Hi Guys,

Good morning. Where should passport be sent to and what are the steps ?

Emmafe:

Lagos and Abuja Mails
lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca
Abuja@international.gc.ca
ABUJA-IM-Enquiry@international.gc.ca

Lagos Webform
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=Lagos&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

@Emmafe Thank you so much for this approach. I sent web forms and also Emails and I got a response just now.

I will like to give you a background of the situation.

My younger brother who lives in the US was the one who sponsored my Sister for her masters program in Canada.

This application for a visit visa that was submitted to IRCC is a family Group visa and the applicant included are my mom and myself.

My younger brother in the United States is the sponsor of this trip.

Documents My younger brother submitted are :
His Bank of America personal bank statement : 489k USD balance

6 months of bank statement

Reference letter from Bank of America showing 12 months transaction and average monthly balance

Letter of sponsorship (signed affidavit)

US passport data page

8 months paystubs.

For myself, since my brother is sponsoring the trip

I submitted the following

Employment letter from work (a school in the United States)

My marriage certificate

My kids birth certificate

Document of landed property (inherited from my dad)

Family picture of my mom , brother , sister and I

CAC certificate

Now , just now we received an update and my mom got a BVL.

For my own application, I got a BVL and Refusal letter.

The generic letter is

Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

My monthly transaction is about 500k Naira per month and after paying bills what’s left is nothing.

How can I tackle this refusal and reapply?

My brother in the US is suggesting sending 5 million Naira to one of my accounts and then i transfer it from
that account to my primary account.

Or please how do I go about this?

I would appreciate y’alls input

The graduation is in August and this will avail all us to come together as a family.

Hello Guys,

Wanted to get your honest opinion.

I applied in May 2023,
on the tracker, it shows eligibility and biometrics have been completed.
Biometrics verification is still in progress

The intent is to grace my sister's graduation ceremony in July.

Since eligibility is completed, is it advisable to send a webform? i just found out that Lagos is the processing office after calling IRCC help line.

Congratulations on her behalf. Please whats the procedure to get affidavit of sponsorship from the US?

Just write a letter stating your intention and how you will sponsor the person then go to a public notary to get it notarized

Medicals are reviewed and updated by the Program Case Analyst while the Senior Immigration officer is responsible for initiating the request for a medical in order to continue processing your application. In view of the above timeline, there are higher chances that your application will be positively considered. Hang in there and remain positive.

It will end in praise

Thank you Mr Frankrobbn1. I appreciate the detailed information

I read on their portal that they start sending out admission offers in May. You could send them an email to confirm though. But your gpa is very good, a 1st class, be hopeful you'll get an offer.

Thank you @Ruby22. I will email the department again today

Thank you for makano, I really appreciate your response

makano:
Happy new year Jtom

There is nothing fast about Canada Visa application, even the NSE we thought would be fast, was same processing time with the normal applciation..

You have already submitted your application to IRCC and they have received it, there is not point re-submitting with a new portal or something...

Except you wanna dash IRCC a new year gift of another Visa application fee..

So far you are applying from Nigeria, it takes grace for your application to get a fast final decision from IRCC...

Peace
