The local government allocation from the federal coffers to some local governments are double or triple digit numbers in millions of naira every month. So that kind of money is even worth billions if you add the money collected through out their 4 year tenure. Also that does not include their internal generated revenue which they collect from people living and working in the local government. So unless you are a billionaire don't ever say them commot chairman wey dey find means of livelihood. Wetin u wan come call person wey dey hawk bread and pure water for zanga.

OP I have seen some of your post and comments and I see you as a person with a high intellect. I am on the humane side of this matter, what goes for tinubu should also go for obj, jonathan, atiku, sambo and this crop of political office holders. They have all amassed property and wealth while in political office and tinubu is the only one on the list who was never a president or a vp. As a former governor tinubu got elected in 1999 at the end of the military era, when the belief was that the worst civilian government is better than the best military rule. So over 20 years of civilian rule should we still accept mediocrity. We complained how the state governors were short changing the local government chairman, now that the chairman are now collecting the allocations directly from the federal coffers, they are now short changing the councilors and the masses. Tinubu is no longer a political officer holder, so any political officer holder who steals in the name of tinubu will go to jail for tinubu. They got elected to serve the people and they are big boys and girls, do the crime and pay the time. So allow me to go after the ones that are still visible because they are the ones close to us here at the bottom. I can go for 10 years and not see tinubu but atleast twice in a month i can see a chairman going around with his aides.

I wrote a story here about how Fuad Atanda chairman ikoyi/obalande bought property worth billions on Adeyemi Lawson in old Ikoyi, you also commented on the article but the chairman had the story removed and deleted. Before it got deleted the last comment was that property belong to the local government. The good thing was that they did not deny the existence of the property, but that he did not own it. Now go to ikoyi/obalende and ask them does the local government own any property on that street and don't be surprised to hear no.

So if that was the main reason for removing Ajide, then almost all the chairmen will be impeached. Ajide has been having a running battle with the speaker federal house of reps. Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamilla since his first tenure and it is no coincidence that femi gbajabiamilla was on ground in surulere before ajide got impeached. Ajide's main crime was allowing the lagos state governor sanwo-olu to get booed in his local government during the super eagles qualifier. The general belief was the initial booing was staged while the masses also joined the bandwagon.

We complain that our government is bad and they are thieves. But in actuality we the people of this nation are the ones that are bad and also doing the stealing. A government of the people by the people for the people. So its the people who forget the struggle once they become part of the government. The not so honourable Tajudeen Ajide chairman of surulere lga has been impeached today. Sources were also saying the speaker federal house of reps. Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamilla is also around because surulere is his constituency. Other chairmen should be aware if you steal you will be removed. We also had a story about Fuad Atanda the chairman ikoyi/obalende buying property at Adeyemi Lawson in ikoyi worth billions, but for some reason the post was deleted at the behest of some people. But we are happy that before the post was removed, someone close to him replied that the property belongs to the local government. So the people of ikoyi/obalende your chairman is confirming you have property at Adeyemi Lawson.

With money being paid directly to the local government from the federal coffers, some of these thieving chairman make me wish the governors where still collecting the funds. The people are now seeing less of the dividends when it seems things should even get better. Power hungry chairman using the funds to buy houses, expensive cars, expensive life styles while the masses even suffer more. Look at Fuad Atanda chairman ikoyi/oblande in lagos, he grew up in obalande, his mom is still a tailor in obalande, people were happy when he became the chairman. But today people are suffering from his arrogance and style of governance, because he would rather try to rub shoulders with the rich he looked up too growing up than to elevate the poor he grew up with.
