Aida13: Linda Ikeji you have finally lost my respect. How dare you place pictures of someone else's young children on your blog? Even abroad they'd never try that. At least they'd blur out the faces of the kids to protect the kids' identities. This deserves a law suit. I don't mind representing Femi Kuti for free so he can get a hefty settlement. And I'm not even a Femi Kuti fan. Jeez what lack of professionalism on Linda's part tttttffiiiiaaa!!! True that. She has successfully exposed those little ones to untold humiliation. Now, imagine their classmates asking them about their paternal origin. Linda goofed. |

martyns303: Wow! soo many awards to spell my name, lets have the face of Albert Einstein on a currency then, No? How about Chinua Achebe, maybe Wole Soyinka? Since awards are the basis for being immortalised on a currency, how did her achievements impact Nigeria as a Nation? Am sure u will have to think for a very long time since 95% of the people above don't even know who she is, irrespective of the fact that she has been on the N20 note for decades, someone even thought she was just a painting (to put it more harshly, that's how insignificant her achievements are, that no one remembers her).
But then even a 10yr old would recognize Mandela, Ghandi and the Queen, Nigeria lacks people of such reputation. (Bite me if you want). I would rather have the face of an unknown soldier who fought the Biafran war to keep Nigeria an independent and single nation.
And stop cursing, it doesnt tell well of u. Insignificant? Smh. Father, please forgive him for he knows not what he says. * Nigeria does not lack people of reputation. What we lack is a re-connect with our history. An average American knows so much about their Country, History, but not an African Child. This got so much to do with our education system. Please, do ask an average Nigerian student about their State of Origin. You'd be amazed that they know nothing about it. So, don't be surprised if 'we' know little about this woman in our currency. |

ajebuter: I don't know what is wrong with this generation and over indulgence of children. I don't see this as child abuse or punishment at all. Compared to what my generation passed through in Isale eko grammar school between 1986-91, this is childs's play in the hands of our teachers like Mr Bello, Mr John, Mr MAO, Mr Afoloabi or Baba Nwosu. But look at how most of us tunrned out in life.. At least I'm praying for those teachers today and especially my parentd for not holding the teachers or dragging them to police station for child abuse and those teachers are proud of how some of us turned out from the most notorious college in those days. So please, punishment within reason aint bad for our kids pls. The highlighted is true. There's need for moderation in all things.....Just that some teachers could go the extra mile, like that Uganda minder. I was in the clinic yesterday when an high school girl was rushed in (emergency) she fainted while a teacher was wiping her. I guess, this is one of the reasons why the government/parents advocate, No to corporal punishment. |

Maybe it has so much to do with greed, Musiwa94. Just look deep within.. And ask yourself how we get to where we are and what motivate the actions of the Niger Delta Militants, the Boko Harams, the Arewa, Oduduwa? Everyone is fighting a cause to promote their economic, political, religious interest. This is the definition of greed, and sadly we have got ourselves leaders who vehemently promote such and not tolerance.
We achieve so much in life through love and not through force. #MHO |

Politics › Re: Nigeria Won't Break-up In 2015 Says Kumuyi by JustCurious: 9:38am On Nov 26, 2014 |
Kinkale: Every utterance on Nigeria breaking up is a pronouncement made from observations and not prophecies. “I believe those who made those pronouncements based on some things they see or feel should say ‘they feel Nigeria may break up’ and not that God said that. Because if God could hear the voice of only Moses and spared Israel and they still exist over 3,000 years after, then God loves Nigeria and would not allow it to break up. “God has a purpose for Nigeria. When people talk of division, the truth is that once you start the process, it never ends. Once you say, ‘people in the North, go your way and those in the South, go your way,’ there are other people who will also rise up to say they too want to go their own way even within you. You know what happened in the 1960s; several sides will begin to be asked to go away but I know that God has a purpose for bringing Nigeria together and we shall remain one.” Kumuyi also advised the electorate to elect leaders based on competence rather than on sentimental considerations.

Elose11: The height of magnanimity! Never knew Gov Fayose can be this forgiving. ONI decamped to APC and campaigned seriously against Fayose's election. Wish our leaders can see politics as just a game. There must be a winner and a loser. Pour moi, this is really impressive. He could have diverted the fund for other things, however, he needed to set the record straight despite the political enmity between them. Fayose needs to be cut some slacks, really. Let's give him some ample time to prove his worth. #MHO |

Now, why wouldn't they jump fence as if they care much for the masses. A huge number of them aren't 'representing' their constituencies but their self interest. They keep building mansions as if Christ has changed his plans to build mansions for us in Heaven. Shame on them, regardless of their parties! Yes, shame on those APC, PDP leaders who cannot effect change despite their many years in service... Sometimes, I just wish this nation could be 'reformatted' to her default setting. We've been so unlucky with leaders.. |

GenBuhari: This is not something you could not overcome. I was worried that you were going to say you were gay or something. My assessment is that almost all your problems stems from depression. Work on your depression and everything else would start falling into place quicker than you would ever imagine. That's so true. Op, what exactly do you think you need to get out of depression? r231: UPDATE!!!
He is stable, able to even walk around and also adding weight (his flesh is returning) but his tummy is still a bit bloated.
The doctors said before the biopsy, they will have to run tests to see if his body will tolerate it so that's what we are waiting for.
Apart from the bloated tummy right now, he has no other complains. His feeding, sleeping and other functions are normal
TeHN Thank God. |

The Bible says that the devil comes to steal, to kill and to destroy..But, I am come that they might have life. Please, do not exchange what you've got (but do not realise it) with lucifer's offer.
