I'm sorry for just coming up with this. Me wey dey always request for birth story as police dey request for #20 . Na now I know say e no easy!

My story will be in two episodes namely "At home" and "in the hospital" (na only beedam own go dey different nah )am just laughing ad waiting for my own drama congrat dear


Episode 1
It all started when I reached 37weeks I started taking long walks and as I ve already read here and some pregnancy forum too about pineapple being used to bring on labour. Na so I start to dey eat pineapple o from week 37.

Then when I was 40+5days, I was so tired of being pregnant so i decided to change from pineapple to castor oil. I trekked from ojuelegba to tejuosho that afternoon and I bought meat(orisirisi) to cook in the evening.

From people's review, they said a lot of wonderful thing about it. Then on my way home,i bounced into a pharmacy store around 4pm and bought the oil. I was afraid to use it till around 10pm when I summon courage and took a cover of the oil. I left my room and went to my neighbors shop downstairs who was helping me cook with my camp gas at the back of the shop.


She finished the stew,egusi soup and made eba for me. By 10:30pm,i started feeling uncomfortable so I decided to go back upstairs. Her daughter helped me carry the soup while I carry the eba.( never knew say I no go chop am )

I stay in the uppermost floor of a two storey building, by the time I got to the first floor na so I hold my bumbum say I wan use toilet. I couldn't climb the stairs so I knocked on my neighbors door to use their toilet. I stayed there for like 30minutes but Shit no come out. I left the toilet and went to stay in their living room.(na do labour dey start ?

I was walking up and down, standing and sitting at the same time. Entered toilet like 30times in 30 minutes . I thought I was forcing Shit to come out,not knowing I was pushing cos I couldn't control myself. I was sha feeling this urge to push. When I couldn't hold it anymore, we decided to leave for the hospital around 12pm. They assisted me to bring my things downstairs as I already showed them all I want to take. We called the cab man and we left for the hospital around 12:05.

Your DR is not serious, what does it mean by "he doesn't check for sex"? Its your prerogative to know, he is a service provider & should act like one.
I'm going to ask the sonographer not to reveal the sex to me cos I DON'T WANT TO KNOW, not cos they wouldn't tell me....

The sex is sometimes not visible but the most important thing is for the baby to be healthy and fine! Sometimes they even make mistakes in the sex and you see a baby boy wear pink...lol

What did d hosp say was wrong b4 giving paracetamol injection? Any fibroid? That weight is a likely indication of a big baby cos u stil have a minimum of 10weeks! S delivery nd maximum of 13-14weeks depending on ao soon labour sets in. If there's fibroid, it cld b red degeneration changes but if nt,pls check back to the hosp, abdominal pain of the intensity u r describing is nt safe in preg.. hope dis helps..

I took paludrine when I was about 7weeks. I was told it wasn't safe for me to take malaria drugs at that time and even though I had malaria, I took d paludrine 1 a day (wh is for prevention sha). It took me till about 15/16 weeks when I treated it fully. Get well soon

Well informed thread I must say and am glad to me here.
I am 6 weeks plus gone by His grace and have been feeling superb till now ( between nausea and spitting ).

Please I want to ask these question:-
1. Can I take not so peppery pepper soup once in a while?
2. Is tom tom good for me now?
3. Frequent visits to the toilet to do the major(poo), is it normal?
4. I have not started ANC, was told by the Doc where I did ultrasound to chill till 8 weeks from now but I should take things slow, does that apply too?TPM tom is not bad it reduced d spitting

It all started by 3.34am on Tuesday,I couldn't lie down,sit nor stand,was just moving and shaking up and down...Dh was sleeping so I shouted at him wake up,wen d pain was much I came on line to post my condition and I was told maybe d baby is getting ready to come,immediately it was 5.54am my and DH begin this long walk,we strolled till I was getting weary.. and DAT day was also my antenatal day,so wen we got home we prepared to go to d hospital(still feeling d pains) so I went to shower den I saw d mucur discharge,immediately I knew I was in labor.. On getting to d hospital d way I was doing my face while nurse is checking me dey said how old is d pregnancy I told dem,the matron just match me to d labor room on our way she asked if I have seen mocur I said yes.... Na there d story change,she checked me as at DAT tym I was 3cm,I was there ooooo,d matron told Dh to go and bring our bag..To cut the long story short wen it was 7.33pm d pain was so much DAT I was shouting none stop..DH went to call d doctor she checked me and my babys head abt to be out so I should gather all my strength and push,of which I did but I didn't have strength cos I ve vommitted like 5-6tyms DAT day...Finanly I called on God to give me strength cos d doc said my baby must not stay long where he is DAT he may get weak,I just pushed really hard and my prince fly out wen it was 7.54pm,weighing 3kg d baby tear me a little..... I give all d glory to d almighty God and am grateful to you all too.. Eshey Gan..! sorry for d long story,it wasn't easy but it was worth it after all.

Hello all. I am a FTM to a beautiful baby girl who's 7 weeks old. We are currently having an issue with strange body rash that started first at her elbows. We tried using ori ( local shea butter) and baby powder but it has spread all over her body. While some are drying up new rashes are showing up on the skin. I am so worried. This happened within the last week. Does anyone have such experience and what did you do to solve it?

BIRTH STORYYY
Since Primary health center has gone on strike, I did not go for checkup or anything.

Just yesterday, I was disturbed that my due date is past with no show. My first was delivered exactly on her due date.
I Just went to register in another maternity home in my area and the matron checked me but said baby isn't close at all but i was feeling some contraction.

This morning after my normal house chores and morning prayer. I noticed a little mucus and just put on a pad. I went to the maternity home but the matron is not available. I just told hubby that i need to go pick up my smile 4g mifi @ surulere. He insisted he must follow me and we went together.

All the while, i have started feeling the contraction and its coming closer. We left smile and go shopping, all in the name of excercise.

After returning home around 12noon,I climbed the staircase like 5 times and went to the matron and she said the baby is getting closer but i should come back.

I went back home and around 2pm, I took 4teaspoon of castor oil and apple juice but it didn't give me diarrhea. I started feeling the strong contraction but i dont want to go to the mat. home till i am really close.

When its 3:50, I couldn't hold it any longer so, i carried my self to the matron and she just passed drip. The contraction na first grade. I was just telling her i want to pooo, wee and vomit at the same time. so she said its not possible that i shouldn't push yet.

I couldn't hold it and i was partially pushing, till she said i should finally push.

I pushed like 4 times and the baby boy(AYMAN) came out at exactly 4:35pm spending just 35-40mins in the hospital. The placenta came 3mins later.


ALHAMDULILLAH, ITS EASIER THAN I THOUGHT.
MAY ALL PUSHING MAMA'S DELIVERY BE EASIER THAN MINE.

I went for antenatal class on monday and was told to come for induction on sunday of d following week if labour fail to start because my doctor believed it was getting to late at 41 weeks. However, due to d fear of bn induced and not considering 41 weeks to be too late, I deccided to ignor d doctor and wait until labor starts. I started having abdominal pain after leaving the hospital, i therefore decided to wait for the pain to be stronger but it was just on and off, waking up d second day, I saw some kind of sticky fluid on d bed and hubby took me to d hospital and was told it was my water that was leaking and I ll be induced on that same day. At exactly 8:30am I was given d first dose of misoprostol and d second dose at 2:30 and that was when the pain began! I started the breathing exercise which really helped, it got to a point I started crying and screaming my mum' s name. One of the doctor came to check on me but fund out my cervis was still closed and gave me the third dose hoping I will be fully dilated before d next day. Early morning of the next day I was just 2 cm dilated. My baby heart beat was checked nd was told it was irregular, the doctor therefore called my hubby to let dem transfer me to d theater because d baby was getting weak. At exactly 11:30 on wednesday my baby was brought out weighed 3.9kg at 41 weeks. Now i'm home with DELISHA in my arms. Laugh!!!!!

Abeg when is this cramps going to stop cos I panick whenever it starts I've bn vry careful to make sure my stress is minimal and again my doc is yet to prescribe drugs 4 me o I'm in my 6th week and he said no self medication so I dnt knw if I should go ahead and start taking folic acid or jst abide by his rule.

Glory b 2 almighty God for his abundant favour. Our prince arrived yesterday. My heart is so full of joy as I cuddle my bundle of joy. May God deliver oda pushing mamas safely and bless all those ttc with children that will b a source of joy d parents. Birth story 2come later.
