Globalscholar1: Thanks for sharing the details.
At 36, with 7 years in IT/Instrumentation Engineering, a BSc (Ed), and a family of 3, I wouldn't pick a country for you based on the ₦30M alone.
The part I'd want to check properly is how your actual IT/Instrumentation work maps to the occupation codes and qualification requirements of the skilled/employer routes available to you. That can change the options considerably.
So before spending money on applications, I'd first narrow down the routes that actually fit your profile and family situation.
If you want, send me your exact job role/duties and whether your wife is working, and I can tell you what part of the profile needs checking first. My wife is 30, works in banking, I work on computer hardware/software, networking, and specialized gas equipment. |

BonkoINC: So nobody talking bout jobs again especially in the UK. Twice now a distant friend has gotten two jobs as an hotel clerk in the UK. And he applied from here..
And for COS with it.
We used to have sites we could apply directly from Nigeria. But I don't see anyone talking bout it anymore.
Omo What site is he applying on? |

Globalscholar1: ₦30M IS NOT THE REAL PROBLEM. CHOOSING THE WRONG ROUTE IS. 🚨
Let me add this because this is where many people get it wrong.
If you have ₦20M, ₦25M or ₦30M and you're relocating with a wife/husband + children, please don't start by asking “Which country can I enter?”
Start with:
“Which pathway actually works for MY family?”
Because two people can have the same ₦30M and have completely different options.
One person's profession may fit an employer-sponsored route.
Another person's qualification may require recognition or licensing first.
Another person may discover that the route they were planning doesn't allow their spouse or children to come under the same conditions.
And someone else may spend millions on a route that looked attractive online, only to discover later that the numbers don't work for their actual family.
This is why “my friend did it” is one of the most dangerous ways to plan relocation. 😂
Your friend's age is not your age.
Your friend's occupation is not your occupation.
Your friend's family size is not your family size.
And their immigration status may not even be the same route you're considering.
₦30M should be enough to make you plan carefully, not gamble carelessly.
If you're currently planning to relocate with your family, drop just these 5 things:
Age | Profession | Highest qualification | Years of experience | Family size
Let's see how different the picture becomes when we stop talking about “japa” generally and start talking about actual profiles. 👀 Age: 36 Profession: IT / Instrumentation Engr Highest qualification: Bsc (Ed) Years of experience: 7 Family size: 3 |

Imalwayshorny: Yes, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Open University of Nigeria can be positively assessed, provided specific institutional requirements are met. Because NOUN is fully accredited by the National Universities Commission, its certificates are legally valid and widely recognized globally for evaluation. Thank you for your prompt response, I'd like to ask, what specific institutional requirements? |
Travel › Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by jworos(m): 5:51pm On Sep 21 |
tunlex01: NOUN is not a tier 1 university. As a result, your first degree is considered an Associate degree and cannot assess as a teacher because AITSL requires a Bachelor equivalent (AQF 7) while your degree is AQF 6. You will need a PGDE with a minimum of 9 weeks teaching practice to assess. Masters will not count because it does not have teaching practice element except yours does and it's included on your transcript Hello, Please can a PGDE from NOUN be positively assessed? With the necessary teacher training done. |

tunlex01: Overall points does not count for skilled visa 189, 190 and 491 EOI. it's based on individual scores.
If you have L9 S9 R9 and W6.5, it's 0 point in EOI even though your overall will 8.5 Hello, i cant find your youtube channel, but i saw a video you were invited to speak on with title "Secrets to Migrating to Australia as a Teacher with @AustraliaPathfinder" Perssonally, I studied Computer Science Education, for my Diploma and Bachelors, but my degree is from Delta state uni, and from what you said in the video, my Uni is not among the eligible universities, so if I intend to follow that route, I'll have to do a PGD in Education with Teaching practice of at least 45 days. After school, I've been working as a technician for an oil and gas company with over 5yrs of experience. Please i would need your advise on the best route to follow. Thank you in anticipation |

Thank you very much for the prompt response, personally I’ll like to go with my expertise as a technician as it will be easier to get references from there plus other proofs if need be, we will look into the language tests, thank you very much sir. yingman: Age 36 reduces points a bit, so language will be the key.
Your profile: • BSc + Diploma • About 1.5 years skilled teaching work • Currently a technician in oil and gas
Your wife: • BSc in Microbiology • Works in a bank (likely skilled work depending on duties)
Which one is better PA? It depends on language scores. Whoever can score higher in IELTS and possibly French should be the PA.
Best route: • Both of you should take IELTS and target CLB 9 • If possible add French (TEF) to boost CRS • Collect reference letters for all skilled work (teaching and banking)
Teaching can work under education NOC, banking can work under financial NOC. Oil and gas technician experience may give more PNP options especially in Alberta or Saskatchewan.
Try both profiles in CRS calculator and choose the higher one as PA. Spouse education and work experience will still help the other person as secondary applicant.
With strong language scores, your age is not a big problem. Language and reference letters will decide the best route for you. |

AinsSama: Welcome fellow enthusiast.
1. Get a 48V inverter (3.5kva, 5kva, 6kva) for a 48V battery, especially ones with inbuilt Mppt charge controller.
2. Yes a 5kwh Lithium battery is more than sufficient to run that load especially considering your last note.
3. You're already good to go.
4. Get 2-4 600W (if possible, even higher wattage) Jinko panels. You can get from Fouani if they have in stock, I have 625W ones for sale and it's what I use to run my loads.
Note: I'm completely off-grid (been over a year now) and find even 8 of those specific panels an overkill. My energy needs is about 10 times yours and everything runs on a 15Kwh Lithium battery. The panels are that efficient and as a bonus you save roof space. How much are the 625w panels going for? |
