oxygyne: You have a point there but I did mine that way and my certificate was recognised. I heard you can go to DSS yourself and do the clearance, the only problem is you’d waste your time and probably still be asked for money to fasten the process...this can be stressful and you just feel it’s better to give that man in the registry to do for you.. it’s Nigeria, you know how things work. |

Veacon: You can beat the 100k price to I think 60... that’s what I did... married a British (white) so I had to do this... it’s faster tbh..you get your certificate that day unlike the other process I believe..it’s very quick! Good luck |

Minnienellie24: Exactly right! I got confused as well but that was the way hubby filled the form like you said and visa was granted. So go ahead and fill it that way, I’m sure it’s the right way.. good luck |

Arrived Uk on Saturday via BA and there was no question at the border except what exactly a legal practitioner means and specific qualification I have in Nigeria. Glad to be in hubby’s arms now. Good luck to all those waiting. 1 Like |

oxygyne: August! Nah..well luckily I have a return ticket already.. need to just change dates and I’m off soon by God’s grace. Those people hardly delay for visit visas yano.. we suffer the consequences especially if you apply for priority. Not worth it during this period tbh. |

Launna29: Aww thanks babe.. I wish you all the best in your application.. you will get yours soon |

want to thank all those who helped especially Lexus who was prompt in replying my messages, Oxygen and all those I can’t recall that helped answer my questions from the beginning. Thank you so much. I think if you want to apply for priority, don’t apply around May cos it’s their busiest period.! So annoying waiting. If not for hubby, I think I would have gone crazy especially with pregnancy hormones lol Also, even tho your spouse just starts a new employment as we have, their application can be successful once you provide all the necessary docs. I wish all those applying success..! |

Success!! We applied on priority. To be honest I think priority is daylight robbery, extra 50% charge and you’re not actually guaranteed anything as UKVI can’t be held to account for the timeframe. Here’s our timeline. Applied: 5th May Biometrics: 21st May App prepared email: 1st June Escalated @ 30 BD: 3rd July Emailed MP for assistance: 6th July Email saying app is in last stages: 10th July Email saying they’re too busy for a decision: 13th July MP emailed to say UKVI informed them we had been successful: 18th July Decision: 18th July Passport picked: 18th July 41 working days from bio to passport collection. 5 Likes |

oxygyne: Kinda tired of hearing soon lol. They sent an email on Tuesday saying they are gonna make a decision ASAP and I will get my docs within the coming days yet, no email sent of decision being made.i hate this process honestly. |

Lexusgs430: Section 3A b says you can rely upon your earnings from the previous 12 months of continuous salaried employment if you haven’t been in your current job for 6 months. Just need to provide the 12 months payslips and 12 months bank statements |

Hi all, another question. For the financial requirements, we will use 3A b salaried income over the last 12 months as my husband has been working his new job just 3 weeks now. Do we need to include details of his new work? It doesn’t seem to say so in the paperwork. Would appreciate some guidance |

Benuromi: He doesn’t work for either company anymore is the problem. One is the British Army so surely they can verify that easily with his army number? The second He will try to get verification as they are a civilian company |

Hi all, Quick question. My husbands payslips for 12 months prior salaried earnings, the payslips were never issued on paper rather just online through employee login portal. He has printed out all necessary payslips, however I know photocopies are a big no no. Anyone know the deal with a situation like this? |
