Concerning the Embassy in Nigeria, i spoke to someone in the Abuja office about 2weeks ago( maybe theres a new development). He said they are not sure when the visa application process would begin, that it might linger till the end of September, that aside the ban on international flights, the tenure of the Germans on the visa team that operated at the Nigerian Embassy has expired and they already left, a new set has been appointed but they are yet to arrive Nigeria for obvious reasons, the good thing is Germany would this month lift travel ban on 3rd world countries and hopefully they would resume as soon as possible.

You all should just get everything set, and remain steadfast in prayer, hopefully the new set would reintroduce the old appointment schedule system, i hope it’s not abused again if they do.

Finally, seeing the rapidly increase in Exchange rate, i am currently trying to make some connections here with bitcoin companies, this might be an alternative solution to check mate the high cost of euros in Nigeria. If the admin team approves this idea, i can share further details of how this would work transparently.
I already have AL
my international passport will expire in 2022
SL Loading...
I have age declaration and don't know if that will suffice for birth certificate
The visa fee, 75euro for long stay is available
Please what other documents do I need to put in place before the embassy starts?
Another thing I reside in abuja, can I apply through Abuja embassy because each time I visit their website they keep saying the embassy is closed unlike Lagos consulate where you can still book for appointment either cat. A or B

It depends... There's unlimited (for as long as you're a student), 4, 3, 2 and even yearly one.

A friend has the yearly one since last year August. Almost 1m has gone down the drain due to this Corona. He was supposed to go for his interview by the end of March. The SL is expiring by the end of this month. And the writer is requesting for another 1m to issue another.

It's a bad time to use SL for the German waka.
Thanks

Opening international flight without being very careful might lead to new cases and we might not be able to manage it, thereby leading to another lockdown. Please let us give them the time they need, popular countries like US, India, etc are still Shut, it's not like the rest of the world is functioning and leaving only Nigeria behind.

I want you guys to know that the international flight is affecting them more than it affects us, we're are only travelling for education, their children on the other hand cannot do without travelling, they've been travelling their whole lives. Na this covid humble them too, so let's all try and be calm.

You already have AL, if Germany still want us to make winter I'm sure they'll rush their visa process so as to accommodate everyone. And if not, there's always deferment till summer semester without having to spend a dime.

The most important is that if your destiny is to school in Germany, you won't school in Japan.
Some schools like university of applied sciences, Bonn are not willing to extend their enrollment date. I got admission there, MSc biomedical science and I sent them a mail as regards this whole scenario but their response was that they are not going back on the 26th Oct deadline for enrollment and I must be on ground for the practicals. The only alternative they gave is deferment and you will have to apply online again when it's time and they will admit you straight if the admission requirements has not changed. We need God's intervention in this matter oh

Bayreuth sent me the said documents to hold along when going to the embassy for interview. I urge everyone who has an admission to request this from his/her school, and if you're already being given, never forget to hold it along!
In my admission letter it was stated that most of my studies will take place on campus and for that reason my presence is needed. I don't know if that will suffice for proof of physical presence?

When I saw you were advised on using DHL, my ribs clapped but on second thought, I concluded there is no harm in trying as things might have changed.

UPS is way cheaper, UPS is N19,600 (it usually take 3 working days but because of this Corona thingy, it will take 4 to 5 working days).

Please, request for student discount; then the price won't be N19,600 but N15,700 or cheaper.

Don't blame the person that earlier advised, he only said what he thought was the best.

There may be some other cheaper courier though. But put into consideration the time it will be delivered, the safety of the documents, hope you will be getting prompt up-to-date tracking of the documents per it's location, and several other factors.

UPS provides same quality service with DHL.
I just sent it now through UPS @ #16,750
Thanks once again

My school doesn’t give students transcript. How do I scale this?
There's no school that will send transcript to student. In my case I paid someone in exams and record and the person package it as if it was being sent to university of Lagos but collected my office address and told the courier man to send it to my company in Abuja.

University of Ulster is one of the cheapest universities offering biological science courses and they are accredited by IBMS both their undergraduate and post graduate.

You should get ur documents ready for HCPC accreditation via the international route or better still send your degree to IBMS for assessment before going to HCPC

Try to get lab experience in the UK even if it’s unpaid by volunteering, this will increase ur chances a lot. Infact there’s high chance that if u volunteer in an NHS lab they might offer you a job as u have already been trained by them.
Thank you

Okay. I think those who studied Biological sciences cannot register with HCPC ( I stand to be corrected) however, Biological sciences is on the shortage list.So how could they get tier 2 visa?
Well I don't know about other biology-related program but as for med lab sci which is otherwise known as biomedical science in UK, you can register with HCPC, as a matter of fact it's a must before you can secure any NHS job. That was exactly what one of my colleagues did...

If I were you:
1. I would update ALL my stuff (registration and dues and licensure with MLSCN and AMLSN).

2. I would immediately set in motion the process for registration with the UK HCPC.

3. I would study real hard during my Masters.

4. Biomedical Scientist jobs would be easy to land after studies.
I am currently working on registering with HCPC. I have downloaded and filled the registration form, it's just to mail it to them for verification before making the £495 fee

How did you qualify for the £3000 scholarship?

Do you have a 1st class or 2:1?
The first time they sent my offer letter I was given £2,000 as international award. By the time I forwarded my transcript and employer's reference on letter-headed paper they added £1,000 as international merit award. I had 2'2 in BMLS

Good morning all. I just want to say thanks to all the Colossus in the house for keeping us updated. Following the guidelines I got here I have gotten 3 offers so far from university of Chester (Biomedical science), Anglia Ruskin university (applied Bioscience) and university of Kent ( forensic science). But I am deeply in love with Chester because they have given me £3,000 award out of £12,450 and they also allow part payment. Please if there's anyone who has studied there or currently studying with useful info about Chester should pls help. Thanks
