A female catfish can produce about 15,000-40,000 fries (baby catfish).
These fries in 4- 7 weeks will grow to various sizes of catfish seeds (fingerlings, post fingerlings and juvenile) which will be sold out @ #10-#30 each depending on the size. Lets say you sold a minimum of 25,000 post fingerlings @ #17 each, this will give you about #425,000 sales. Ur expences will not be morethan 80k. You will be making a profit of #345,000 each month.

Mister man, go and read about the past of MMM in all countries that it has so far gone to, Starting from Russia (the criminal and convict's country). I almost "invested" my money, but I did some research and discovered that it was one big scam, I now thank God for my decision, as I hate being swindled and making a "419-ner" feel like he is smart, even though whatever money I put in would have been inconsequencial (I don't drop my life savings for anything).
Starting from Russia, to Zimbabwe, South Africa, the scheme crashed and many people lost their lives due to it, what made you think that Nigeria would be different?
A question you should ask yourself is that, do you think anyone would want to pump money into MMM come January? The panic MMM created with the sudden freeze of the accounts will make everyone want help, and I believe no one will provide such help, so where will they get money to pay to the swarming population of people seeking to withdraw their cash? The only thing they can do is to pay out people themselves (which I seriously doubt they will be willing to do), if they are to restore trust in the scheme.
Anyways, I sympathise with all my brothers that will have to celebrate Christmas with nothing, my heart really goes out to you.
Dont be stupid, what is your business about mmm.

In football betting before u see on person smile to the bank, nine oersons will be crying, But reverse is the case in mmm. 99% are smiling to the bank. I didn't join the MMM band wagon, when it just started to gain in popularity in Nigeria, because I considered myself above these cheap get-rich-quick schemes. Even in this recession where seemingly everyone is involved in at least one of the bunch flooding the scene- Swiss Gold, Ultimate cycler, etc- I stuck to my so-called 'noble' convictions and determined to stay a penniless woman with a conscience. If only a conscience had any market value, I would be all set.

What's wrong with getting rich quick really? People would ask me. I used to have a lot to say to that too: easy come, easy go; if it seems too good to be true, it usually is; MMM is a Ponzi scheme and it will surely come around to haunt you; it's not adding any value to the economy (like I was the police for that!). All the while, as I sat on my ass (not adding any value to the economy either) justifying my resolve to steer clear of the goose that lay the golden egg, I watched as acquaintances traipsed into their homes, daily, with new gadgets acquired by MMM proceeds. My, heretofore, eloquent excuses became stutters. And then very lame whispers. And then I started asking the question myself: what IS wrong with getting rich quick really?

I had a support system of like-minded people - my sisters (minus the treacherous one who would never let an opportunity like this pass her by) - so, as my belief was shaken by the prosperity of neighbors and friends, I called them to make sure that they had not abandoned ship and joined MMM. This would have made me the biggest and loneliest fool in the country. Gladly, there was still three of us in this pool of righteous misery. But one of had indicated that her resolve had broken and she would be part of the crew come next year. "Yeah, me too" I said.

So, in preparation thereof, I started to find out more about my prospective business venture. I like to research things before committing myself to anything. No matter how redundant that exercise may prove. For instance, before downloading a free app, I read the terms and conditions carefully before clicking 'I accept' even though I cannot, for the life of me, think of anything that might have been contained in the conditions that would have made me change my mind about downloading it. It's a free application! And I need it, so I would probably agree to anything - juxtapose my image in a porn flick if you like. But still, I read it because I'm paranoid like that. It's like heading into a dark alley after, painstakingly, scanning the area and spotting the creep with the hatchet lurking in the shadows. What was the point of looking?

The MMM website, right away, clearly highlights the pitfalls. You may lose all of your money, it says. Use spare cash. What is spare cash? Does anyone with cash to spare feel the need to join MMM? They don't pretend about it and honesty is always good for credibility. So I felt that we were off to a splendid start. Possible loss of investment is always a valid risk in business so this wasn't a deal breaker per se. Still, I wanted to know that they were not the ones planning to abscond with the loot sometime soon so I read about the MMM philosophy.

It was an interesting read. The ideology highlights a communist approach to wealth. Which is unsurprising, seeing that it originates from Russia. It starts by explaining that it is just as immoral to work for money as it is to have sex for money. Prostitution and labour for wages are equally disgusting. They believe, people should be motivated by desire to work, and not by money. This is an idealistic view, in my opinion - a desirable concept, but idealistic nonetheless . In reality, people can not be trusted to discover a 'desire' for work and ultimately the economy will suffer. But if we could all be uber-menschen, the idea is noble.

Since most people would likely revert to their comfort zones given the choice to work or not, money provides the necessary impetus. And like they rightly state on the site - money has become the modern-day slave master. And it is only an illusion too. Paper. They say money has been touted to qualify as 'a measure of labour' in which case the hard-workers should actually be the wealthiest people. I believe this over-simplifies it at best, and borders on misleading. Money isn't a measure of labour, while it is a universally accepted medium of exchange, it's more a measure of utility. And it is indispensable because utility is a subjective notion.

So, no, I do not agree that money and working to earn it should be demonized. I believe that it is a thing of pride to have someone else value your product enough to pay money for it. However, I absolutely subscribe to their opinion of banks. They're evil. Interest rates are ridiculous and all they're really doing is lending you someone else's money (not theirs) for a profit. They invite the population to pool their resources in one place and then they decide to advance it to whomever they deem fit making themselves filthy rich with the crazy interests.

The MMM idea is to advance money to people at no interest. Everyone pools their resources together and it is made available to whoever needs it. It's comforting to know that there's an easily accessible safety net somewhere, and one doesn't have to suffer through abject poverty. It provides certain security. Realistically, not everybody needs huge chunks of money at the same time. The idea, ultimately, is to provide help to others and accept help from others as the need arises. It's sort of a macro version of the local contributions people make at their offices. I was moved by the idea of it and it immediately made me want to be part of it. But again, the MMM idea places a lot of faith in the integrity of people. And most people who get on MMM do it, not out of a desire to share resources , but with the intention to mop up as much as they can for themselves before it goes bust. And therein lies the failure of the scheme.

The real scammers aren't the initiators of this platform but the people who join with the sole intention of stealing other people's money. And that's what you would be doing if you seek to profit from MMM to buy needless items while never affording actual needy people from benefiting from you as well. As conceived, there's no profit to be made on the MMM platform, it's only a large communal barn of grain that counts on people to be civil enough to fetch for their bellies and not their secret silos.

I still haven't joined MMM. I'm back on my poor judgmental behind. But while I viewed the multitude thronging the banks, every Tuesday and Thursday, as potential victims of an elaborate scam, I now consider them to be the immoral predators. The neighbors traipsing in with new refrigerators and generators and SUVs? Well, if they aren't planning to win some and lose some in the future, they might as well have come home from the nightly operation of armed robbery. What's wrong with getting rich quick really? Absolutely nothing. What's wrong with a unicorn? Absolutely nothing, it is beautiful. It also doesn't exist.

Have u finished your long sermon? Why not continue with your ignorance
Politics / Re: Change Does Not Begin With An Empty Slogan, Mr. President By Gimba Kakanda by jzee4sure: 12:09am On Sep 17, 2016
basilo101:
Last Thursday, the Federal Government, obviously terrified by the burden of expectations on it, launched what is without doubt an exercise in propaganda. It is a social orientation campaign named “Change Begins With Me”. Introducing the campaign, the President said, “Our citizens must realize that the change they want to see begins with them.” And then, “Before you ask ‘where is the change they promised us’, you must first ask how far have I changed my ways, (sic) ‘what have I done to be part of the change for the greater good of society’.”

This is an audacious attempt to alter the definition of “Change” the APC proposed when it approached us in selling its beautiful ideas for Nigeria. The governing party’s idea of change has been widely archived, and it’s just impossible to convince the people that the change they promised isn’t creating three million jobs yearly, providing free meals for public primary school public, offering N5,000 stipends to unemployed youths, adopting Social Welfare Programmes to cater for the poor, free maternal and children healthcare services, amongst similar visions as laudable as they were popular.

This is why the definition provided by the President is a contradiction of what the APC told us, that it would lead the way to our redemption. The Change promised Nigerians was framed as institutional and systemic, not this grand campaign for exceptional individualism. The problem, as I’ve repeatedly said, is not the person, not the Nigerian. It's the institutions, stupid, to creatively quote an exceptional American who also came to power chanting Change. Institutions aren't made by people, they are made by rules, fair rules impartially administered, hard to bend. That is the Change we were promised, it was the Change we expected and voted for, it is the Change that is demanded.

Have you ever paused to ponder why Nigerians beat traffic lights in Abuja but obey traffic rules in London? It's because the UK institutions are strong. So, the change we anticipate must begin with institutions changing people. Telling some people that change begins with them is like telling a robber to stop stealing. No, you've to build a strong Police to change him, and strong social services so that petty theft for survival is diminished. Citizens are often only as good and as incorruptible as the country wants them to be, through its institutions.

An expatriate friend, an Australian, beats traffic lights in Abuja and he actually once described it as fun. He'll never try it in his country. Why? It's not patriotism. Words like "change begins with me" will never stop people from disobeying traffic rules. To achieve this, you need surveillance cameras and strong penalising institutions. Wait, why do you think Americans are afraid of evading tax? It's the horror of having to deal with IRS. It's not patriotism. Who's afraid of FIRS? Definitely not the Nigerian big man who's sure of his ability to make phone calls and get any case against him dropped! So, change should begin with the President addressing institutional lapses like those employment scams at CBN and FIRS, and apologising to the nation for condoning such nepotism.

Truth is, this “Change Begins With Me” campaign may only further give the President more excuses to skip electoral promises. He and his handlers will claim they failed to deliver as promised because the citizens didn't change. Our President may go down in history as just another politician if he does not stick to the dream he promised which got him elected, with honest apologies or explanations where necessary. He's to lead and inspire a generation by giving them a functional nation to strive to change their realities. Change begins with having stable power supply, equipped and upgraded hospitals, developed road infrastructure, rehabilitated schools, countered nepotism, defeated crony capitalism...

Yes, you don't need a witchdoctor to understand that the change promised by the APC means overturning our social conditions. Our people are hungry, forex is unstable, businesses are collapsing, and instead of changing their conditions, the government is shamelessly telling them that change begins with them. What the hungry citizens need isn't an empty slogan, what they need is a favourable socio-economy to stay alive and thrive in. To say #ChangeBeginsWithMe when inflation is on autopilot is an understating of the nation's reality, it's a state-authorised insult. To deploy a slogan as facile and silly as #ChangeBeginsWIthMe in 2016 is an insult to the intelligence of even the dullest of the Nigerian electorate. Change means an improvement in the quality and responsiveness of our institutions, and we will never let the President CHANGE the CHANGE!

If Nigerians had not changed, they wouldn’t have volunteered to campaign for Candidate Muhammadu Buhari who, addressing delegates at his party’s National Convention before the elections, said, “I can't give you a pocketful of dollars or Naira to purchase your support.” What he offered in place of dollars was a beautiful dream. In that dream, the people saw a Nigeria where they don’t need a “connection” anymore to secure a job. But that has happened under his watch. This is why I suggested #ChangeAlongWithMe as a more sensible slogan elsewhere, because the President was elected to pave the way for the change by, for instance, installing functional streetlamps and establishing strong penalising institutions for citizens to obey traffic rules, and by stopping recruitment scams at our federal agencies for the citizens to get the sense and essence of a Nigeria without nepotism. Psychologists call these conditioning!

But the usual governmental praise-singers, in their serial bid to endorse the campaign, say its critics are ignorant, revealing their amusing misconception of Civics. Some have written that Nigerians have a sense of entitlement. They miss, of course, embarrassingly, that Nigerians are not requesting effective institutional change from the President. We are demanding it as he promised. It's our right, paid for in blood and votes, it is not a privilege to which entitlement and too much of entitlement can be attached.

Nigerians are waiting for the President have them conditioned into what he wants them to be, possible only through his policies and actions. He has access to the public treasury and administrative machinery to shape the destiny of this nation. That the government is resorting to psychological propaganda to hoodwink Nigerians into embracing a contradiction of its promises and capabilities, is dispiriting. Change begins with action, and with the President not abdicating his responsibility to champion it. May God save us from.

Stop deceiving yourself, you know very well that ones you have stocked the wrong type of fish that are not shooters, regardless of the standard management you use to take care of them, you will not get a reasonable table size. For your information my type will never fall victim to your advert again and I don't want others to fall victim too. After keeping shooters for your farm, you end up selling runts to me and still have the guts to reply me trash. Management was not the problem, I have fish farmers around me who guided me about feeding and managing them. And they all confirmed to me that the fish I bought are runts. Guest what? this time I am no longer interested in depending on any body to buy fish or assist me to manage my farm, I have decided to learn from Songhai farm about every thing I need to know.

Your claims are bogus. Your farm sold me runts juvenile catfish that refuse to grow well. Their weight was northing to right home about after two months.
To be successful in fish farming, you must learn how to hatch your fish and select the best fingerlings (shooters).
90 % of farmers take the best fish (shooters) after hatchery and stock in their farm while they sell out the bad fishes out to the public. I have learn my lessons, please no body should fall victim again.
