37years old mother of Little Precious Eromosele on Saturday abandoned her in a public taxi after returning from market.

According to report gathered, the mother of three identified as Mrs Cynthia Eromosele is under police custody for carelessness and child neglect.

Mrs Cynthia had gone shopping with her daughter at the popular Oyingbo market in PortHarcourt to purchase items for a social event the family is hosting.

After shopping, she hired a taxi to take her to her residence somewhere at Eleme. While in the taxi, she let her baby sleep on the taxi seat.

When she got home, she alighted to offload the goods she bought while her visiting in-laws took them inside.

She paid the driver and he zoomed off without realising that Little Precious was still at the back seat unnoticed.

The driver who was also unaware of the presence of the baby got to a police checkpoint where he was flagged down for stop and search.

Trying to explain to the policeman that he had passed a few minutes ago, the policeman saw little precious and the driver was nabbed immediately for child theft.

Every explanation to the policemen that the mother of the baby might have abandoned her in his taxi fell on deaf ears as the police insisted that he is a child thief.

Meanwhile, trouble already started at the home of Eromosele as heated accusations and counter accusations about the whereabout of Little Precious was alleged.

The mother insisted that after alighting from the vehicle, she handed over Precious to one of the guests who denied anything of such as she only carried the make up kits she bought.

The arguments nearly resulted to fisticuffs before it was suggested that the natter should be reported to the police.

The panic stricken couple arrived at the police station to find little precious and the driver of the taxi in police custody.

After every proofs of being parents of the baby, the police asked that the mother be locked up for child neglect till Monday when she will be handed over to the ministry of women affairs for discipline.

All pleas to allow the mother return home were turned down by the police who insisted that Mrs Eromosele was serve her punishment as a deterrent to other would be careless mothers.

Coalition of final year students under YOUTHS AND STUDENTS ALLIANCE FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE (YASAGG) has announced the purchase of 2019 JAMB UTME forms for President Buhari so he can have firsthand experience of incessant strike actions of university lecturers.

Spokesman of the group, Comr Tobi Joshua while berating the federal government for the prolonged strike, called on the president to make himself available for biometrics and data capturing to enable the group complete the application process and allow him sit for the exams.

“WAEC presented an attestation certificate to him, so he is eligible to sit for the upcoming UTME exams, the form is ready, let the president come for registration so he can understand the plight university students are passing through sitting at home when they are supposed to be in school studying.” Comr Tobi said.

Similarly, over 4,000 students mobilized by the National Association Of Nigerian Students(NANS) Zone B coordinator, Amb Okereke Godson Bishop stormed Asaba-Agbor highway to protest ongoing ASUU/ASUP strike.

The protest which held on January 30th, aimed to be part of NANS ZONE B contribution to ensure that ASUU/ASUP and the Federal Government reach a conclusive and considerable compromise in order to call off the lingering strike which has left the teaming Nigerian Students in an endemic academic imbalance and if not adequately handled could also restrain us from participating fully and actively in the 2019 general elections.

Meme-god and online personality, Yanbaba took to his facebook page to call on Nigerians to stop accusing and victimizing Izuchukwu Igwilo, the man alleged to have married ex-Mrs Chinwe Igwilo, a 15years old bride in a forced underage marriage in Ozubulu, Anambra State.

Condemning the act as inhumane, he pleaded with the rescuers of Chinwe to make a video of her confirming that she was really forced to marry Izu as alleged.

Mama Rebecca Orido who was attacked by unknown men at her farmland in Ughelli North has reportedly given up the ghost.

News of her death from Comr Itebu reached our news table on Saturday evening after she had spent four days in the hospital.

Recall, Mama Rebecca Orido , the eldest wife of Chief Orido left home for farm and didn’t return. Her mate raised alarm of her absence and was found butchered by unknown persons.

Her almost lifeless body which was found around midnight was rushed to the Agbarha General hospital where she spent four days before giving up the ghost from complications sustained from the attack.

Mama Rebecca had on Tuesday gone to her farm(father’s inherited land) at Omakowhre community where she does peasant farming to exercise herself and to avoid sitting idle at home.

Known to be someone that normally returns from farm before noon,her mate at home sensed danger when she noticed Mama Rebecca’s absence and raised alarm at about 8pm in the evening that Mama Veronica was yet to return from the farm.

A search party was mobilized and quickly dispatched to her farmland in Ijere with a town crier announcing her disappearance repeatedly.

More people joined the search party and after hours of vigorous search, Mama Rebecca at about 11pm was found soaked in a pool of her blood and her head cut open in four places leaving her for dead by her assailants.
