We all know it is not good to take hard drugs because it can harmfully affect the body and lead to addiction when taking too much. Due to this, these drugs are made illegal to purchase without a prescription to reduce the risk of people misusing them. There are various types of hard drugs, people claim that some give them a feeling of happiness.

My question is if someone took hard drugs without a prescription, without becoming addicted or harming their body (say they only took it once), this person has done something illegal (wrong by human laws) but has this person done anything wrong spiritually or does it follow the rule "drink but don't be drunk"? If you say it is wrong, please explain your point and if you say it is not wrong, please also explain.

Isaiah 3:10 is probably one of the most loved verses in the Bible. It assures us Christians that our tomorrow will be all right. One young fellow came to me some time ago and said he had heard that I was a prophet of God. I said, “Well, I am actually a Pastor, but I do hear from God once in a while”. He said, “No, I was told that whatever you prophesy comes to pass”. I said, “God has been faithful. How can I help you?” He responded, saying, “Can you tell me my future?” I asked, “Are you born again?” He said, “No”. I told him, “Your future will be terrible”. Believe it or not, your walk with God will determine your future. If you do some evil things now and think you have gotten away with them, you are deceiving yourself. Unless you repent, ask God for forgiveness and begin to live holy, you would still reap the consequences of your sins (Proverbs 6:12-15).

When the Bible says in Galatians 6:7 that God is not mocked and that whatsoever a man sows, shall he reap, it is no joke. Many people are suffering rejection, poverty, near-success syndromes, diseases and other forms of trauma today because of the unrighteous things they did in the past. Many go from Church to Church seeking deliverance, whereas their deliverance is in them repenting and making restitution. Some people are however, enjoying favour and good things because they have been living holy by the grace of God.

Your eternity is determined by the way you live while on earth. Jesus Christ is calling on you to surrender all to Him and live a righteous life in Him so that it indeed will be well with you.

Is praying in tongues real? What exactly is praying tongues? When you go to a church and the pastor says pray in tongues and everyone begins to speak in that way, what is really going on? Please kindly share your reasonable views and people who speak in tongues, also share your views as well. Particularly what exactly you are doing when you speak in tongues.

Thanks for your comment. I agree that “true religion” cannot be used as a tool for power. If by true religion you mean people with similar spiritual views coming together to deepen their views and aid each other on their spiritual journey then 100% I absolutely agree.

However, I don’t see much true religion in our world. The religion I see uses itself as a tool for power i.e gaining money, earthly esteem/status and influence, not only by politicians but by the average man too. Think of someone who goes to church and gives much offering not mainly for any noble goal but to show off that he has given a big offering. Many people go to church with the main goal being to show off. There are other examples. Let me not even get to some of this religious leaders.

When someone thinks of spiritual values i.e humility, modesty, patience, kindness etc and then looks at religions and sees how they operate, the person will probably be disgusted.

I am not denying that there are more tools that we human beings use to get power, of course there are. I am simply explaining one of them. One that many people do not think of as a tool for power and even think more of the opposite.

Thanks for sharing. I have faith that there is a God and there is more than the physical world. I believe these for 2 reasons. 1.) I think it can be logically inferred that there is more to this world than what we know as the physical and that we can see in everything the likeliness of there being a creator to the point someone might have to be very stubborn or lazy to go into atheism. 2.) Personal experience of many things that have led me to believe that there is a design of things that can only be made by the most loving and perfect being. However, I also believe that for the most part we are not able to sense other worlds and God and therefore we are not able to know exactly giving way to many confusion.

To me sin is more serious. You can say that committing a sin is breaking the laws of God but that is not all there is to it. Every human being that makes his decisions for himself and out of himself will know that there are certain kind of things he is repulsed by and certain kind of things that he enjoys. He will like to do whatever he perceives to be good and righteous and will be repulsed to do evil things. He will then see that the laws of God (not necessarily laws passed by religious organizations) are in line with what he senses. God did not make his laws hard for us to follow but quite natural. It’s only a man that allows himself to sleep and does not want to use his own senses and perception that will prefer to merely determine who is more in his favor or who is more likely to do right by him and then blindly follow their rules and customs.

Beautiful post, Max. Most Christian’s are really atheists. Indeed most of the Christian religion is a built up group of atheists because they have all been indoctrinated into the religion by their parents and live in the fear put there by their parents who may also have been indoctrinated into the faith by their parents. The same applies to some other of the big religions.

In my thinking it has occurred to me that religion is a big problem in this world. Not spirituality or faith itself but religion. Religion is a disease that kills you while making you feel good about yourself.

A lot of religious people try to convert as many people as they can to their faith. They do not even think about the person they are trying to convert. What is the level of thinking of this person? What is his spiritual perspective like? Will my faith be suitable for him? All they think about is how to hijack, for lack of a better word, someone into their religion. Religious people do not even really care about the doctrines of their faith. For instance it’s obvious many Christian’s will rather everyone in the world is subscribed to the Christian faith than they care everyone in the world loves their neighbor as theirselves. The same applies to other religions and it is just ridiculous to see.

How many times have people started war because of religion? Even when the people who the religions are based on where against war?How many times do many religious people use derogatory terms and derogatory tactics like intimidation to move people from other religion or faith to their own?

Religion is just a tool men use to get power and self worth, it is an enemy to faith and spirituality.

At least you can now see that God's Cursing the earth in Genesis 3 was not a joke but people are accustomed to struggling against it, which is ok as it is their right and choice.

Many thanks to the people who gave the last two comments. Let me clarify that I meant death in a natural manner and I am not suicidal.

What is this life? It seems to big for someone of my caliber to swallow. So much to understand but so very little we can understand. So much affecting us and so very little we can control. Indeed we cannot even with certainty know all that is affecting us. Is there life after death? It is logically very likely and many people think so but how many people can say that they have certainly seen anything outside the physical? I cannot recall ever doing so. All we have is beliefs but no conscious understanding. We are in a globe called the earth and we don’t remember how we got here. My question is this: Must we die before we can know for certain and live consciously? Will this misery ever end? How and how? What is the path forward please?

Brother some of the things you wrote are obviously taken out of context, some are so so out of context. Also, whether the Bible is perfect or not, if everything in the Bible is true or not, is not proof that God does not exist but only proof that everything in the Bible is not correct.
