS NAME.
5. Nip it in the bud. Resist the temptation immediately it comes. Don't try to consider what the flesh is suggesting especially when it involves the sin that so easily beset you. Any of such consideration can put you in a tight corner that you may find it difficult to come out from. For instance, if you easily get angry, when someone does something annoying, just smile and keep quiet to beat down the anger (depend on HIS grace, not on this method only; the grace is GOD'S interest in keeping you righteous while your smile is your interest in staying righteous).
6. Run from anything that looks like or can lead you to your weak point or at least can ring a bell.
7. Recall what caused you to fall previously and make efforts to avoid it this time. For instance, you may recall that you fell because of your ignorance, now you've acquired the needed knowledge, you shouldn't allow yourself to fall because you are no longer ignorant like before. You gave that obscene picture the second look, that's why you fell, this time, when you see such thing, don't give it the second look. You have a friend that always lead you astray and it didn't occur to you. Now you've noticed it, distant yourself from that fellow. You've noticed that you could hardly overcome any temptation when you don't pray and study the word, now you've noticed, make sure you spend time with GOD always. The list could go on. The thing is, just flash back into your past and check what you did or didn't do that caused you to fall and take corrective measures this time.
8. Trust GOD for constant victory. Never let anything tell you that you can't overcome it. It's a lie. It's GOD that actually gives us the victory over sin. Remember Jude 1:24: Now unto HIM that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.
Remember, GOD'S grace is always sufficient, it's we that have to make our determination to obey GOD constantly sufficient.
If CHRIST loved you when you were dead in sin, how much love do you think HE'D show you now that you're saved? Rely totally on HIM.

May GOD give us constant victory in JESUS Name.

DEALING WITH WEAK POINTS (1)

You must not joke with your weak points. Don't claim to be a spiritual commando when you know that there are some things that Satan don't need to send more than one demon to cause you to commit. For instance, some don't need any media to entice them into formication, they've trained their eyes to be skillful in lusting after women without anybody detecting at all. With such kind of weakness, you can't claim to be spiritual and say you perceive in your spirit that GOD is leading you to do evangelism in night clubs during the main show. You'll be gone even before you would get there. These weak points are described as the sin that so easily beset us. Really, there are some things that may not attract you at all like for instance, if no matter how a woman dress, you just don't know why you can't lust after her even when many youths are having that problem but when you perceive the smell of alcohol, your hairs would rise up. You may never be moved in a porn studio but you can forget yourself in a beer parlour and take ten bottles and still be asking for more. Another guy with a direct vice versa weak point may stay in a beer parlour all day and will not take a sip of any beer but if he should venture visit the same porn studio, he could sleep with many girls within a very short period of time and may still continue in the dream in case he falls asleep.
You must understand your weak point and know how to deal with it. Don't treat it like you would treat your strong point. If your weakness is money, you cannot say that if "I can stay in a beer parlour for a week and will not taste beer, why can't I work as the financial coordinator and still be faithful". Bro/sis, it's not the same. You are strong in one and weak in the other.
May GOD strengthen us everyday to always lay aside every weight of sin that so easily beset us in JESUS Name.

YOU'VE NOT SOUGHT ME IN VAIN

Isaiah 45:19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

Have you been in a situation where you sought the face of GOD for an assistance and you didn't get an answer, at least, not the one you expected? You had great faith and yet, it was as though GOD turned all your request down. Well, GOD is saying, you didn't do all that in vain. Your fasting is not in vain. This is because your miracle is about to happen. Your fasting and prayers have knocked on every door in heaven beyond GOD's resistance.
You see, GOD has HIS own timetable, not because HE wants to show that HE'S the Boss but because of HIS love for us. Psalm 81:13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! 81:14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries. GOD was like, "ah (sigh), if only you had waited and followed my instructions, I would have shown your enemies that they can't just disturb you and go scot-free, I would have so dealt with them that you'd have to ask me to stop, I would have caused them to apologize to you, hm (another sad sigh)".
The bible says in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end"; and in Isaiah 55:9, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts".
You see, what GOD has in mind for you is so great that your mind cannot imagine it because HIS thoughts are higher than yours.
Now suppose you've promised a boy in your village (whom you love so much) who has never left his state that if he doesn't join bad friends but remains a good boy all through his stay in the university, you would fly him abroad and sponsor his education in the best university in the world, you'd also make him the chairman of one of your outstanding companies in Dubai. You may have even told him all these things so as to encourage him. On the other hand this person has never travelled there, he only has pictures to understand it a bit. But you've gone there many times and you know what it means to study in the world's best university.
Nevertheless, this boy misbehaved, I mean, he so misbehaved so that he didn't just have bad friends, he became a cultist and was imprisoned before he could write his last exam in his final year.
Now, even though this boy may lament that he has missed so great an opportunity to travel overseas and have a happy academic ending, it would still hurt you as well in no small measure because you've seen it and even imagined how happy he would have been over there. You've imagined the tears of joy that would have trickled down the eyes of his parents when they got to hear the blessing you favoured their son with. You've even seen with your mind how those who used to mock him in the village would be so shocked and silenced having got the news that he now resides overseas because they've always mocked him that he has never travelled out of his state. Really, it would hurt you.
Same with GOD. HE has seen our future, HE sees the smile that will stay on your face when the miracle arrives, notwithstanding, we hurt HIM a lot whenever we give up or compromise so as to get our miracle the ungodly way.
Brother/sister, kindly hold on to GOD, you've not sought HIM in vain. Your miracle is nearer than when you first prayed. Could you look again with the eyes of faith at the joy that awaits you in your miracle. Kindly look at the smile on your face when you get married to whom and in the way GOD has shown you. Look at the joy on you face when GOD finally restore your husband without heeding the advice of your friends to visit one baba. Look at the sigh of victory that you would breathe having served as a pastor or minister without tarnishing CHRIST'S image and yours as well by consistently avoiding adultery and formication and/or by staying clear from church funds and/or by preaching the gospel truth all through your tenure, whether the congregation liked it or not; you were more interested in what GOD thought about you and not what they said about you. What of when GOD heals your sick mother and the other one there whose mother is blind, the joy that will follow if only you don't give in to the pressure you are facing now to do it the ungodly way. Can you imagine the joy you will feel when you finally get to heaven via the rapture and you are like, "am I in heaven or is this a dream? So all my deep thirst and fervent prayers to be raptured when it finally takes place was not in vain. All my consecration and separation from the world, the pain of losing some friends because I decided to follow JESUS all the way, my stand for CHRIST even when some persons told me that I was taking it too far, that GOD will understand if I compromise a little. Some even explained the bible upside down to soothe the cravings of their flesh and I almost gave in". You decided to take a stroll on the street of gold and you met JESUS accompanied by angel Michael and two of the 24 elders and you started chatting and laughing with HIM and you couldn't help it when the tears of joy rolled down your eyes on the thought that you were talking with JESUS in heaven and not shouting at him from hell, especially when you knew how you were before you got saved and how many times you fell and rose even after salvation, asking HIM for mercy and grace many times, resolving to overcome when next a temptation comes. Moreover, HE then stooped down and said, "my dear, don't cry, it's all over now", using HIS hands to wipe away the tears from your eyes. You don't want to miss that, do you?
Dear, don't give in. Rather than quitting on GOD, ask HIM for more grace to stand.
GOD loves you so much, you are always in his heart, only don't compromise your faith. If you are there also and you've not given your life to CHRIST, you're still living in sin. Repent and come to GOD, all the above can never be yours until you come to JESUS and stay in HIM. For those who may have given their lives to CHRIST, you want to take a firm decision to stand forever. For those who are always falling and rising, you want to ask GOD for help (if HE loved you before you got saved, HE loves you more now that you are saved, don't be afraid to ask HIM for help; Hebrew 4:16: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need) and to take a firm decision to rise to fall no more. Tell HIM to forgive you and make HIM your Saviour and *LORD*. Forgive yourself also. Don't begin to sob on sins that you've repented and been forgiven of. It's Satan's strategy to get you back into it. Spend quality time in prayer and in the study of HIS word and avoid those things that will cause you to return back to your past life. Also, attend a bible-believing Church.

I decree today, your miracle will locate you today in JESUS name.
The blessing that will silence your mockers forever will come to you in today in JESUS name.
From today, you receive the grace to love permanently above sin in JESUS name.
When the rapture takes place, we shall be there in JESUS name.

Well it's not bad to know all your spouse's friends but two things are involved:
1. It's possible but not easy (like almost impossible) to know every one of them.
2. In your case, you may want to do it in the most loving way.
In as much as you feel her friends may be influencing her, it may look domineering to choose her own friends. You may advise but not to choose/enforce. Look at it from this angle, if you were the one being influenced, would you want your wife to choose your own friend? How would you want her to approach this matter? Wouldn't you want her to approach it with love and respect?
You know, it's easier said than done. That's why GOD is there. Ask HIM for grace.
Note: when it seems she's pissing you off and it seems as though, anger is coming in than kindness and love, shift the motive of your love from, "I love you because of you", to "I love you because of CHRIST".
Remember: Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
