blank: Immediately start your baby on ORT. Go to any pharmacy and buy it. Your child can become dehydrated. Eva water is not enough.
If your baby has diarrhoea, the cause could be:
an infection, such as gastroenteritis too much fruit or juicea reaction to medicationa sensitivity or allergy to a food type.

Greenish poo seems to me like your baby is having too much of the fore milk (light milk that first comes out) than the hind milk. Make sure you breastfeed for a long time on one breast before you move to the other. MAke sure she empties that breast before you move to the other one.

omogemi: is it her same doctor? how about the water u give her? what type of food did u introduce to her or milk.

CrazyMan: You may be permitted to come from home to do your registration cos you're a nursing mother.

In regards to the registration...Registration takes a day or 2 if you arrive in camp early enough...so I would suggest you arrive early so you can be done with yours before the majority arrives.

CrazyMan: You don't have to defer anything.

After your registration you will be decamped, and expected to return after camping to collect your posting letter because the camp is not conducive enough for your condition and state of health and that of your child.

You child's safety should be your top priority...the camp environment isn't the best place to nurse a 5months old child.

Decamping would be your best option.

Stallion84: I wont recommend as u may not be physically fit for the activities done. And as the name refers, its a camp. u are meant to stay there. why not defer it for now and go with another batch.

infogenius: You can work out ur safe period and also visit a family planning center close to you.

infogenius: Since you have not noticed anything,then it is possible that you have not been ovulating at all (anovulation) or which is a symptom of irregular periods.



You did not take care of yourself adequately with lower abdominal massages with hot water recommended for women after child borth.Anyway,it will go in the course of time.Just let it be.

k4kenny: ^^^as u can see from the other posts, introducing solids to babies isn't so easy especially if u've done EBF. Just follow the advices above. Buy rice cereals, u can make guinea corn pap and mix with b.reast milk. Also very light semo and amala with ewedu. When he's a little older u can cook peeled beans with a little palm oil and titus fish. My lil man also enjoyed banana+ apple puree and canned Gerber foods. It might not be so easy at first. Its trial and error with babies

corrall: Hi babes... Well for me I tied mine with wrapper, day n night for over 2 weeks, immediately I gave birth I started tieing . In fact that first month was not easy o, but if u see me now enh, u won't even believe I gave birth. Anyways what I can advise is sit-ups for the tummy. Just in case the tieing does not work. I don't believe in girdles anyways.

demmykay: @julicoka U̶̲̥̅̊ re not alone in dis big belle issue Oº°˚. M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣̥ baby is 2months now nd M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣̥ belle is still big dat I don't know wat to do. I used gedo yet I can't see any improvement nd I do feel very uncomfortable wit d gedo. Don't know wat to do again to get M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣̥ belle back to shape. Pls anyone with hints dat will help shd pls drop it

Mcfemad: Good day all, trust we'd a pleasant weekend and the week started on a good note.

I will like to make another enquiry; We've heard so much about buying flasks- some are fake, some don't work well, some cannot hold hot water temperature beyond 3hours or so and bla bla bla. Some say to recognize the good ones, you should put ear and if you hear sounds- its a good one. This flask brand is good- this one is bad!. Its somehow confusing and no one wants to waste money on buying on fake/not too good products.

Experienced mothers in the house, your opinions please. How do we recognize the good ones?

idprincess: I lost my baby. Multiple fibroids. D doc didn't scan me before giving me injections to calm d pains. I went into premature labor twenty mins later and eventually passed out my baby while attempting to pee.I just finished having an evacuation today tuesday

omogemi: @julicoka., pls i beg u continue with the ebf w/o water. it is of great benefit and has nothing to do with weight but more of health. try to google health benefits of bf.it is that water that wont make her take much milk cos it will fill the tummy. i understand bf babies dont gain much weight as formula fed babies. my baby will soon be six months and she is not on the fat side.infact she looks like a 4 month old. my mum, my husband and others were like i must give her water but i refused. she was gaining weight until she was 4 months when she tried to refuse bossom milk which i later realized was teething but in the real sense of it she is very very very healthy. right now she is teething but it isnt weighing her down coz of the bf. A fellow nursing mum said to me it isnt abt weight but the health aspect of it n not just for today but also for the future. and since the doctor said she is ok then she is. so u know what is best for ur baby as a mother, do it.
@ify'sworld. with all due respect, breastmilk is i understand,is 88% water. my mum also said this same thing u said to me and when i tried giving my daughter she almost had diarrhea and i stopped imm. EBF is best without water. babies that are EBF are never dehydrated coz breast milk is water packed with nutrients. they have all they need in the milk.



she might be teething already. it may be her way of teething but u can take her to the doctor.

omogemi: i knw there is fake but i myself cant differentiate xcpt by d price. This is coz d tym i went to Lagos Island i wanted to buy but was kinda sceptical coz of d price. The lady was selling @ 250. But d one i am using @ d moment is N500 and its original cos d woman brings them directly from abroad and she gave me assurance on it. Even my mum confirmed it due to the smell.
It is an eucalyptus oil and has a strong/gently minty smell. If u cant mix it with baby oil, u can put a drop or 2 on ur baby's head b4/after applying baby oil. U dont need to rub it allover the head, just on the cradle cap, that soft part of the baby's head that 'breathes'
also u can rub a lil bit of baby menthlatum on her chest, back n feet. , it helps fight catar.

omogemi: yes it will. mix with the baby oil. it helps a lot. presently i mixed it with my baby oil. half silverbird with a bottle of oil.i use boots baby oil.be sure its original and becarful when mixing so it doesnt spill allover the place



it can be used alone or mixed with shea butter. it depends on ur choice. although during ante natal we were told to use alone, but i mix mine with shea butter and tribact. my baby's skin is 'clean' and fyn.
