Celebrities / An Interview With Top Nigeria Female Entertainment Blogger by justmazino(m): 3:09pm On Apr 04, 2015
This was taken from http://www.mazinoblog.com/2015/03/bloggers-spotlight-ramat-oiza-ibrahim-trendyrammy.html, on a segment called bloggers spotlight. You want to know who this blogger is...then read on.

Q:Tell the readers a little about yourself and your blog.

My name is Ramat Oiza Ibrahim, a graduate of Computer Science from the University of Abuja. I hail from Kogi state and I'm the CEO and editor of TrendyRammy blog, one of the top entertainment blogs in Nigeria. At TrendyRammy, I try as much as possible to disseminate news to the readers faster than the speed of light.

Q:How long have you been blogging and how did you get started?

TrendyRammy have been in existence for about two years now. I started as a fashion blogger and I maintained the niche for almost a year but I had to change my niche after the first year because I noticed that fashion blogs don't sell in Nigeria and it was only narrowed to only females. I choose entertainment niche because from my research and *questionnaires* which was shared to some people, I was able to conclude that Nigerians are always interested in entertainment and political news.

Q:How often do you work on your blog?

You mean how often I work on my blog? Wow, from my niche I think you should be able to deduce it. Well, I work on my blog daily and at an interval of two - three hours. After my prayers in the morning, the first thing I do is to pick up my system and power it on and it's always the last thing I do at night before going to bed. *Weew*

Q:Is your blog a hobby or your profession?
Like I said earlier, I started as a fashion blogger and as at when I started my blog it was a place for me to share my PASSION for FASHION to people out there but as time went on, I noticed that we have professional bloggers who are making it big and don't even need a *white collar job* to be able to suit their bills. So, if I'm permitted I will say my blog is a platform which I created for hobby but has now turned into a profession.

Q:What is the main goal or purpose of your blog?
The purpose of my blog is to be able to disseminate credible and authentic news to readers. I also plan to make my blog a professional one, to make it evolve from a blog to a community.

Q:What secrets would you pass on to aspiring bloggers?
Be real, original, never give up and above all don't venture into blogging because of the love of money because trust me, If you do, you will get frustrated and quit in no time.

Q:Which blogger(s) you look up to as source of inspiration?
Hmmmm, I look up to Lailaand Linda Ikeji.

Q:Will you ever quit blogging someday?
I don't see myself quitting blogging even in the next 10 years. So help me God.

Q:What challenges do you face in blogging and how have you dealt with them?

I have so many challenges and nos 1 is getting traffic. It's really not easy getting traffic to your blog most especially the entertainment niche because it's a very competitive one but with the help of social networking sites like facebookand twitter, I still triumph.

Health / How To Manage Stress Effectively by justmazino(m): 3:22pm On Dec 26, 2014
Everyone will experience stress at one point of their live. Stress affects everyone both young and old, male and female, workers and students. Stress can affect one in so many ways. Stress in itself is not bad, it can make us perform under pressure and gear us up to meet a challenge. Have you ever wonder how you were able to perform a seemingly difficult task in the shortest nick of time? It was stress! Stress stimulate the emergency hormone adrenaline that enabled you carry out that task on time. However, stress become harmful when it has negative effects on our health. When stress is at the peak, the body releases hormones that increases the heart rate, breathing and blood pressure, sweating and muscle tense.

Stress may be short-term (acute) or long-term (chronic), and can be a threat to our physical and mental health. Chronic stress can cause health disorders. It can suppress the immune system, hasten the aging process. Others problems related to stress are depression, sleep problems, heart disease, abnormal weight gain or loss, kidney failure, fertility problem, skin problems, emotional exhaustion, increased aggression and deteriorating relationships.

Stressor is the stimulus that causes stress. We all have our own different stressor. The key to dealing with stress is identifying the underlying cause. For some people, working long hours, high demanding job, school assignments, traumatic experience, insecurity and anxiety can trigger stress. While others may be as a result of fear of what may happen that is yet to happen. Sadly, to cope with stress some people indulge in alcohol drinking, tobacco smoking and drug abuse. Spending too much time in front of the television set or computer is a habit some people also develop in trying to cope with stress. Others result to abnormal eating patterns or yell at people for little or no reason. These habits can never relief anyone of stress but rather compound the problem.

There are healthier ways to manage stress. You need to deal with your mindset, know your limitations and set realistic goals. You cannot do everything you wish to do. Learn to assign tasks or seek assistance from reliable individuals. Learn to confide in others, people you can trust. It reduces emotional burden. Stop being overly anxious, too much anxieties can drain you emotionally, thus increasing your stress level. Fear is a common constant in human lives, but always having the fear of what may never happen will only increase your stress level. Avoid being overly-worried about things that are yet to happen, most times they never occur. Learn to relax. Exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet and get sufficient sleep. Make some quiet time for yourself regularly. Smiling and laughing is a big stress reliever, so always smile and laugh, it can ease tension. Always stay calm when when you feel offended. Learn to have a forgiven spirit, your mind will always be at ease. Listen to wholesome music. Music makes the mind relax and calm.
To sum it all up, time and unforeseen events can overtake us, moreso that we live a in a world of economic and political instability. Therefore, we should worry less over what we do not have control over.

Health / How You Can Prevent And Relieve Migraine by justmazino(m): 11:09am On Dec 25, 2014
Migraine is a severe headache that causes throbbing or pulsating pain usually in a localized side of the head. It's debilitating effects can affect one's economic and social life. From mild to excruciating pain, migraine can hinder a person productivity and affect his performance in different endeavors and also disrupt sleep. Migraine may start slow and gradually progress to become painful leading to severe headache. Migraine is common in women than in men, although there are no established reasons why women experience migraine more than men. People between the ages of 10 to 40 are more susceptible to migraine. Migraine can happen at any point in time but most times start in early morning. Migraine is not a life-threatening condition so sufferers shouldn't entertain unnecessary panic.

Migraine may begin with aura. Aura is just the warning sign that usually occur before the headache. It is the visual effects that includes flashes of light and double vision. The exact causes of migraine are not completely understood, but it is thought to be from chemical changes that occur in the brain as a result of response to certain numerous life events known as triggers. Triggers causes irritation of the pain sensing nerves in the head area leading to expansion of the blood vessels. The throbbing nature of the pain apparently corresponds to blood going through the expanded vessels.

Factors That Can Cause Migraine Trigger Attack Are;
*. Delaying or skipping meals
*. Stress
*. Certain medications
*. Strong odors
*. Bright lights and sunlight
*. Certain foods
*. Traveling
*. Excessive noise
*. Anxiety
*. Depression

How to Prevent Migraine
After identifying triggers of migraine attack it is much easier to prevent it. It is worth noting to know that each person triggers differ. In reality, it is quite difficult to identify migraine triggers because attacks can be caused by combined factors. For example, a woman may experience migraine during her menstrual period and another time she does not. This indicate that there is an additional unidentified contributing factor. Whatever the case maybe, you can relieve migraine.

You can relieve migraine through this ways;
*. Avoid stress.
*. Maintain a regular sleep-wake pattern
*. Avoid excessive noise
*. Always find time to relax

The above suggestions are few lifestyle changes that can help prevent and relieve migraine. If you still experience migraine, how then can it be treated? There is no perfect drug to relieve migraine because after taking a prescribed drug, you may still experience migraine. Nevertheless, you may find relief after trying another drug. Some migraine patients have find relief from using the drug called triptans. It is a relatively effective prescription class of drugs for treating migraines. The demerit of triptans is that it is quite expensive and do not work for everyone. Some factors should be considered before choosing medication such as triptans. Health condition and age is one of such factors. Not all migraine drugs are good for children, same also for pregnant women and breast-feeding mothers. When you experience signs of a migraine, after taking pain-relieving drugs you should relax in a quiet dark room. For proper guideline and recommendation on exact drug to take or not to take for a migraine attack, you should consult your doctor.
