Even with the invention of various ad sizes, websites, and apps have a limited range to choose from, and they all tend to be from the same banner size. Based on my experience working with over 1000 website publishers and apps, the most common banner sizes are 300 by 250 (medium), 728 by 90 (leaderboard), 320 by 50 (mobile banner), and 160 by 600. (landscape).

The following are some of the ad banner sizes available which will be categorized into two types which are Mobile and Desktop banner sizes;

200 x 200px: This is a much smaller square than the 250 x 250 and it is hardly used by publishers and less preferred by advertisers because of its lack of visibility factor, which can affect the overall performance of the ad.
