The question of "How much is the current NYSC State allowance Nationwide?" is always on the mind of every prospective corp members (PCMs) preparing for NYSC Youth Corp programme.

Just in case you are not aware, NYSC members across all Sates in the federation used to receive the sum of N19,800 (Nineteen Thousand eight Hundred Naira) from the Federal Government before it was increased to N33,000.

Current NYSC State Allowance
Going by the current inflation of goods and services in the country, for an average corp member, this allowance can barely go anywhere in meeting his or her needs.

However, from the information we are getting, some lucky corp members do receive other forms of payments or stipends form their Place of Primary Assignment (PPA).

While others due to their Course of Study and or location are able to receive better payment packages from their PPA.

NYSC Allowance in Abuja and Akwa Ibom
For instance, a corp member who reside in Abuja, if lucky to be posted to a firm, can be paid between N30,000 to 40,000 Naira.

Meanwhile, if a corper is posted to a State like Akwa Ibom, He or She will receive N 10,000 per month as State allowance plus other stipends.

NYSC Doctor Allowance
Also, for some corp members who are in the medical profession like Doctors, Nurses and Pharmacist, and posted to Teaching hospitals or Clinics, may receive nothing less than N 150,000 Naira monthly.

If you are posted to Akwa Ibom State Hospitals or Clinics, you will get nothing less than N75,000 naira as NYSC State allowance, aside from your federal allowance.

Any member who leaves his duty station or absents himself from any official activity without the permission of the State Coordinator shall be tried by the Corps Disciplinary Committee and, if found guilty, be liable to extension of service with half pay double the period of absence.
