I contacted this merchant, immediately after posting this advert on Nairaland yesterday, to agree with the use of any reputable escrow of his choice for this transaction, he refused.

He later claimed within minutes after this conversation that he has sold the fund, when I suggested we should use our mutual contact, Jsaviour, as the escrow.

Today, he made a personal offer to me on WhatsApp for another $300 PayPal fund transaction, but I insisted we should use an escrow again, but he claimed that all the Nairalanders he has transacted with in the past usually send money first to him before he makes PayPal fund transfer to them, for example Funlord and Jsaviour, among others.

We both agreed that I should call Funlord to confirm that Funlord usually sent money first to him (Steven000500), but Funlord denied that he has never sent money to him first in their previous transactions.

After my telephone confirmation from Funlord, Steven000500 has refused to respond to my several phone calls made and series of WhatsApp messages sent to him on the Funlord denial.

Please, I will suggest traders should apply caution and use strong escrow in dealing with this moniker, Stephen000500, moving forward to avoid stories that touch!

If you want to trade on nairaland use reputable escrow.

Don't rely on " I am this person or that person" quote the person and let the person quote you back.

Do your Check well, verify the phone number you are dealing with.

If you do all these, there is no way you will be scammed

Don't call my name if you are scammed by an impostor.

If you are scammed on this platform, it's your fault for not doing what you ought to do.

I think the real scammer here is bangdadabang. If the other guy didn't scam anybody and his number is on scam list, that doesn't give bangdadabang the right to hold his money. His money can only be held if there is anybody he scammed so it can be used to pay back the person. If not then his money should be returned.

The real hungry scammer here is bangdadabang who is acting like Nigerian police. What right does he have to hold the fund?.
