Do u have the data files of about 1.2 gb if yes just google fifa 1.2.8 apk, maybe from 4shared. then after that i wil give u a link to where u wil download a file which u wil put it in the android data folder , around 8mb zipped ( not the android obb files,pliz delete the obb files for fifa 14 coz u wil have to download everything again) which wil overwrite the exixsting file of com.ea.game.fifa14_row thus u wil have a unlocked game they is no other way to go about it. i think now am clear. get 1.2.8 apk and the files to put in android data then u wil have an unlocked game

lets go step by step...
1. By using ES file explorer move the com.ea.game.fifa14_row in Android/obb to another folder of your choice, its vital for you not to lose the data u downloaded.
2. Uninstall the game now.
3. Install Fifa 1.2.8 Apk http://www1.datafilehost.com/d/a32f8848
4. Move back the com.ea.game.fifa14_row to Android/obb from where u had saved it earlier. Edit the folder in it to main.128.com.ea.xxxxxx(change only 129 to 128).. make sure it is main.128.com.ea.game.fifa14_row
5. Download this http://www.4shared.com/account/home.jsp#dir=vuqsmZoN or http://www.4shared.com/folder/vuqsmZoN/_online.html extract it put it in Android/data overwrite what u have there.
6. Put data n wifi on.
7. launch the game
8. tap checking existing purchase, now u should have unlocked game.

Something i noted marcjoe is if one downloaded the update version of 1.2.9 apk it becomes impossible to unlock the game, i was thea also i tried everything also the pressing the purchase option n it didnt work then i got it formula n it worked like charm. am damn sure he has a 1.2.9 apk thats why it cant unlock. when one donwloads the apk it comes with data which is stored in android/data n thats where the ur profile,speech,modes of games r store n thats what one unlocks n unfortunately for 1.2.9 apk its impossible to unlock thats y i used 1.2.8 apk which i believe u also r using that. try n check from your apps option in setting n tel mi the version u r using pliz if u dont mind?
