4) Opening the Strait of Hormuz: Trump claimed Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz while Iran’s National Defense Council was still threatening to mine the waterway. Despite the rhetoric, Iran did begin allowing ships to transit as part of the two-week ceasefire that started on April 8.
