cyberbro: 1. First of all, the medical profession is highly regarded and guarded in Germany and that makes it a regulated field, meaning that you cannot just practice directly, except for when you have your approbation/erlaubnis.
Now in your own case, you need to show readiness to learn German by enrolling in a course pending your application. The Chancenkarte doesn't strictly require you to learn German, but it makes no sense not to learn since the profession is practically only accessible in German language. So try to learn at least up to B1 level while in the waiting period if you want to be taken seriously by the VO.
2. Kindly do your ZAB evaluation if you don't want issues. All that story of change of title from BSc to OD, is a very long thing... Better don't waste your time while trying to economize, otherwise you may be forced to start over and join the queue all over. Don't think about the cost, just do it. ZAB alone will not suffice. Statement of comparability is just to ascertain equivalence or a kind of partial recognition. Before you can work in a regulated profession you have to do the real recognition or license to practice. Check Anerkennung in Deutschland Website for more details. |

Hannania: Firstly, take that primary certificate, and ask the primary board in your state to issue you a verified one with a stamp and serial number.
Secondly, on Anabin it is written as Bachelor of Medical laboratory science. Not Bachelors of Science in Laboratory science. This is a 50/50 shot. So I'll advise you to apply with it while doing ZAB just incase.
For SL, ask your in-law to walk into the ausländerbehörde of his city and request for the letter. They alone will confirm that since every city has a minimum requirement.
Lastly, there's no more rejection appeal at the German embassy form 1st of July. So be careful in your application. Once you're rejected, you have to start again or possibly wait for one year before joining the queue again. So make sure all your documents are original and do ZAB just incase because Med lab is not there Thank You very much. Just a quick one, I don’t know if all application is done online because I reside in Abuja and online application is not available in Abuja. Can I apply online to Lagos Consulate even though I stay in Abuja? |

Hello @Hannania, I tried to reach out to you earlier. Pls I have few questions… My school uniben has the H+ sign and my degree, medical laboratory science is showing correspond but it’s actually under University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Can I use both printout as evidence of recognition? Secondly, I intend to ask my brother in-law for SL though he is the only one responsible for the family bills as my sister has been looking after their 3 kids. Do you think he can afford to send me an SL? I will attach a screenshot of the printout and my pry schl certificate if they will suffice

princejck: Lol...Oga u dey vex oo. You re right no one should waste money if they re not sure of AD. I wish this time could be spent looking for other EU countries to study instead of applying faith and wasting time with study in Germany only.
If 60% here start the research for considerable alternative within 4 weeks there will be solution. Germany no be do or die matter, I know some go say nahh becuz I dey Germany, that’s why I’m talking this way. Even if I don’t agree with Coldie method last year, he was right to say this problem has been there for more than a year and it not cuz of corona or international flight.
Make unah rest on Germany waka and open fresh ideas to other EU countries even if the first year unah go pay school fees but it’s better to waste ur life hopping.
Not all part of Germany you get tuition free education and I have seen people here who got admission into schools in Baden-Württemberg knowing fully they have to pay 1500 euros tuition per semester excluding semester fees and tickets. If you can spend such amount why wasting ur time waiting for AD when u can with that amount school in other EU countries
This problem won’t go away and even if there’s AD this year it will mostly be for scholarships students.
There most than 2000 IQ here make unah take hamm find other reasonable solutions. How about Norway, I noticed they also have free tuition just like Germany only that the living expenses there is really high but then the good thing is that what they need as proof of sustenance is not more three months old statement of account which can be of any currency. University of Bergen application portal will open by November this year and I am looking forward to applying for their biomedical science program. |

dennison4luv: This same mindset has turned Nigeria backwards. Instead of being objective in our thinking we are hoping for a miracle, nobody that doesn't not be in the powers of God or miracle but we have to be objective and plan ahead. The countries we are planning to go to, they did not relay on miracle, they plan and work towards miracle. If miracles work as we are taking it to be it means Nigeria could have been better than Dubai or London. sometimes I chose to be reticent or taciturn but some comments here are so abysmal and execrable. What sort of analogy is this...what has Miracle got to do with the economic situation of Nigeria? Whereas political leaders in developed countries are committed to solving their problems but ours have chosen to remain corrupt, so leave God out of it. The same God created the whole world and bequeathed all we needed to us... i just akin this to two people hearing same message and one chose to believe while the other does not and you can't blame God for the latter... |

Kinfinity007: In the kingdom where I belong anything is possible. In 2 Kings 7:1 the word of God came "that by this time tomorrow a measure of fine flour will be sold for a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel" there was famine at that time, so it seemed humanly impossible just as it seems for category B students. I belong to a kingdom where a mighty crowd became stranded at the face of a mighty ocean, and suddenly the ocean parted into two and they walked through dry land. Do you still want me to talk about the Jesus whom you mentioned but do not know, how that he was going to cross over to Germany, sorry I mean to the other side and there was no appointment date, sorry I mean to there was a storm and he just got up and rebuked the wind by a word "peace be still"(Mark 4:35-39).. Brother God is able to do all things only if you believe!!! I love this... |

Please guys is it really necessary that we start sending this presence letter to the embassy even when they are not giving out appointment date or is it by doing so they will now start giving the date. International flight resumption date is so imminent and let's hope everything goes as planned and they start issuing appointment date for visa then this document can be submitted along with other documents. |

This info is totally wrong actually. You would know if you kept up with info regarding winter semester.
And also, you cannot defer admission in Germany. German policies do not allow the university to carry your application info over to another semester application period I think you can defer depending on the school... when I pleaded with my school university of applied sciences Bonn to extend enrollment date they told me NO but the least they can do is allow me defer... |
