📖 2 Samuel 13:1-20

Today's valentine's day and like they say, "love is in the air!"

But then, what is love?

The best definition of love is GOD! Yes GOD IS LOVE!

The greatest demonstration of love is giving.

God so loves us, that He gave up His son to die as a sin sacrifice so we can spend eternity with Him.

No one can give bigger than God because His nature is love. Even when Solomon gave God 1000 burnt offerings🔥, God still out gave Solomon by giving him unmatched wisdom and riches.

Now sex is a wonderful love ♥️ gift from God to humanity. Unfortunately, the gift of sex has been greatly abused by man.

God's purpose for sex was to bond a man with his wife as one flesh and to procreate and replenish the earth.

Sex binds a man together as one with his wife, and that's a reason why sex is very pleasurable because it's isn't easy to live with another human being for the rest of your life. And that's why married couples should have sex often.

When people decide to have sex outside marriage, (like many will today) they are abusing God's gift of sex and are rebellious against Him.

Love can be expressed through sex ONLY in marriage. That's why sex in marriage can be rightfully called, 'love making".

Any type of sex outside marriage is LUSTFUL and SELFISH and will always end in PAIN, SHAME, REGRET AND TRAGEDY like we saw with King David and his children, Amnon and Tamar.

Keep sex for marriage.

What she did was bad, but the girl has got what she really wanted, publicity!

Pretty soon, some philanthropists would be asking about her just for cheap publicity.

Unfortunately, there is a spirit of lust (and fornication) that rules valentine's day....

Love and lust can never corelate.

Sex can never substitute love, sex is only a means of procreation and expression of love
in the security of marriage.

Any sex outside marriage is purely lust.

Most Nigerian employers feel they are doing you a favour by employing and paying you peanuts, They feel that you can't survive without them.

Sadly true ...

It's very difficult to see an employer that doesn't maltreat/discriminate his/her employees because of flimsy/minor issues.

That's why self employment isn't an option for most of us.

We all got secret issues that we don't want anyone to know...

That's why some lie when asked, how are you? by replying "fine".

But suicide is a big NO, no matter the issue.

Do you know you can operate effectively in the prophetic if you know how to praise God?

King David was called a prophet because he knew how to praise God. (Acts 2:29-30)

In the Old Testament, the prophets employed singing and musical instruments to stir up the Holy Spirit and the prophetic:

⁶ And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

Again we see something similar with Elisha. When he wanted audience with God, he asked for a musician and as the musician played, God spoke clearly to Him:

In the New Testament, when the early disciples wanted God's direction, they set aside time to worship God with fasting and the Holy Spirit spoke:

¹ Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
² As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

Many times I have God speak to me through worship by the Holy Spirit.

Most times the Holy Spirit speaks to me by first saying: "This saith the Spirit of the Lord,"...

I can't forget that night during a House on the Rock worship concert, when God said to me,

"If you spend more time praising me, I will meet all your needs".

If you are in need of prophecy, divine direction and divine revelations, you need to spend more time in praise and worship.

Praise provokes God's voice as He highly seeks worshippers. (John 4:23)

Why is God seeking worshippers? He is worthy of praise; He created all things and He is immensely pleased when we praise Him:

³⁰ I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
³¹ This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.

He created us to praise Him:

This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
📖— Isaiah 43:21

The same reason why you see so many churches on every street ....money! Soul winning is now overlooked.

The spirit of mammon has taken over many gospel singers and pastors.

When you open a church or become a gospel singer for the sole reason of making money, you are diverted from the right path.

Poverty is extremely bad and was never God's original intent for humanity.
