15 year old Argentinian Julia Alvarez was left disfigured after
two jealous girls slashed her face with knives because she was
'too pretty'.

The two girls, who are sisters, have since been
arrested. Julia later told police the girls said they wanted to
make her look like horror movie character, Chucky.

Julia said she was walking home in the town of Juan Domingo
Peron, in the northern Argentinian province of Formosa, when
the girls aged 18 and 16 attacked her without any provocation.

"Everyone says you are pretty.
You won't look pretty when we
have finished with you. People will call you Chucky." - Julia
claims this is what the girls told her before slashing her face...

After the attack on her face and other parts of her body, the two
sisters ran away and left her in the pool of her own blood.

She
was rushed to the hospital by passers-by.
Julia needed dozens of stitches on her face and back to put the
flaps of skin back together.

The two girls were later arrested after the victim's sister posted
the horrific images in Facebook. The pics went viral in the
country and many activists called for the arrest of the attackers.

In her Facebook post, the victim's sister wrote
"They were jealous of my sister for a long time and always
abusing her and insulting her, but we never expected
them to go this far. I have tried to stay strong for my
beautiful sister but every time I see her I want to burst
into tears. They have ruined her life.

"She says she wants to kill herself because when she looks
in the mirror she so ugly now. It has ruined our famiy."

Police arrested the two girls but later released the 16 year old
because of her minor age. The 18 year old is still in custody.

The heart of men is wicked! The heartlessness of some armed
robbers who not only steal from their victims, but also kill or
maim them, manifested recently when a gang of armed
robbers attacked a pastor of popular pentecostal church in the
Abeokuta area of Ogun State and shot him in the mouth for
daring to plead that his daughter should not be r*ped.

According to Crime Reports, the gang members, including
Sodiq Asimiyu (21) a.k.a. Nokia, Lekan a.k.a Goddey, Ayo a.k.a.
AY, Seun Ojo a.k.a. Sepe, Kassim and Sunday, among others,
assembled at a hemp joint at Ojupa area, Oke-Bode, Abeokuta,
on May 31, 2014, from where they took off to a robbery
operation, using two Bajaj motorcycles.

They succeeded in their moves when they came across a man
driving his Nissan X-terra jeep, whom they robbed and
dispossessed of his vehicle in front of State Hospital, Ijaye,
Abeokuta.

Unsatisfied with the previous day’s loot, the gang took off again
with the X-Terra vehicle at about 5a.m. on Sunday, June 1 and
moved to Elite area, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, where they blocked a
car driven by a Pastor at about 5.50a.m. while on his way to
church with his wife and daughter.

A police source further informed Crime Reports that the man
was dispossessed of N150,000, a Samsung Galaxy tablet and
HTC phone belonging to his daughter, among other items.

Not satisfied, one of the armed robbers who eyed the cleric’s
daughter with lust, ordered her to move away from her parents
into the church, with the intention to have s*x with her...

On sensing this, the Reverend pleaded with them to spare his
daughter since he had surrendered all they wanted to them. In
a fit of anger over the pleading, one of the gang members
pulled the trigger of his gun and shot the man in the mouth.

Not yet done, another member went to their operational
vehicle, brought out a bottle of beer, opened it and poured the
content on the man of God where he fell. They left afterwards.

Nemesis however caught up with Sodiq when he was arrested
on September 11, 2014 when he reportedly came back to
Abeokuta for another operation. He was caught with a cut-to-
size single barrel gun put in a bag.

Also arrested was one Tunde
Egunjobi in whose house Sodiq was nabbed.

Both are currently undergoing investigations at the Anti-
Robbery section of the State CID, Eleweran, in Ogun State Police
Command.

I wonder the kind of heart some human beings carry. How can
you do such to a pastor? How sad!

A resident of Asipa, a community in the Ife North
Local Government Area, told PUNCH Metro that
Sulaiman, on Saturday called his cousin, Siji, to
follow him to a secluded place to test the charm.

Sulaiman wore the
amulet and gave a gun to his cousin to fire at him.
The cousin fired the shot and killed Sulaiman
instantly.

Residents were unaware of the mission of duo, but
the sound of a gunshot was said to have attracted
attention of the people of the area to where the
incident happened.

Siji was said to be found weeping beside the body
of the deceased. Siji reportedly
explained that the deceased compelled him to
shoot at him to test the potency of an amulet.

It was gathered that the deceased, who was known
to be a tough guy, could be preparing to use the
charm for the governorship election in the state.

The incident was said to have triggered panic
among the elders of the community who believed
that some other youths might have similar charms.

Punch reports the Police Public Relations Officer,
PPRO, of Osun state Police Command, Folasade
Odoro, could not be reached to react to the
incident.

We were all praying the deadly Ebola virus would
not make it’s way to Nigeria, but sadly it looks like
the first recorded case in the country has been
detected. According to UK’s Sky News a Liberian
man in his 40s has tested for the deadly Ebola virus,
in Lagos, the commercial capital of Nigeria.

The Lagos State Ministry of Health today July 24th
said a Liberian man in his 40s is being tested for the
deadly Ebola virus in Lagos.

On July 14th, the Lagos state government issued an
alert to residents of the state over the deadly virus
currently sweeping through some west African
countries, including Liberia.
Further details on the outcome of the test is still
being expected.

This would be the first recorded
case of one of the world's deadliest diseases in
Nigeria.
