MikeofAfrica: Let us analyse the election result without sentiment.
Tinubu contested the election on a structure with 21 Governors . Atiku contested on a structure with 14 Governors. Peter Obi contested on a structure with zero Governors.
Hence Tinubu can be compare to a University student considering his party structure. Atiku can be compare to a secondary school student considering his party structure. Obi can be compare to a primary school student considering his party structure.
When the three sat for exam, Tinubu scored 37%, Atiku scored 29% while Obi scored 25%.
While Tinubu came first in the exam, it is obvious that Peter Obi is the most intelligent among the three. When you relate this to politics, it is obvious that Peter Obi is the strongest politician among the three. Did he win ?? NO !! PO was power drunk , & with the euphoria he got within 8months . You can't compare someone who had planned his moves from 2003 & someone with 8months . Coalition wins you elections esp in a crazy country like Nigeria . Forget ANAP stats , forget charisma , forget religion or tribe . A single region can never win the whole country . |

tommy589: Gentleman agreement is not written. APC governors respected that and supported Tinubu for the primaries. Jonathan should have waited. He is the one we ought to be celebrating now Please never mention GEJ in Nigerian politics ever . One of the weakest ruler we'll ever have on earth . There was no agreement whatsoever in APC on Tinubu. His "structure" he had gathered over the years paved way for him , if not PYO would have gotten the ticket . |

It's been nine months. Cry ?? I'd rather pluck out my eyes than use it to cry for politic or politicians . There is no new man as politics is concerned . They are all same . Obi will later become national chairman LP . Might be the hight of his career if he chooses not to align . |
Politics › Re: I Still Blame Peter Obi For The Loss by Kasdat5(m): 11:41am On Mar 02, 2023 |
MikeofAfrica: You want Peter Obi to be patient in a party that regards him as a lightweight.
PDP leaders told Peter Obi that he stands no chance in the primary. He disregarded them and brought the form for the primary.
Before the primary, it was clear the leaders of the party favours Atiku as their candidate while Okowa, Wike and Udom were considered as V.P candidate.
To add salts to injury, PDP removed Peter Obi as the leader of he party in Anambra and replaced him with Chris Uba.
If Obi had remain in PDP, he will be in the dustbin of political history now like his successor, Willie Obiano.
Tinubu will still defeat Atiku had Obi remain in PDP. Without Obi, Umahi will deliver Ebonyi to Tinubu while Uzodinma will deliver Imo.
Atiku will win Enugu and Abia narrowly as their Governors who are members of G5 will get votes for Tinubu.
Tinubu will win Crossriver had Obi not contest. Ayade will deliver the state. Simon Lalong and Adulahi Sule would have deliver Plateau and Nassarawa to Tinubu had Obi not contest.
Tinubu also will have win Lagos with a landslide had Obi not contest.
Hence Peter Obi helped to cover the weakness of Atiku. So Obi is a bigger politician to AA I laff o . Anyways you are entitled to your own analysis . & You keep making reference to the G5 . They are the most useless political on planet earth . Tinubu , Atiku remains the godfather of modern Nigeria politics . Tinubu waited 20years for this , victory alas for him .Great things comes to those who wait . Now I believe |

MikeofAfrica: The problem with people like you is inferiority complex.
Peter Obi proved with the election that he is a stronger politician than Kwankwaso. He won 12 states while Kwankwaso won one.
Hence if there is any pairing, Obi should be the head.
Buhari is a former head of state hence you don't expect to become a V.P in any political pairing.
Why didn't Tinubu becomes Ribadu deputy in 2011? He has more political value than Ribadu hence he nominated his deputy instead of descending low with such pairing. Keep comparing kwankwaso to pon. Who says he was interested in presidency?? His only interest was taking control of Kano & to revenge on Gandujes betrayal . PO & SE are yet to learn politics . They should stoop low , remove pride & learn from the north & SW . Esp from the north. . |

tommy589: We may not see issues from the same perspective but we should always respect every gentleman's agreement between us.
If the South pitch aspirants in the same party, from the same region against themselves in primaries it is not the north's fault. Same applies to North too
Let's see the events that shaped the situation according to the period you posted The north (PDP) supported the south(SW) against another SW (Olu Falae) to rule for 8rs. Obasanjo supported Yaradua against other northerners,he won and died after 2yrs He supported Jonathan with promise of a single term and power goes to the north,he reneged. Obasanjo withdrew his support, tore his PDP membership card and supported Buhari. It is God's will if anyone drops dead. Some were expecting Buhari to die for Osinbanjo to take over, but God did not will it Some are already expecting Tinubu early demise,God forbid, for Shettima to take over. Whatever happens Gentleman agreement has been met Everything you have written is correct , but then , it's not in their party constitution for zoning .Come & vote @ the primaries , winner takes it all . |

Lokojaman: Why didn't u mention Kwankwaso, was he not also a PDP breakout just like Obi? Well if u must know, ohaneze said before the election, that no Igbo shd accept VP position. Kwankwaso's obession was a revenge mission on Ganduje & to become the Kano lord . He isn't concerned about presidency whatsoever . |
Politics › Re: I Still Blame Peter Obi For The Loss by Kasdat5(m): 9:31am On Mar 02, 2023 |
Brendaniel: You people dont still get it, even if they formed alliance with Kwankwaso(PDP+LP+NNPP), Tinubu would have still won based on the arrangement he prepared, he was allocating votes to each party and decided the position each party got, so it is not a case of alliance, Peter Obi won the election with a wide margin and PDP came second while APC came 3rd.
Tinubu was not in the election to contest, he was there to allocate votes and declare himself winner, so no matter the alliance anybody formed, Tinubu had a plan ahead, he placed Obi 3rd to mock him and make PDP feel that the result looks legit.
But PDP too is not falling for it.
Tinubu had rigged the election even before it started.... Tinubu will still emerge victorious , as long as PDP &: LP are on same ballot . |

My respect for Atiku just trippled and he’s even more a presidential material than obi. no noise, just respectfully conceited but obi is more interested in tinubu use failing than himself winning, how did this hate come about? Xeeman: I found your analysis extremely biased. May be you're still in pain for Atiku's lost.
How can you even compare the mighty Kwankwaso and the likes of Tambuwal and Lamido? Lamido couldn't deliver Jigiwa to Atiku, but Kwankwaso won kano handsdown even though both kano and jigawa are governed by APC. Tambuwal also, another decampee is battling in sokoto, lost majortiyy of the seats. Kano central seat, the seat belongs to Sen Rufai sani Hanga of NNPP not shekarau, just wait and see.
As for G5 issue, Atiku messed up when he couldn't let go Ayu. Now that he lost the election, let Ayu retain the charmanship for the rest of his life. Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Kwankwaso's only obsession is Kano & nothing more . He's popular there , no where else . & As for the G5 flower girls , they were expired , even before their tenure ended . Esp Ortom , the worst amongst them . Ortom speaking against his party because of zoning !! Has Benue ever zoned Gov ticket to South side ?? |
