Edygrin:Let me buttress the above observations from you and state why Abia needs it own Airport as follows; 1. Anambra Airport is more than 2hrs:00 mins drive from the closest boundary of Abia to its location while Owerri is more than 1hr:15mins drive from Umuahia (The state's capital not even Aba the economic hub of the state) 2. Enugu Airport and Akanu-Ibiam Airport are both more than 2hrs drive from Umuahia.. 3. I am stating facts because I use them... 4. You asked why the State needs an Airport, right? Firstly I can tell you that more than 50% of OWR and UYO passengers are from Abia state..we service these airports, raise internally generated revenue for them at their own credit (Don't forget the new tax bill may see the heavens soonest). Now if you are a business man, does this values lost on transit a better option to an Airport that will service you within 45 mins drive from any part of Abia? 5. Prior to the siting of the Airport, considerations where made regarding how the airport will serve the mega city (Aba which is business hub) and the service city (Umuahia the capital), bringing a bridge development that will aid in the creation of new city within the Mgbarakuma axis down to Umuikaa. This is to ensure that both cities are not choked with the rapid developments happening. 6. The Airport is more of a cargo Airport with the mindset of ensuring that ease of doing business is achievable in the state. Abia needs the Airport for more numerous reasons because it will equally lead to job creation, enhance tourism and travels. Trust me with the recent happenings in Abia, the Airport is not an elephant project nor that which will be short of passengers when finished. Only Aba residents down to the business areas in Ukwa will keep the airport busy. The only problem here is OWR and Uyo will be greatly affected as more passengers will use Abia airport but it is all about the citizens of the state, internally generated revenue and development. PS: As it may be a cargo Airport some pioneer airports will be decongested. |
This guy is really arrogant. Study his body language. The manner with which he dropped his speech note, his lips movement and gesture shows that he want this charades to end quickly so that he can truly make the uber driver disappear. There's nothing Honourable about this human. Let him be recall. |
Heard this guy is very wicked and had issues with travellers along Enugu express that yesterday. How can someone confidently hold motorist ransom for over two hours because you know your right and refused giving egunje? That same yesterday someone gave him a good slap while others threatened him. So it's no suprise that he will cough out all the illegal money he has been collecting to motorist. |
Kill the guy and burn his corpse. Leave ni traces. With just 200k, you will get perfect job done. |
Who no sabi road to his church? When policies becomes anti-christain is when you don't allow people to preach the gospel like they do in most Northern states or you ask them to pay tax before preaching. There should be tax on noise pollution - mosque own too much abegi |

princeade86:There are Civil Servants. They are the worst hit as their day to day pilfering will be affected, which in turns reflect in their feeding at home. The government are helpless because we don't have a function system wherein the welfare and security of the people is top priority. I once told a political appointee the need for one of the Governor's who we are working for to provide Buses to convey at least civil servants who are the worst hit of these inflations thro and fro work. If this have been in position, no civil servant will have an excuse not to be at his desk during these sit at homes. Take for instance, today the whole city roads is deserted and power holding did a good one for them today - power have been available since morning. You won't blame a civil servant who does not have a means to come to work why s/he avoided today. You won't blame them for doubting our security agencies, whom themselves are scared of their lives; then who protects who? No matter what the State Governor will do for now, there is a distrust among Easterners towards these governments that can make them heed to their directives. The influence lies on IPOB, who is virtually in charge of the transport system and markets. By the way, you won't force a private citizen to do his business in your own terms, when his capital is not yours; which majority of Igbos falls into this category. Finally remember, Igbo enweghi Eze and the Governors definitely can't be one for them. |
This topic is a very emotional one. What baffles me is insensitive folks who support this government and cast aspersions on those who doesn't. |
Anijay1212:Not hilarious! This is reality. I once dated an Akwa-ibom girl from Abak. They are what a virtuous woman should be. I had issues with my family, when I was asked not to marry her. The issue lingered that I had to travelled down to my maternal home that I have not visited for over 17 years to pleaded for their support; all to no avail. I was disappointed with what stereotyping could cause one. My Dad who is liberal and even instigated the relationship at a point became helpless because his kinsmen said they won't be part of my marriage. The stereotype I hinted earlier on is, that an average lady from that side does not remain faithful to any man not from their side. I tried my best to dislodge such mindset but wetin man go do. Kokonma is such a good spirit, a jolly follow and a georgous lady. Kokonma's bedmatics is top-notch. |
Mrchippychappy:The guy is sick upstairs. When you see bigots, you will know by how beclouded their reasonings are. How can a sound mind be this daft? |
Auxtan:Just go to truecaller and save him as "juju Scammer".. I just did that. |
Fear of the unknown is the greatest form of death. |
Nobody noticed the size of the gutters. Nice one from Aba. |
Mbanefor hall 06...Tanker! Tanker!! Tanker!!! Even my CASOR brothers were not left out in our momentary mischievousness. My first experience as a fresh in that hall was funky. A hostel with no day or night. Wake up 12 pm, you will see people playing football, table tennis, watching movies in the common room or at the indomie and bread stand arguing and gisting in high tones. Due to the high rate of activities in that hostel which I was not accustomed to, I jumped up from my bed around 2pm thinking I was already late for lecturer. I rushed and picked my buckets, as I was heading out of my room omo everywhere dark o except the flood lights gracing these mild monsters playing football at that time. I was disappointed with myself when I checked time .Mbanefor hall a place to be as a Lion. Though I left the hostel later for off campus, I still retained my room till I graduated. Omo that hall na fun, crazy and the real street. Hardly any property is yours even your cloth might be looked ![]() The first riot i experienced as an undergraduate was orchestrated from that hall. Once a lady, you be tanker. The only experience I missed was not obliging my female coursemates who do ask me to sleep over in their rooms (students were not much then in school). Omo I froze o razon575: |
It is how it should be but i think what's playing out before us, is a long carefully calculated strategy by the West -US precisely to deal with Iran's growing influence in the world and Middle-East at large. From the onset of October 7, you won't tell me that two of the best intelligency agencies; good with infiltration in the world did not know that such attack will happen. I believe one of their agents in the ranks and files of Hamas must have lead them on to carry out the attack while Mossad turn blind eye so as theid plans will kick off in scale of defense and blabla ba. The Ukraine war is also part of the calculation whereby the Russian will be preoccupied with their own wars first, before being an ally. Bet me, in the event of Iran and Isreal "war", the Ukarainians will intensify their attacks on Russian soil. The US wants to wane Russian and Iran of their growing influence in Middle-East and same time warn other chukuchuku wannabe powers that they are capable of anything. This is more of Economical influence than political war. My analysis o Homiesjinxbank: |
No wonder Bibi sent condolence message to Iran in advance. Typical of Mossad modus operandi. Iran will indeed be liberated. Supreme leaders death is very close. |
Subtle warning to the Supreme leader of Iran. The play out maybe internally orchestrate. |
Falana again? They will soon rubbish this man's integrity and pedigree. Who knows what's next for him with all these subtle dragging here and there for the wrong reasons? |
At this point I will stop engaging you but refer you to BIR ask them what each Local Government contribute as revenue to the state, move to Ministry of Lands and Housing abd ask what the Ngwa region have to offer to the state. Did you just ask, "Aside from Aba what else does an Ngwa man have?" Bro you are talking with someone who is in the known about happenings in your state. Which part of Ngwaland is comparable to development, table land and security to Bende, Isiukwuato, Umunneochi and Ohafia axis of your state? Calm bro, make I no go give others wetin to use attack Abia later. Ojiofor: |
Ok still on your analogy.. Abia North is made of who and who? Abia South is predominately Ngwas Abia Central is Ngwa and Umuahia, right? If Umuahia people have ruled is it not Logical for someone of the other divide to rule to balance the equation? Don't you think is greed that will make someone from Abia North to rule/ have stake more in the state than those whom you believe are in the majority? What justifies that? You said we should leave history of Abia out of this, then what's the essence of living. If not from history, where did you get the notion that Ngwa people are more clannish than your people? Did politics just started off oblivion? These your subsumed colonial creation are they not in existence? Even in the fourth Republic where majority votes is important, why promote power rotation? Ojiofor: |
Now sequel to the above reply, Is your fear that of the Local Government Areas that will remain in Abia state or that the goose that lays the golden egg is pulled out from Old Bende's whims? Just like the oil that grease the wheel of Nigeria is in Southern Nigeria so it is with the Ngwas in Abia State. State your truth and stop profiling people as clannish. Tomorrow you will fight hard here, when Igbos are been profile as ritualist, drug barons and all evils in their bag. Until there is a paradigm shift in thinking, you will continue to emotinally justify your wrong submissions. Tomorrow it will be "Wawa people" or "Deje people". Just like Obasanjo said "Atiku to be president? I laugh" Old Bende region will keep developing Ngwa region just same way una believe say "Igbos are developing Lagos ". |
Sorry for my earlier tantrums. You replied as it should be but your earlier submissions were more clannish than the accused. Let me delve into the politics of Abia as someone who grew up in the state and in the known. Abia state is typically divided into two divisions: The Aba Ngwa and Old Bende axis. Now let us go into the power play since the creation of Abia. The first civilian governor of Abia till the later; * Ogbonnaya Onu - Old Bende region * Orji Uzor Kalu - Old Bende region (Abia North) * T.A Orji - Old Bende region (Abia Central) * Okezie Ikpeazu - Aba Ngwa region (Abia South) * Oti Chioma - ancestry is from Old Bende region but choose to live among Ngwas in Abia Central. Worthy of note is that Abia central is made up of both old Bende and Ngwa extractions and in this mixture...the Old Bende have taken their slot. In all sincerity, what is wrong if Okezie Ikpeazu chooses to return the governorship slot to Abia central wherein the Ngwa extraction take it so as to be duly represented? From the above presentation where did the Ngwa people became greed and clannish? Who are those more represented in the State since its creation wherein old Bende have produced 3 governors, Otti making it 4 while Ngwas have produced 1 governor? Is Nigeria rulership wherein the North with nothing to contribute to this entity wants to take it all and still the less developed not typically displayed in Abia State? Let the sane minds judge your reply. Ps: Each time I look at Abia State, I see Nigeria in full display. Ojiofor: |
You speak like one that is daft. I have been reading through other people's contributions and found out your are a man full of prejuice. Juxtapose your shameless comments about a tribe in Igboland with how other ethnicity percieves Igbo's. You want Biafra, see your mouth full of venoms against a tribe of your own. Same way you don't want an Aba state, Biafra will continue to suffer sabotage. With people of your mentality, I won't be suprise, if tomorrow an Ngwa person states that they are not Igbo's like an average Onitsha man will call you (Nwa ndi Igbo). Moreover, most Ngwas that I have encountered claim ancestry to Omuma people in Rivers State and of Akwa-ibom extraction. When they speak of Igbos that are draft, insulting and bags of evil, with your speech pattern one can deduce that people from your side of Igbo are powerful delegates and representatives. State your fear clearly, that what makes Abia a revenue generating state is predominately from Ngwa extraction; if the should leave Old Bende will be a carcass of lost glory. I am in the state and involved in high level matters, so I know what I am saying. Men like you needs to be guage. PS: Both late VC and Okey is good - The persons OVi who is from Abia South presented as Governorship candidates is not of the same senatorial zones or Local Government with him rather both are from Abia Central and Isialangwa axis. From the position of Ex playboy and a married man, I will confidently say not all love leads to marriage. Marriage in its entirety is different from this lovey-dovey stuffs we see online; most are just PDAs. Love is a value in marriage but something that transcends it is UNDERSTANDING. No matter how you love a lady or guy and s/he doesn't understand, chaos is inevitable. Yes! You can love someone and end up not getting married to the person. The problem most of us have is that we mature in age and not in mind, trying not to give attention to what exact is and what ought to be. If I should hang my bragging right, I will say this in sincerity that I do love all my exes, still keeps in touch with them, yet I love my wife and she indeed understands me more than them all. The famous aphorism says "love never dies". Unless you never loved the person from the onset which proves why there's hate, bickering, wishing of evil and blocking of lines once there's a separation. Those who act in such behaviours as listed are those in relationship that was transactional and not truly based in love because love truly know when to let go. |
Those not versed with security architecture will buy this buga. The perimeters Bill Gate was seen walking was guarded and properly mounted - off camera. Watch the guys on suit and observe how they move when someone moves within BG's perimeter. He is passing a subtle message different from this humility bullshit. |
Your explanation of statue of liberty seems to have correlation with what played out in this years Olympics. |
Lebanon was warned! Unfortunately, they will suffer collateral damage. |
Did you just typed this in all sincerity? Like someone said "Big Nawa o" forexprophet: |
There's a lecturer in Umudike demanding sex from final year students. I won't mention his name now or department but if he insists, I will even show his pictures. |
