Engagement is lovely but not with difficult people. The info you seek is googleable so why not do that and get back to me?

1. How much does a barrel of crude cost?
2. How many litres of refined products can you get out of a singe barrel?
3. What is the cost per litre of these products which include PMS, diesel, aviation fuel and so on.
4. What is the total value of a refined barrel of crude in output?

The answers are all there.

When you have this data you can come back.

i am not difficult....!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

You don't seem to get it - I'm not interested in the argument at all. Or to put it the way you may understand, I really don't care what you care about. I have given you the framework, you can google the rest. Or feel free to disagree. Either way works very well for me. Cheers.

Really don't know why you're arguing or what point you're trying to make. For many years this was exactly how Nigeria operated. We swapped crude for refined products to eliminate the fx issues in the middle. It's not a new system and it obviously works. If you need details you can google them yourself but it is a fact that the quantity of refined products is significantly higher than the quantity of crude in a single barrel. Don't argue for the sake of it.

bros....how much do you sell a barrel of crude and how much do you buy refined crude per liter....

thats all i care about....

provide this informations then we can start arguein if what you say make sense....

Lies Oga.

You people keep demonstrating ignorance.

Nnpc has joint venture partnership with several IOCs to explore crude. Crude explored in Nigeria whether for local or international has to be sold at opec pricing otherwise we will be sanctioned.

I think Seun needs to start banning people that display wanton levels of ignorance so we can bring some level of santity to this forum.

wetin bannin will bring....??

we have to educate each other in different fields....

That's obviously not how it works. You give me 50 naira worth of yam and I give you back 50 naira worth of yam flour. I can make 100 naira worth of yam flour from 50 naira yam. The excess is my profit. You take your 50 naira and give it to your yam marketers at 30 naira. the 20 naira is the subsidy. Everyone is happy.

bwahaha....absolutly not....how much do you sell a barrel of oil that you buy a liter of oil today....??

how much liter is in a barrel of crude oil....??

do you even understand the difference between a barrel and a liter....??

So, we can even earn more foreign exchange.

i would stop always thinkin on foreign exchange....

naira is still not that weak....
their are currencies still much weaker than the naira today....

its up to us to start concentratin on local production before naira become another cedi or zimbabwe currency....

It will not!

The benefit is that we would not be using foreign exchange to import PMS anymore. PMS import is the largest consumer of our foreign exchange.

So, the benefit will be Naira may strengthen due to lower demand

you are forgetin neighborin countries countin on that refinery too....

have you forgotin that president of ghana was at the ceremonies....??

And by the way, out of over 50 million Nigerians seeking employment Exactly how many can be employed in that refinery that will make a dent in our employment deficit?

question is how many nigerians realy learnt anything about refinin crude oil accordin to international standard....

Why not? I'm merely suggesting that we trade whatever we want to sell to Dangote to avoid fx issues. So it's not really a question of how much crude we produce.

it doesnt make any economical sense anyways....

And even though we have a working refinery, for that refinery to work well, Dangote must be allowed to set whatever price he wants to set...so that workers are paid well, shareholders see returns on investment, maintenance costs are paid, expansion plans are carried out, etc etc.

Remember, Dangote refinery is not NNPC refinery, where government pays workers salaries, whether the things works or no.

The cost to refine crude to fuel is about 800 naira per litre? That's not true bro. I think the marketers arrived at that figure because they factored in the cost of importation and landing. That's why they say landing price of fuel is 800 per litre. So when we eliminate the cost of importation and landing, logically fuel should sell lesser than what is it now.

i dont think you will get it much cheaper in nigeria than in other nations....

wouldnt make sense....

fuel is not something that you take out of the ground already as a finish product....
you must process crude oil to get fuel....

dont forget maschines dont function only on crude oil....

the question you should be askin yourself is,why didnt this rubbish whites invent maschines that run directly with crude oil....

when you understand how sinister they are then things start to make sense....

A subsidy wouldn't affect Dangote - he would get his full price regardless of whether it is the marketers paying or the government paying him. Producers don't bear the burden of a subsidy.

always the consumers....thats not hard to understand....

GeneralDae:

I think we can bring back subsidy with this method. We sell enough Crude to Dangote and local refineries in dollars and then we keep a fixed price of 350 naira for the masses.

The dollar is not wasted because the local refiners like Dangote and NNPC (through PH refinery) would still convert some dollars to naira for their local operations

you realy need to start thinkin about dumpin dollars....
their are many nations emergin today ready to do business with anybody local currency to local currency....

saudi arabia is already doing it with some countries....

I feel for you. Why would Dangote buy feedstock at international price? That is the first problem, if he signed a supply agreement with NNPC to supply feedstock from their allotment for local production. Because that is where the issue lies.

that means goverment is already tryin to pay subsidy for you through dangote if he keeps the deal....

but i doubt if its realy that case....
nigerian goverment sellin to a indigenous refiner would make sense because nigeria is havin issues sellin crude in international market....

we are hearin news that nigeria is havin issues sellin their crude....
