Just spoke with a friend in Gombe, everyone is indoors and that the BH guys don't attack civilians but military men and formation. And that they were told not come out to vote on Election Day. |
Information reaching us this morning is that most part on Mubi have been reclaimed by our military and local hunters, but sadly another helicopter just crashed this morning, I called somebody close to where it was said to have crashed, he confirmed it. For now I don't have full detail but I will give update later as I gather more information in town. Update. The crash site have not been located, the search is still going based on the last information reaching us, it may be that it fell into the river in Damare. I'll keep you updated on any latest development. Latest update: The information I just received now, suggest that NO MILITARY HELICOPTER CRASHED, it may be force alarm, as the search team have searched and found nothing only a BURNING BUSH. The truth will soon come out. I will keep you posted. |
Thank God nothing happened through the night, but we await news and confirmation of the crashed helicopter. We heard sounds of explosions after the crash it may be that the helicopter was carrying explosives. For those calling someone bastard for still being in Adamawa state, it is not only business that is keeping some in Adamawa, remember a lot of your sons are in the war front right now fighting these insurgents as soldiers. I guess they are also bastard for not returning home. The second helicopter just passed by as I'm typing this, I believe they are still searching for the one that crashed. |
Tension Has Gripped Us As Helicopter Crash In Our Sight As rumour of boko haram encroachment towards us went viral, this night helicopters on mission to the troubled area, (confirming the rumours going round) as we came out because the chopper was hovering and making a lot of noise, in our very own eyes one of the chopper exploded very far distance from us, I can't tell what went wrong. As I type this, a search helicopter came around hovering around the crash sight. We are all standing with our bags ready for any eventuality. We can't run to town because of the curfew. We need your prayers as the tension now is overwhelming. The encroachment was towards Gombi in Adamawa state. Update: The crash site have been located, my friends led the military personel on search and rescue to locate the site. It happened very far in the bush. As I type this, I'm together with a friend that was part of those that led the Air Force men around 1AM this morning. He told me the helicopter was carrying explodives, after the crash the explosive were just exploding, some of the explosive did not explode. They saw pieces of flesh of the personel on board the chopper, we don't think anybody survived. RIP to the departed. Pics will start surfacing online very soon, I'll post one later. “At about 2200hours yesterday 13 November 2014, a ground attack helicopter on an armed patrol crashed around the Federal University of Technology Yola, Adamawa State.”http://pulse.ng/news/update-3-confirmed-dead-in-yola-helicopter-crash-id3273098.html |
The nigeria mobile police entered Mubi, armed with tear gas sent the terrorist scampering for safety. A MOPOL friend called us from Mubi informing us of this development. Meanwhile our students and residents trapped in Cameroon returned yersterday after the govt sent buses escorted by this MOPOLs to bring them back. The entry of this MOPOLs into Mubi is seen as a slap to the military, the views of people now in town is that MOPOL should now take over the operation of chasing away this terrorist. |
That op picture is definitely not from Mubi but that does not mean there was no mass Exodus from mubi. I'm on one of the road leading to Yola from Mubi, people are still coming in hundreds especially from LGAs close to Mubi. I just took this pic now.

The Adamawa state governor Bala Ngillari, just declared a curfew starting from 9pm-5am. There is tension in town and rumours are just going round of an attack in the capital Yola, nothing like that is happening right now. But it's no rumour that BH told the fleeing Mubi resident that there next point of call is Yola. |
People are still arriving in their hundreds, the IDPs camp in Girei is over stretched, there is need for another camp to cater for the overflow. Also there is fear of an outbreak of disease. |
My neighbor's dad was killed, the pregnant wife of my friend that went to write her final exam is stranded in Cameroon, the worst and most pathetic is that some of the soldiers that ran away are stranded and are begging for lift. The situation is terrible, our nation needs prayers. |
Very painful I tell you, but it is well. |
It is very pathetic seeing Nigerians going through this in their own land. Some trekked for hours to get to safety, my friend's dad trekked 8 hours, another broke her knee cap after falling from behind the speeding car where she managed to squeeze herself. Many trekked into Cameroon and are still stranded, my venerable and family are still stranded, many students of Fed Poly and Adamawa state university Mubi are still stranded. You will weep when you see and hear the stories of the people that escaped. Many are still stranded. We need your prayers.
