meekhat: I am a young man from the east who used to support PDP administration with my whole family ofcourse for ethnic reasons. After listenning to APC manifesto through the VP candidate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo in a town hall interactive session with the youth (south East) held at Enugu on AIT this night, I did not just change my mind alone, my elder brother who happens to be a bigot and a fanatic supporter of GEJ did same. I saw and perceived change in Osinbajo's words. Sincerely speaking, truth always stands out and one will always differentiate truth from propaganda if he/she is a truthful fellow. I was almost sheding tears at the level of lies, propaganda and misrule PDP has subjected Nigerians to all these while. Finally, i am happy my family now believe in CHANGE. It was my first time hearing him, speak. And, I was highly impressed. He seems a great guy with great ideas. |

MsNas: I'm good. Thanks for asking about me. I just watch from the sidelines, come in here briefly and read. You know the semester is kicking it up a notch
We're snowed and iced in down in AR today, classes and school cancelled, so I get a break from school. #Finally! That highlighted part makes me doff my hat for you all in Ark... *doffs*LOL* I wouldn't forget my experience in a jiffy. #I came visiting Little Rock, same time, last year. And, I had a dose of the climatic condition, which led to our program schedule disrupted, Schools, Offices, restaurant CLOSED. Such a 'unique' State in comparism with others, visited. I remember we chatted in one of the threads (Canada), last year. Thank you for the heads up. |

Evina: God is no respecter of persons. He can break any protocol to favor the one He chooses.
I am starting a new job with an international organization in March. God did the same thing, He broke protocols for me. Candidates wrote gmat and went through two stages of interview, while I only attended the final stage. I don't know any man in that organization. Infact, a top recruitment firm handled the recruitment process. I only interviewed with the Management.
I have done medicals and received my offer of engagement letter. The favour of God I experienced stunned me into immense gratitude. You are so right. People need to understand that protocols don't exist in an atmosphere of God-driven favour. It's beyond physical comprehension. Illogical. When God says YES, thatzall. I could relate to your testimony. Congratulations, BTW. May we experience more of His favour in Jesus name. |

delugadou: I have to be honest with you. The only way to settle this issue is to bring out the monster in you. Your dad has been bewitched & only violence will restore his sanity. That boys quarters rightfully belongs to the 1st son until he becomes financially stable. You don't need anybody to come & negotiate with ur dad. Tell it to his face
Any day daddy dies, its the 1st son's responsibility to foot the burial bills. That's tradition. If he disrespects the first son today, who will bury him when the time comes? Nobody
Rally your siblings and bring back your eldest brother to take back his rightful place in the family. Do it now !
Your brother is not going to find it funny while squatting with people. A lot of insults, inconvenience & suffering is involved. To make matters worse, a dog made him leave his house. Its heartbreaking & can cause psychological trauma
Make sure all ur siblings are of one mind & purpose. Don't hesitate to damage any one who tries to be an obstacle. Beat the hell out of anyone who comes to dictate your life for you. Break bones if need be. (I would have broken that woman's two hands that she used to break the door). If police arrests me, i'll come back in less than 48hrs because na family matter. Our pastor go bail me.
When the bitch sees that u guys are out for blood, she & ur dad will bring people to beg. Then u will give them conditions for peace.
The bible says we should obey our parents in the Lord. It also went ahead to warn our parents not to provoke us and discourage us. Read ephesians well
This world no longer appreciates peaceful people. The violent are the ones who get their rights these days.
Your dad must treat all of you equally without partiality. If he refuses, you take your rights by force! He must provide shelter, food, education & everything you guys need until u're able to fend for yourselves. Its not something that is negotiable. I will not beg for my right. Never
If they don't want to serve you food, go to the pot and serve yourself. If she makes noise, you guys shout her down. Make her understand that you guys are ready for anything and will deal with her if need be. If they deny you school fees, then make sure her kids won't go to school too. Anything she gets is what you must get too. (you should know how to threaten someone)
I cannot see my birthright given to a dog and fold my hands. I'll cook the dog for lunch.
No matter what people tell you, your step mother doesn't wish u well. If not, she won't dishonour the firstborn of the family. If you leave that house now that you have not fully balanced as a man, you will know the definition of "suffering"
NB: Your plan can only work if your siblings are with one purpose. Also pay serious attention to the kind of dreams you and ur siblings are having. I want to believe u're an adult.
What I wrote is what I would do. I respect your opinion of who/what I am Applying violence doesn't work in most cases! Let's hope the step-mother isn't diabolical, else, she might make a spiritual journey to 'clearing' any oppositor off her path. The world is an evil place. It's not worth losing your life because of any earthly property. I tell you, wisdom is profitable in all things. As Moca rightly suggested, OP and her siblings should forget about the property for now. Yes, this might be painful, but, it's a better alternative. And, while you are out there, doing your things, never forget the place of fasting/prayer to possessing your rightful possession and restoring your father's sanity. . Prayer changes things. Best wishes. |

Take your own advise and move on. I dint even remember taking to you to start with... Hey, kindly re-read your initial post, Aresa. You weren't fair in your 'judgement'. Voting for PDP in Lagos and APC for Presidency is Babs01'S CHOICE and you truly need to respect it and not flag it as non sensible. Your response to his post got my attention, this is because I also have candidates in both parties. Don't you think, It would have been fairer for you to ask him the reason(s) for his choice than to label it as non sensible?? That hurts. |

unlike GEJ who eats with N1bn Politics aside. Please always get your facts, right. And, Just to educate you.. That annual bugdet of N1 billion for feeding isn't for GEJ and his family ONLY but for every other visitor that comes visiting. Do you consider to know how many visitors that his Presidency host every year? Do you care to know how some of them are refreshed, fed? The drinks, the fruit, the buffet etc? All of these are inclusive in that budget. So please, always ask questions when in doubt. Thank you. |

ttmacoy: After reading this story, I have one question, what works as it should in Nigeria? Not Health Sector Not Power Sector Not Education Not even Aviation BUT Political Party/Department (APC, PDP, APGA, KOWA) seems to be the only sector working efficiently as it should, in Nigeria. There's always enough fund for political intent, campaign etc. Application Form sales in Millions of Naira doesn't scare them. So many things seem to work so well in that sector. Such a good sector to invest rigorously, for higher dividend. Unfortunately, not even a charity organisation gets as much Billions as they get during Fundraising exercise. *sic* |

Dear OP,
YES, you can get married to him.
This is unlike the Sickle Cell anaemia where SS carriers are advised against getting married to AA etc. Importantly, as a O- carrier, you'd have to take the Rhogram injection (during pregnancy and) after EVERY child birth within 72 hours!!!. This I know, from experience.
Rhesus Solution Initiative (RSI)is a fantastic non-governmental organisation in Nigeria that is creating awareness on Rhesus-related issues.

We will continue to look through all the comments and consider all the suggestions offered, and follow up on those that are best for Ahmed and that we can possibly handle.
We have about 10 heads including 2 doctors working day and night and looking through all the options and making hard choices in the best interest of Ahmed. We do not claim to be perfect but we have done and will continue to do whatever we consider as the best option for Ahmed unless there is a general consensus for us to hands off the case.

@Ceaser, you goofed. How could you ever share your private address on a PUBLIC forum, regardless!!?
A house that is divided against itself cannot stand. Oh! What a nation. Now, I understand why it seems Nigeria is getting no better. So much hatred and division, yet we have a highest population of bible-carrying Christians in both ethnicity -IBO, YORUBA.. Little wonder we can't even overcome our common enemy (BokoHaram) well, 'common' seems so relative now. Oh, Nigeria.
@OP You just earned yourself an award for creating the most irrelevant topic. Of what good is it to you, now?!? What intent? Shame on you!!!!!! Yes, you. Next time please, have better objectives for creating a thread. The photograph only shows a very humble woman and not slave.
It would be so nice to have the administrators delete this topic, while it reveals SO MUCH hatred, enmity... It doesn't promote what Nairaland stands for. |
