Thanks guys. Apologies for the late reply. I just finished work. I'm glad for this nairaland Forum. It's an eye opener for me. Actually, I bought my first Toyota corolla 03 from Cars45 for 1.2m and honestly, it was graded level C and ever since then, I have put in nearly 500k in repairs. I managed to revive the car now and I was thinking of swapping it with a Lexus ES330 I saw on their website. Sincerely, from what you guys just said, I think I better keep my corolla as it gives me perfect services now, rather than picking up a new trouble from cars45. I appreciate guys..

Hello Friend.
I'm about to purchase a Nigerian used Lexus ES330 from cars45. The inspection report is superb. The mileage is good. My problem is that the price is strange. It's going for 1.3m. I don't have much knowledge of cars so I'm a bit skeptical because I thought it should be more expensive than that but I just hope I'm just been lucky. Experts, I would appreciate ur opinions on the pros and cons of a used Lexus ES330.
Thanks a lot

The level of the sludge will determine the risk to the Engine.

Truthfully that price is too much for the mileage
Thanks alot. You have been helpful.

At that mileage did your mechanic run a scan on the vehicle?
At that mileage you need to assess the Engine so it has not been tampered with, in the sense of replacing the engine totally or partially or shorting oil?
What about the transmission
Brother at the mileage you need to be careful..

Sir, the gear shift needs work according to the report. Then the only thing with the Engine is that it has Oil Sludge. Is that a serious problem?

It is a good buy if and I quote if?
First take an Auto Technician to inspect the car and let the Technician give you full report of the car.
Two from your point of view never conclude a car is good especially a naija used car...
After inspection the report I give to you will determine the negotiation power.
So look sir before you leap

Thanks a lot for your swift response. The inspection is already done and that's where it was shown it needs brake pad and tie rod repairs. My major problem is the mileage. With a total mileage of 212000km, would you say the life span is still good?
Thanks

Hello Blackbishop, I need a counsel in your expertise please. I am planning on buying a Toyota Corolla 2006 Nigerian used for 1.5m. Everything seems OK however the mileage says 212000km. there's no way of installing a new engine ecu if the current connection is not functional. You will require extensive. Diagnosis on the electrical harness first to figure out why there is no communication. After fixing communication issues, then scan vehicle, pull codes post here and we can continue.
