If Abia State can be contained especially Aba, then the South East didn't really participate in this protest. However, we need this protest in this country and I don't blame anyone playing to the gallery. Moreover, HE Alex Otti is economical with truth. If he said that Abia Civil Servants are paid wage award in trenches, then he is not in touch with the fact his directives are not carried out to the latter or he wants to be half baked ostrich. How much are you paying them as against what the Federal Government approved? Is it not 15k? So why talk as if you did them a favour whereas you are robbing them with the power of red pen. Yes! You are trying with your developmental plans but also know we discovered that project management and awarding is not top notch. For the love of Abians you profess, please avoid politicking at this point cause those whom you have wronged with your stringent policies are waiting for loopholes to bring anarchy in the State. In times like this, OVI is a maestro in handling uprisings with his liquor and pole dancers. One of my strongest principle is "Don't support a corrupt system because it favours you" and I encourage follow youths to shun Esaus lifestyle cause the future of this country is bleak no matter how much you are gaining now. |
Nigerians should clamour for referendum so that the Igbo Nation will leave Nigeria and stop soiling their reputable image abroad. Let Igbos have their country and be in the class of Mexico. Let the world see Igbis for who the truly are. Let's be foreigners to each other. Igbos are bane to Nigerians. Fellow countrymen hold your representatives in the Senate to ransom so that Igbos economic sabotage will stop. Imagine people with no access to sea port and international airport are sabotaging giant of Africa. |
Iran wants to cash on this to leech France for their recent anti-Islamic policies. This is no protest on behalf of Jesus Christ. Christ never condone fighting for him under any guise even at rhe point of his death. |
Druze community that's Conservative. Don't allow others to convert to their practice and rarely marry outsiders ??Israel!!! What if this distant Arabs are victims of your false flag? I don't support what Hezebollah have been doing in your territory but this lapses looks like one of you people's antics to enter Tit for tat game. In our dictionary there's nothing like coincidence. Suddenly the attack happened when Benjamin is in White House soliciting for assistance. Well I don't pity Lebanon for allowing Hezebollah to being using their territory as launch pad. Israel is on you Lebanon. |
From our preliminary study which could be seen in the attendance to meeting PBAT called for this protest, South East are not keen to it. Most of the reasons are as follows; 1. There's this sarcastic belief amongst them that they warned Nigerians during elections but violence was pegged against them. So like the proverbial saying "He who bring ant infected woods should get ready to dance". 2. They do ask in silent tone, "What do we stand to gain from the protest?" They have this view that the protest is all about central government, hence they are not interested because they are not part it. Funny enough, it is widely speculated amongst them that their States government are performing in recent times. So no need for protest. 3. The aftermath of previous protest especially the EndSARS which was pegged on them and the negative resultant effects, is still fresh in their minds. So they choose not to protest to avoid further unnecessary dramas, insults and tantrums against them. 4. The South-Easterns are also perceiving that this protest is actually targeted against them both politically (which PO represents) and economically (that's the likes of Alaba markets are distancing themselves from the protest). Especially with the rate of hunger in the country there shops will be victims of the protest. Best shot is to stay away. 5. The believe that Nigeria electorates are on the learning process of not voting biasely. Politically too, they want to attract Northern allegiance. 6. As mostly those in the daily economic business of this country, they believe the inflation is on their side; increase price of products, we will increase selling price". 7. Due to the menace of Unknown gunmen, South East believes they are the endangered specie in Nigeria, wherein the government is looking for an excuse to reck havoc on them. 8. So long as Nnamdi Kanu is in prison, an average person from East is not interest in any revolutionary moves that is not geared to giving them Biafra. PS: They will still participate in the protest but not with their full chest. |
When we try to school some delinquents here on the game politicians uses tribalism and religion to play on us, they go around like a bleating he-goat. Nigeria is a society with a class struggle between the Elite and the poor. In Economics this is a bad indices, wherein we have two extremes in classes. The Elites in Nigeria knows how to stroke the fangs of tribalism and religion to achieve whatever they want ensuring that Nigerians don't see this country from the prism of patriotism. Whether PDP, LP or APC, it is class struggle among the elites in their momentary covens called political party/ies. None of this leaders are ready to drop these tools to ensure a patriotic Nigerians. They only cry fouls, if their spoons are withdrawn, stained or stolen. People like Reno, Fubara, Wike etc are recent examples and I wonder how people still follows these kind. The danger of the scales which tribalism and religion have bestowed on us is more pronounced in its ability to create herd mentality. This herd mentality have become a circus bane especially in Northern Nigeria. People are easily inspired to do the bidding of these wanton men. Till we see through this class struggle as the real reason of a decayed Nigeria. Nigeria will still not rise again. |
flokii:I will dwell on your second paragraph and avoid anything that will lead the trade to tribal war. Ok let me start with your first statement. Linking my assumptions to sci-fic movies is sequel to saying that the story of trojan horse is not real. We have what we call flash flags. I believe you must have seen its examples everywhere- CIA sponsored protests, drug trafficking, terrorism etc, wherein the come into play as mediators and do havoc. Most recent is October 7 -an excuse for IDF to level Palestine. Then why should it be that such seemingly arrangement can't be perpetrate by this government to achieve their aims? If you're a good chess player, these rhetorics easy plays out before you even before it happens because you will know how to connect dots void of emotions (not an insult). Lets watch as things unfold not forgetting the famous aphorism from a living statesman "Any protest that exceeds 24hrs have government hands in it". Secondly, I have lived and worked in Abuja. Stating that Abuja is a safe haven for non-Northerns is dicey and a keg of gun powder, when the North don't like you. I cite example with Jonathan led government because I saw what hatred for an individual could cause people do. The routes you claim safe are they not Nyanya and Suleja routes, that once boys were given 500 naira and placard the block them while the military stand at ease watching. Your third point...it suffices for me to assert we all are Nigerians and the trigger rate of violence in Lagos can't be equated with that of Northern states no matter what percieved threat "Non-indigenes" poises. I know how many times I arrived work late then in Abuja due to series of protest. I belief Nigeria should evolve above this tribal perceptions that the political class have brainwashed us with. MossadAgent:Quite unfortunate that your audacity is iced with stupidity and assumptions belief that anyone who speaks ill of this Government is Igbo. I said discourse and not ranting. Let me school you in your beclouded analysis and quack audacity. 1. If you actually went to a university, you definitely will discern when one refers to a situation as case study. 2. You're bereft of authenticity to that trash you put up there. The Government House in Abia State, located at Library Avenue is not a rented apartment. I won't school you further in this but try to read up discoveries of Otti's Government on the ownership of the premises which has been fraudulently used to siphon money in Abia through budgetary provisions. To enlighten you a bit kiddo, till date nobody have come forward to claim ownership of the property since Alex Otti lead Government requested for the owners to show up. (B) The new Government House in Abia State was not build by Okezie Ikpeazu led government rather it was started by T.A Orji government. Ikpeazu's never completed the building but did a hogwash opening of the Government House wherein he invited the tug in Abuja to commission it. The Government House till date is home to jackals and squirrels. 3. If actually you are in Lagos, I believe we have the best specialist in Yaba to help check your mental state. Please ensure to visit their triage. Misery begats stupidity and presumptuous assumptions. This is why once a madman sees a sensible fellow, he feels threatened and attacks first without reasoning if the sensible is there to help him in his state. Saleh kiddo, I am here for reasonable fellows. By the way You insult your name. Damilare. |
What if this protest is Government sponsored? Like a black ops to return Nigeria's capital to Lagos; A safe haven for this current government. Before you spill your bile let use Abia State as a case study of this discourse. Since the return of democratic governance in Abia State in 1999, except Sen Orji Uzor Kalu, no other Governor have used the Government House PERMANENTLY. They rest Governor's resorts to rhetorics on reasons of not staying at GH. I would have loved to state circulated unconfirmed reasons but in other not to feed tribal bigots here, I will swerve. These preceding governments all govern Abia from the comfort of their havens, ensuring that nothing make their homes less the real Government House. They used this method to contend threats to their lives, family/ies and governance (enjoyment and looting spree). Now let's revert back to my earlier assumptions. Tinubu being a good strategist knows danger lurks in the corridors of his government. That even with all the security paraphernalias around Aso, he is not safe if coup d'etat should happen. Having seen how Goodluck Jonathan government was topple, which he is an enablers. Tinubu; A good strategist, a core Yoruba man he is, will in this instance look for ways to return to his safe haven to govern Nigeria but will have to do such in a manner he will not be implicated as one who bite the hand that feed him or led to the whittlingof the Northern hegemony and power of Southern protectorate. The quest for Esaus hands began earnestly while the voice remains that of Jacob. Do you know that in the face of chaos, the President who have the rubber stamp Senate in his pockets can relocate the Federal Captial or be excused to govern from his safe haven. Please try not to link the relocation of some departments of CBN to Lagos in this but which government can function without his bank close by? The capital being in the North have being the greatest undoing of Southerners and Tinubu knows the dangers it poises to him, having learned from the mistakes of Goodluck Jonathan while also the North know its advantages and will do anything possible to retain the seat of power in Abuja. The question is, will Tinubu outwit the Northerns with this protest to return the capital to Lagos? Before you engage, try to demystify the sudden Local Government autonomy and clamour for Confederation cum creation of more States. All these could be part of the sphinx. Whether you protest or not, we are virtually stooges to these politicians especially the game masters.

CyrusVI:Shei now we go chop stats? What is not Logical and sound when someone asked "What is growth, if not reflected in the life of the citizens? Are we growing from what to what? You don't celebrate a goal when the referee have not decided. In democratic settings, citizens are the referees and they are asking "where is the growth and its impact? Can we stop all these tantrums that coarses and deprives people the opportunity to contribute? |
This is why you don't put square peg in round hole. It takes a being that values something to know that genius can walk that path even as a toddler. |
The grand plan to ensure that Biden does not contest again is on high level ![]() |
Hon. Justice James Omotosho has done what he knows how best to do. The maestro in delivering of justice for paddy paddy, a maverick in redefining sections in our Constitution and epitome of Nigeria law students. Oga Philip the man with contacts; Abuja warlord from the town with many creeks, is a man to know but if he desires your wife -don't argue. The usual chant of "Edo no be Lagos" will rape this thread but know also that you are under spell like those rejoicing over local autonomy. Class 99 is now incharge. Align with them and win all battles. |
How are these groups formed? Everyday we wake to charade of drunkards whose brook ceased flowing posing as common man's leverage towards government. It is hightime that a policy is formulated wherein these groups pay monthly fees to government. Their monthly fees will serve as revenue source for the government and also give them higher stake when making their demands. The bedeviled era of Buhari administration muted these groups, why? Because their brook was supplying liquor to them. Now the tide is flowing South-West, you suddenly remembered the sanctity of the Koran where it is stated that liquor is not good for a believer, hence we must protest against it. The hypocrisy of the North is blaring like ambulance siren during burials in Eastern Nigeria. You will surely see the dead mocked, know his evil deeds but dare not eat the burial rice with banana because you are might be burn with a bunch of matches. |
Kani101:The above is misinformation. The expected money is N15,000 per month for three months, totalling N45,000. The Governor approved this after he held a meeting with Labour Union leaders and its affiliates in the State over the planned strike. One of the reasons for the strike is the alleged provision of N35,000 palliatives for Civil Servants for six months by Federal Government, which Dr Alex Otti OFR refuted that the state recieved nothing of such. However, he stated that in other for him to ameliorate the harsh economy situation on the part of Civil Servants, he will pay additional N15,000 to their salaries starting from the month of July to September, 2024 (3Months interval). Nonetheless, he has promised to review the N30,000 minimum wage been paid to Civil Servants in the state because Labour Union and its affiliates opined that what previous Administration was paying them is not N30,000 minimum rather additional N10,000 to the previous minimum prior to the Federal Government upward review of the wage. |
Richtaiwo:It is quite unfortunate that most things we grade as cruise later forms opinions about us and changes our mindsets subtly. If at this period in this country, you still engage in shenanigans and uncanny speeches then the hope of Nigeria is lost. How on earth did you get the figures that Abia state pays its workers Eighteen Thousand Naira minimum wage and owes workers 18 months salary? This your assumption lacks Knowledge. |
The crop of politicians we have in this country seriously loose along as they wish. How will a custodian of the welfare of his state citizens utter such gibberish? Should the Press Secretary and his media team not be questioned on why their Excellency was not properly guided to say such obscenity to the people? This further suffices the argument that most educated Nigeria politicians are a square peg in a round hole due to their lack of pedigree in political science. I am of the opinion that having at least a diploma in political science or Law should be a perquisite for anyone contesting for elective position in the country. |
