I can give you some names and you can search for them on linkedin if your personal search doesnt bring results but it should. One of them should be able to help you out. Life isn't that hard. Thanks a lot boss! I have actually checked LinkedIn and found so many of them, but they don't respond when messaged. Please can I send u a PM? 2 Likes |

Congratulations @kashey05!We thank God for what he is doing in our midst. And to everyone waiting on God for this testimony,I pray that God will grant you your heart desires. kashey05: Great platform. Got my visa approved yesterday 21st june(6:30am). Thread was very helpful. i was interviewed in window 2 by a woman in her mid 50s Transcript is as follows;
VO: Good morning Me: Good morning
VO: Can u pass me ur documents? Me: *gives her*
VO: what course is ur masters going to be in Me: masters in sustainable energy engineering.
VO: why sustainable energy me; the main problem in my country today is power. we are blessed with abundance of resources which if properly harnessed, wld not only solve this problem, wld also help in drastically reducing over dependence on *vo cuts in*
VO: how did you find the school Me; using online resources gotten from usnews, princetonreview and also, i had been in contact with professor A. Santos who is incharge "engineers without border' in the school, where they provide economically and environmentally sustainable projects for disadvantaged countries in the world with projects currently in *VO cuts in*
VO: i would be approving your visa blah blah blah.. Me: *smiles* Thank you very much
I wasnt asked for sponsorship, gre, family in the us etc. I think i was amongst the first 10 to be interviewed. The key is; be composed, if you are asked if your place of work is going to give u study leave, just say YES, as it shows you have ties back in your country. All in all, dont chew more than you can bite. Th chinese guy denied the first 3 people he interviewed. 1 guy said he works with nigerian breweries, the VO then asked him for his NB email addy, baba was still saying @yahoo.com The guy directly in front of me was asked where he was working he said 'my father's company'. i was sorry for him. Let your answers reflect what you have on ur ds160. Abimbola, i think you interviewed in window 3 or so. u were visibly elated, congrats to you.

tennamike: please nairalanders, i want ur view/suggestion about my situation, i was denied visa twice now, the first one at abuja last year, the second one at lagos. i am going for a religious priesthood, the congregation issued me a letter of invitation. what can do, please kindly guide put me through. i want to re-apply for visa very soon, because the Congragation has send me another invitation letter. This is a student visa group, not visit. Just know that there is a high probability that your invitation letter will not even be looked at at the embassy. Anybody can come up with that. It's up to you to explain what you're going for, how it's going to benefit you, and why you would want to come back after the event (your home ties). 1 Like |

Prompt reply of emails? Almost all schools will reply your email promptly. And don't say your course is accredited by ACEN. Is your school the only one that has ACEN accreditation? Tell the VO things that are particular to the school you chose. Not general things, there should be a reason why you chose it afterall it was the only school you applied to. Means there must be something you saw there that made you chose the school and only it. And after that kinda vague answer you still said you applied to just one school. It kinda shows unseriousness and raises a flag. Except the school is a top school and well known then there might not be much of a problem with one school. Nevertheless, some people apply to just one school and still get their visa. Just work on your responses, give solid responses. Read transcripts, a lot of it because I believe if you read enough you won't have answered that question that way. And I hope the school isn't a NO NO because they don't have graduate programs, they only have Master of Arts in teaching. So I'm guessing you're going for Undergrad or is it the masters program you're going for? 2 Likes |

Guess the best option is to keep tabs on the school or mail your intended department coordinator so they'll tell you what they require and what other application package(s) is/are necessary. |

phdmscbsc: My visa approved this morning after the first denial Praise the Lord, thanks to nairalanders, thanks to Mr seun (BDG) I was first interviewed by lady that denied me, I told myself I will allow you to interview me but this time around no more blue for me. She denied the first person before me, I was the second, after the ask the first two usual questions I guess she wanted to deny me but the holy spirit intervain, she said, Oooh I have in interviewed u before I said yes (smiling) she has to redirect me to my destiny helper (a male).
Approved transcript: Vo: good morning Me: good morning sir, how was your night? VO: fine thank you, pass ur passport en i20 Me: I did VO: why are going to the US Me: I am going for my masters programme in business administration Vo: why do you want to go for this programme Me: MBA is build my leadership skill, it will enhance my technical and it will provide me the needed analytical skills needed for my career growth VO: why the school? Me: I choose University of Bridgeport, because the school has good and flexible curriculum that suits my desire career, because the school.... (the VO cut in) He didn't allow me to finish Vo: this is what I have been hearing, tell me something different (that's the work of the lord because he didn't allow me to land before his conclusion) Me: (I continue) , sir I chose the school because of real practical in finance experience the lecturer I communicated with who I will be working with, Prof. Samuel lota was impressed with my role in the place I work here in Nigeria, he therefore requested to for me to be involved in his ongoing research VO: I didn't even hear what he said, after the only thing I am seeing is the paper with dove colour (I said with in me.. Yes, holy spirit I can see ur work)
My fasting and prayers still continue,
my advice What prayer/fasting does is to connect you with the right people, right place, it gives you courage among others, but the place of practice is very important as well. A friend (Mr Seun from a whatsapp group, BDG he is also on this platform) did alot of job in mock interview, till late yesterday night. I don't know how much I can thank him. He has been rewarded with a visa aswell. Please guys make sure you practice with someone, don't only read transcripts or write(most of what I do write I don't usually say them not until Seun streamline my response to be concise and precise.
In sum, To God be all the glory. Congrats bro... Pls does it mean same person cannot interview one twice cOs I was delayed too last week |

All this waive GRE, Waive TOEFL. Hope you all know the probability of getting funded is close to zero except you apply to one very low ranked school. IMean, have you ever imagined the scenerio of where there are 2 applicants with almost the same cgpa, one submitted GRE and the othe didnt. When funding decision will be made, be rest assured the one with GRE will get it. In Summary, be guided. Schooling without funding is CRAZY, except you don't intend to study. 6 Likes |
