It think is the strategic engagement of the State Governor might metamorphosis the basin to sea port. Take for instance, Abia State was offered Air strip, the Governor accepted it but went further to engage BAT and concessions were made. Today Abia is on the path of having an international Airport in Nsulu.

Charles Soludo should engage the presidency further if the state can shoulder parts of the responsibilities of having a sea port and turn the basin to it.

Let me even shock ,I dont fly in Nigeria I drive everywhere that I realy need to be when I visit.I drive from PH to Benin or Okada to the west, and I can drive to Aba and Onitsha to the east, I do that often.Im always on teh East west road when I land Nigeria

The system of Nigeria transport system is trajectory. Get what is been offered first that will aid development and then wait for supplement. When this project came, it was as an airstrip but the Governor knows what best suits residents of his state.

Rail transport system is not off the book but both does not serve same purpose and same class of people. Someone like me won't trust my life on a fast track than an airplane. Limitations also a bound in rail transportation as it is not easily connected within the federation.
