I resumed work immediately the next day after the visa change in Kuwait. Everybody in the company was delighted to have me back. But my mind is yet to settle. In as much as I want to work in the company I have also made a plan B to look for another Job in a month time if my Boss was unable to sort out issues he has with UAE government.

After like one month I came back from the visa change, my boss called me one morning to announce to me that he has applied for my employment visa, but I should be optimistic that everything would work out fine after they had conducted BACKGROUND SECURITY CHECK on me. This I later found out that due to the nature of my job as it had to do with the UAE security system, they had to run some security checks on me before any visa is issued to me. I thank God for his grace and favor as one morning, my boss called me to happily inform me that I passed the security check and working visa has been issued to me. Oh men see as I happy that day like say arsenal won premiership. Lol…

After like one week the employment visa came out my boss called me one morning that I should get ready for medical test. My heart skipped. It began to beat very fast, I have never gone for HIV, syphilis, malaria or hepatitis test before. I began to remember all the bad bad things I did in Nigeria before coming to UAE. I must say it was one of the coldest moments for me here. Fear gripped me, but I refused to utter it. I went for the test where they took my blood and conducted x-ray on me. Three days gone after the test I did not hear anything from my Boss. My heart was pounding seriously every day. The fifth day my boss told me one morning that my medical test had came out and I PASSED.

My little advice to anybody coming to UAE for job hunt. It is better you do the all the medical test here in Nigeria before coming to UAE. It would make your mind relaxed during your employment process here. I almost died of hypertension when I was waiting for the results. For those of you who don’t know. If you are diagnosed of any of these aforementioned diseases, na instant deportation be that!

After like one week I went for finger print, picture taking and eye scan for my emirate identity card. And I have finally been issued my emirates id .my joy knows no bound.

As I am writing this I have been made the team leader in my company, am on one month training in one university here and also I have been enrolled on a driving school. All expenses paid by my company.

I appreciate all Nairalanders here for your encouragements and advices. It has been God who has been seeing me through.

At exactly 11am yesterday, I received his WhatsApp message thus 'BRO SEND ME YOUR LOCATION, AM ON Mam WAY WITH MY FRIEND. I immediately responded to that, after like 1:30 I got a call from him that they parked somewhere close my place, with toyota Camry...., it took me quite some time to locate them, off we drove to the hotel. Thank God for the help of GPS, that was how they drove from Abu Dhabi to my location.

As we reached the hotel, see as I dey form boss imagine my colleague opening door for us, to be a guest sweet oooo. Even those fine ladies wey no send me come dey greet us with smile join.

When we got to the restaurant, we were presented with a menu list to make our choice.....

Few days ago I was given a birthday voucher from the GM of our hotel, I decided to invite my unseen friend though we have been discussing since I was in 9ja, He's an Indian, we met here on NL, he reside in Abu Dhabi and school in Dubai, his moniker is IndianBwoy, he knows a lot about Nigeria from politics, boko haram matter etc, the one wey shock be say him sabi speak pigin. He once told me to call him Babalawo.

To shorten the story, I invited him for the lunch, he didn't give me 100% assurance that he will come but would try to come with a friend, since the lunch is for 2, we planned on paying for 1 extra while we utilize the 2. The fear of him disappointing made me to post the invite here, of which Ugsam showed interest.
We chatted and I told him the situation on ground, we agreed if the Indian guy didn't show up, he will make it up for me.
