Geofavor: If post-utme isn't scrapped, then Jamb should be scrapped. There's no point writing the same exam twice. They should, however, allow students take the post-utme this year, because they didn't notify us before hand. KPhantom: Jamb has come to stay bro, there's no way on earth it can be scrapped.. I support ur point, they shud just allow us write this yr. KPhantom: Jamb has come to stay bro, there's no way on earth it can be scrapped.. KPhantom: then u construct speed brakes for ur browser. lol... Let me become and engineer first... KPhantom: catchment area refers to those states that are close to the city/state a particular university is located at, and the cut off mark for appliccants coming frm these states is usually lower. It's in line with the admission policy of 35% for catchment zone. Catchment states for uniben are Delta, Bayelsa, Cross river, Akwa ibom, Edo, and Rivers. Thats why sometimes u see ppl with just 50 getting admitted first, ahead of another candidate with 53 going for the same course. Although the cut off mark difference is usually very negligible, just 2-3mrks. A serious minded student can never be displaced with catchment zone sha, Becos merit is always number 1. what abt educationally less developed states abi wetin dem dey call am |

KPhantom: If this new policy stands, its going to be disastrous/favourable. 1Uniben and other top fed varsities will just push their general cut off mark to 250 regardless of the course you're going for, then later have departmental cut off marks like 260, 270 depending on hw competitive the course you applied for is.. This wont go down well with a lot of us oo.. Hw many even scored up to 250? 2 Uniben can choose to maintain 200 as a GENERAL cut off mark, and later have departmental cut off. This could be the only favourable option. 3 Many aspirants that were affected by Jamb's irregularities wont find this funny at all, cos they depend on the pume for admission. 4 Catchment area will now play a keyrole in the admission process. There are many considerations oo, this decision cannot be final. Best thing to do now is to continue studying! guy abeg explain this catchment area stuff jor |

If u substitute d values u got for x and y back in d question... I doubt if it'll result in 9....so try again.... tip... Make d question a quadratic eqn JY01: get d values of x and y which which will make x/y + 20y/x = 9 |
