I think you are good. Accra is presently doing background check on you to be sure your information is genuine. I have same almost same issue. Applied in August 2014 as you, did medicals in June 2015 only for them to come back asking same question about my wife . We replied and they came back again 2 more times asking for the same questions: addresses, work places etc and we provided them also 3 different times. Last correspondence was in September 2015. To God be the Glory, last week Accra came back with Passport request.

So my advise is for you to relax. If you know truly that your submission is genuine. Just relax. They will come to you for the next step.

They will not turn you down without 100% assurance that your submission is fake or accept you without being sure that your doc is 100% genuine.

These guys will not leave anything leaf unturned to ascertain their thought or suspicion.

Hi everyone, good to know a new thread has been open. I applied for the FSW 2014 in Aug. It got approved and accra further requested for more documents such as my salary statement from my bank while I worked in my former company. A new account balance statement showing it covered the required family amount and pictures showing the exterior and interior of my former company with the companies CAC letter showing their registration number #phew.
Note: i already sent pay slips from the company, employment letter and letter from the company stating duration, salary, role etc.
At this point I sent everything including a letter from the company stating that my salary was mainly paid in cash during the period.
They later replied me after 30 days in sept 2015 and told me to provide the salary statement showing payment from my previous company that paid me in cash or else my application would be rejected .
I got really confused because the salary at the time wasn't much so therefore the day they pay, we start spending without even saving.
Luckily I got my former boss to write another letter again stating I was mainly paid by cash, a few times by cheque. He backed it up by printing the companies statement which reflected my cheque withdrawals on some months and a transfer done into my acct while i was away on a project. A lawyer also ascertained my claims by notorizing the statement. I also wrote a letter indicating every documents sent. The docs where initially mailed as requested, but had to post them since they requested it to be posted. It got delivered since Oct 15 2015, and i am yet to hear from them again.


I know it might take another 3 months, but someone might just learn from my experience. You can add any advice, it will be highly appreciated

Hello good people of this forum.

I have an urgent request which has be troubling me before I came across this thread and I read forth and back to see the helpful contributions you have been making.

My problem is this: I got an email from the VO in Accra asking for bank statements showing salary payments from a previous employer when at the time, my salary was paid in cash. However, I have all the payslip which was initially submitted at the inception of my application. I also sent them other backup documents by DHL when they previously asked for other documents such as CAC from the company, evidence of the company's existence itself, pictures, etc. In fact, my previous employer even sent a letter to buttress my point that I was paid in cash through that period.

The DHL package was delivered and signed for; however, to my surprise, I got an email from them telling me they are about to reject my application because I may no longer seem interested as I did not provide a bank statement showing the salary payments within that period. They did not mention any other document from before but just the bank statement and I have only 30 days to respond or I can as well forget about the application.

Please, your insights, opinion and experiences will be greatly appreciated as I have dedicated a lot to this process and many of my plans are attached to it. I will also be grateful to know if it is possible to send them email messages through the email adress ACCRAIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca and if they actually respond to email messages.

If this is true,you can use her to proof the POF by depositing the cash in her account while she prints the statement in conjunction with yours as a proof of fund.
Alternatively,if you run more than one account,you can use two account to electronically pay cash into your POF account.
Even if you don't work,it doesn't mean you couldn't have had some cash saved down before you left your previous Job......plus the fact that you can always raise cash from the sale of capital assets like your vehicle or landed propriety.....but these needs to be supported by verifiable evidence.
I'm more assured that AVO is concerned about you giving any evidence of salary paid into from your previous company than knowing the source of your accumulated POF.
What I'm yet to deduce is if you were actually asked to show POF or just to proof the inflow of your salary from your former company into your account.
Summarily,find the few payslips that you can laid your hands on and send it........I'm hoping the request you were asked is just to print a statement of account showing salary inflow from previous company into your account.

I was asked to print statement showing payment from former company. I was able to see just 1 payyment from 2011. I already submitted payslips at the initial application last year.

Yeah, they would obviously want to see where your funds are coming from since they think you're unemployed. What I'm trying to say is that if I were you I wouldn't mention receiving payment from company 2013 because you've already told them you're unemployed and that in it's own is misrepresentation. Are you applying through EE? If you are then you might be able to get away with it as they don't ask for detailed bank statements but 6 months average bank statement. You could then write an explanation letter to explain away the bulk of funds. However I'm confused as to if you applied via EE or FSW2014. Couldn't you just edit your personal history details for 2013 and put that you were employed?

For company ABC you don't have to provide payslips for the whole 2 years, 6 months payslips would do just fine. As for the other company you worked in 2013, I don't know why on earth you initially filled that you were unemployed during that period even if the job didn't tally with your NOC. Anyway that's the past, however you're in sticky situation because if you now show company 2013 as the source of your funds after you've told them you were unemployed it would be classified as misrepresentation. Am I to take it that they also asked you to clarify your source of funds?

I have been running my account, but i try as much to avoid putting the CO in a box of assumptions. You quite coming from an entire different angle with the misrepresentation . They didnt request i proof the source of funding, just wanted to make it clearer. Though been running the acct monthly with huge sums, but i would have to do another transfer into the account. And i dont want the CO wondering how can an unemployed individual be running such transactions..

You really confused some things here (don't take it as a jeer please). You need to be more elaborate, saying you submitted a first application and documents for your work experience and later filled unemployed sounds somehow. Besides, which payslip are you talking about since you said the company you consult for pays in cash? Did you apply under the old system or the EE System? Anyways, the bank statement you will use has to be for the recent 6months so, the little i can advice is that you use fixed deposit as your major proof of funds(considering you have already indicated that you were unemployed) but really, your post is sort of not starightforward and it makes it hard to know what to really comment

Lol ok my apologies let me state it more clearly. I filled i worked with company ABC for 2yrs between dec 2009 - dec 2011. I went for msc after wards and returned in 2013. Then i got a consulting job in dec 2013 which is not in relationship with my core area of specialization; so therefore i filled unemployed.
Now they are requesting me to send statement of account showing payment from company ABC. While i was with coy ABC they most times paid in cash but i might be able to get some months from my statement for the first 1 year they paid into my account directly. And i have payslips from company ABC.
For the funds,i have been receiving payment from the company that does not tally with my career line, and its enough to prove my source of funding.
My confusion now is the second company was never stated in my application and for company ABC, i cannot get statement for the 2 years, i might just be able to get 2 or 3 months.
