M.Eng (masters in engineering) doesn't require GRE; i emailed the sch stating dt i have been taught in english all my life blahblahblah, and dey waived toefl.

Great platform. Got my visa approved yesterday 21st june(6:30am). Thread was very helpful. i was interviewed in window 2 by a woman in her mid 50s Transcript is as follows;

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning

VO: Can u pass me ur documents?
Me: *gives her*

VO: what course is ur masters going to be in
Me: masters in sustainable energy engineering.

VO: why sustainable energy
me; the main problem in my country today is power. we are blessed with abundance of resources which if properly harnessed, wld not only solve this problem, wld also help in drastically reducing over dependence on *vo cuts in*

VO: how did you find the school
Me; using online resources gotten from usnews, princetonreview and also, i had been in contact with professor A. Santos who is incharge "engineers without border' in the school, where they provide economically and environmentally sustainable projects for disadvantaged countries in the world with projects currently in *VO cuts in*

VO: i would be approving your visa blah blah blah..
Me: *smiles* Thank you very much

I wasnt asked for sponsorship, gre, family in the us etc. I think i was amongst the first 10 to be interviewed. The key is; be composed, if you are asked if your place of work is going to give u study leave, just say YES, as it shows you have ties back in your country. All in all, dont chew more than you can bite. Th chinese guy denied the first 3 people he interviewed. 1 guy said he works with nigerian breweries, the VO then asked him for his NB email addy, baba was still saying @yahoo.com The guy directly in front of me was asked where he was working he said 'my father's company'. i was sorry for him. Let your answers reflect what you have on ur ds160. Abimbola, i think you interviewed in window 3 or so. u were visibly elated, congrats to you.

the evaluation isnt straight multiplication. i had 3.5/5 upon conversion i had 3.24/4. a friend of mine had 3.54/5 and got 3.18/4. i think it boils down to the units of d courses. urs wld prolly end up as 3.4/4

The school I intend to apply to want to evaluate my transcript internally and am not sure if my CGPA will meet the required 3.0/4 for the M.Sc program. Although I have used various evaluation free calculator including WES. while some re more than 3.0 some calculator are lesser.
My CGPA is 3.79/5
please help me look into this.
will it meet up or not.

Hi guys, so i went to d AC today. Had so much fun ....my team really bonded well. We got to know abt eachoda b4 d process started; this helped during d grp presentation nd all...d individual interview ws pretty straight forward. Wish u guys the very best. just got a mail from kpmg, instructing me to take an online Psychometric test with the subject, “KPMG Business Awareness Test”.to b turned in before 4pm tomorrow. I really do not know what to expect.... fingers crossed

The second topic was on tax. How d govt is meant to go about bla bla bla, how companies should provide social amenities or so. As i see d question, like 5 lines, i bone am straight

There were two essay topics, but you have to choose one. My topic was "Write on any topic that is of global importance and why it is of universal importance" (something like that sha, I can't exactly remember the essay question). Also I didn't bother to read the second essay question, it was too long and I didn't have any juice left in me to analyse what it meant. I made some few grammatical (spelling)errors in my essay sef (I just tire).
To the aptitude test, I really can't remember any question verbatim, it was just the normal ratios, percentage etc (though d questions aren't straight forward, just pray for grace). The current affairs wasn't too hard, few historical questions. Gmat didn't really help me for the critical reasoning( I saw something completely different from gmat critical reasoning).
In all, i'll say the difficulty level is "above average" infact it is very close to "hard".
Just pray for grace and with hard work, you would excel.
