I hate it when people try to put their beliefs across using God. It's blasphemy.Pathetic isnt it? Probably one of those people that dont use lotion/deodorant/toothpaste etc all in the name of being natural why not stick to pako? |
Those with natural hair tend to use chemicals as well, like gel and what not. It's just as unhealthy as the other stuff so quit crying Anyways most people with natural hair are seen as radicals just like during the civil rights movement people wore their hair natural to show their appreciation for how God made them. I didn't realize that being radical could make someone feel important.50 years ago they were considered as "radicals", now no one thinks twice when they see it nor do they care. They didnt do it to show any "appreciation". They did it to be like "we're not like the rest of you that are oppressed" People do it all the time now and no one gives a damn, they WANT people to notice them now and think they're unique hence the condescending attitude. Lol @ abominable act. fayahsoul, go and sit down. You're making noise. |
whats so healthy about using beeswax on your head like the dreads do? Point is why are people so bothered with what others do with their own head? ![]() |
How are you so sure it's not her own hair? |
savanaha:Adding is adding. everything else is merely an excuse. |
savanaha:For example Erykah Badu and her fatherless children yet with the same mouth she screams against processed hair like you're doing now Maybe if she minded her business, she'd know the father of her children. She's not the only one guilty of this though hence my snide comment. and no one looks at those iwth natural hair as being radicals. That's just what they want to beieve to make themselves feel important. |
savanaha:Um Yea? Never seen an afro or kinky weave before? ![]() |
savanaha:Have you seen the hairline of the editor of Essence Magazine? She only braids her hair yet her hairline now starts from behind her ears |
savanaha:I fail to see the difference between the two. Seems like you're making excuses for white people to me. It's ok for them to add hair to their natural hair but black women arent? |
What I don't get is why those who go for that "Natural" look have this "Holier Than Thou" attitude. As if their one act of "self-improvement" places them onto a pedistoole.wish I knew. I braid my hair more than I perm it yet I dont go around thinking Im some special star Cant stand girls like that. Doesnt help that most of them are the biggest hos but that's a whole different thread ![]() |
savanaha:Pnce again, Paris has complete relevance to this topic cos she OWNS A WEAVE LINE called Dream locks which she advertizes with her own head. Many white celebs patronize this line as well so whether she's a sex fiend or whatever crap has nothing to do with the fact that she wears a weave and so do the many that buy her stuff You sincerely think those country singers with the big puffy hair, you think that's their hair?? Rofl. Abeg |
Jakumo:I dont think Wek is masculine at all. Infact her face is very childish. Tyra got in cos of her colored eyes. Not her hair. when she first started modeling, she did NOT wear weaves. |
I was hoping for a complete suprise Neither Hiliary or Richardson |
Alex Wek has never worn a weave. is she not a runway model? She's been one for years now. Weave-less. Tyra ko. Taiwo ni. |
what does her sex life have to do with the fact that white women also wear weaves The was the point, what the hell does sex tape have to do with anything They are worn for versatility. If your hair is short and you wnat it long for an evet, you can. If you want it short for an event, instead of cutting your own hair, you can get a short weave. If anyone is bringing in irrelevant crap its you |
alagolo, we're talking real SOs, not spirtual husbands |
Jakumo:Definitely agree with you here and I dont know why those with afros or natural hair are lauded so much as being "unique". No one stares at a woman with an afro/kinky twist, etc. If indeed they are staring NEGATIVELY, it's most likely your face. Nonsense I just took out my braids a few hrs ago, looks like ive been electrocuted, went out and there were no weird "omg why isnt her hair permed?!" looks so spare us the rubbish |
does Paris Hilton hate herself when she wears her weave? ![]() |
I am almost sure that topic has been created.
actually it was called "Nigerian Girls are Dirty" specifically Yoruba Girls of course none of the guys remember that |

No one has hatred, just stop acting like an expert on Naija marriage/relationship UNTIL the day comes when he gets his greencard and he;'s still with you 10 years later. Then none of us will bother you ![]() |
sista women, tread lightly when speaking of the Yorubas |
Handsome is as handsome does, and just as there are black women who some may not consider wife material, likewise there are black males who can't be considered husband material by any stretch of the imagination. There you go. sistawoman:Black men can only pull that shit on trailer trash. However they can pull it on majority of BA women. |
You know if a person is going to give so much about themselves/life on NL, they should remember that some of us have excellent memory Jus' saying |
tpia:I wonder. If a black man can marry the white woman he knocked up, why is there an excuse for not marrying the black woman he knocks up? what bloody difference does it make |
