I read in the news that the 2018 appropriation bill doesn't capture the much anticipated review of the new minimum wage. It is so disheartening to learn that this injustice against the majority of the Nigerian civil work force will have to continue in this mess, it is regrettable how the government has been so unreasonable and unforthcoming to the need of this grossly maligned masses.

The President the other day activated his veto power and withdrew a huge sum of money from the ECA sighting urgency of purpose for breach of due process and NASS assembly on the other hand has increase a budget proposal with over #500B before they could sign it and all the give as excuse was to cater for a certain but important primary healthcare sector which they seem didn't get as much consideration in the said budget.

Now isn't fair for them either the NASS or the Presidency to exercise such express power to review the minimum wage in the face of this obvious reception, inflation, and economic meltdown? Can't they find that it is unrealistic to be patriotic at duties with such meager pay?
