true...that's why I made some long posts for explanation, I might have gotten my device in a good condition but I have done a lot of tweaking

I have S9 which I mostly use to take notes when watching videos on V60 and as a hotspot device when using hourly plans

Now, I have disabled most apps, even play services and play store, using shizuku+hail combo butthe S9 still gets hot without any usage causing the battery to die quickly without even me using the phone at all

although, AOD is always on, and the place that generates heat the most is the home button on AOD

I have not been able to completely degoogle my phone because I still run back to YouTube, Gboard and still need the play store. How do you cope?

To me I don't think the problem is from the battery I think the phone (motherboard) is the one doing this to the battery , I only guess so, I am not stressing myself on this phone I have a better phone that I am using , I am only using it for my daily drive phone .(calls,SMS,WhatsApp) cos it is very small at hand. The phone is not up to 5months self for my hand, I will buy another phone, I still lobe to buy the lg g8x but I am afraid ,cos of its battery, I don't want to experience the same issue. I think Oneplus should be better. thanks bro

It is the battery. I have used this phone for almost 3 years and it wasn't this bad last year (even with the ancient original battery). The new ones can't measure up at all

As beauty lg8 is, the down side of the phone is the poor battery the phone can off at 58% even it off 80%, I don't think I will ever buy any lg phone again, I am giving it to my kid soon, he should be using it as toy

See ehn, it is very sad and frustrating. Since May or so, I have gotten 3 new batteries. I got the 3rd yesterday. And the useless new battery went off at 23%. New battery o. The sad thing is it's only going to get worse. The first one I got didn't last 3 weeks before it started dying at 55% and I had to get another. The 2nd that I changed yesterday was dying at 65-70%. In fact, the battery was swollen and my phone could not close. I couldn't use my fingerprint scanner again 💔.

I know someone who works at LG service centre in Indonesia. He has access to original G8 batteries from Korea. But he told me they don't ship batteries via air, and ship would take a few months. He also said I couldn't buy 1 because of weight whatever. So if you're willing to still buy a battery for your G8, maybe we could buy two? Idk if they can ship two.

Since May, I've spent almost 40k on batteries. I spent 10k yesterday (minus tfare). I'm tired.

PS: all the batteries I've been getting are from different vendors at Ikeja.

But I know someone who sells batteries. He has G8 battery for 7500. 8500 if you order from his Jumia page. you could try and give your engineer to fix while we wait for the original battery to come.

PS: I didn't buy from him yesterday. I just went to a recommended engineer direct.

If the Asian guy say 2 batteries no work, I go just rest once this one pack up.

Not really. I've seen some crazy 5g speeds. 700Mbps, 900Mbps. This can never be 4G+

I got 5G on my phone tho. It was there briefly late 2023 and then it disappeared and all I was getting was 4g. The 5G signal is back on my phone tho; reappeared yesterday.

How is the 5g speed?

I've changed my G8 battery twice and na fake. After some time, the phone starts going off at 20%-40%. Is there no authentic battery anywhere?

Also, how can I fix my camera? I think when I changed my battery, dust or something entered the main camera and it has been giving me trash pics. The ultra wide cam is still decent. I took it to the repairer to help me open and clean the cam. He did, and the photos still remain the same. I think the dirt is inside the camera lens. What do I do? I know how good my camera is normally. This is an aberration.

I'll drop 2 pictures. The first being the main cam and the 2nd being the ultra wide (I zoomed the ultra wide to 2x so it would be like the main cam).

2 years ago, My HP Folio 13-2000 went off while it was on and didn't come on or charge again. What could have caused this? My guess is the power.

Also, how much would it cost to fix this? If the price is right, I'm willing to come down to Ikeja today or tomorrow latest.

Unrelated question, but when did you decide to change the battery? Was your phone going off at 20/30/40+%?

Cause I am on my 2nd battery in less than 2 months after my follow come battery finally went from dying at 20+ to almost 40%. I changed it in May, and the new one was going off at 50+ when I got this new one two weeks ago. This one is going off at 30+ and it's not even been a month.

Did your new battery last? Where did you get it from?

My old battery of 2 years was dying at 20-25%. Sometimes, less. But once it got to 25ish, lag nation. I changed it at Ikeja about two months ago and was able to use the phone till 0% on the first day. After that,it degraded until it was as bad as the previous battery, and now even worse than the old one as it dies at 52%.

I left NYSC camp yesterday and was posted to Palmpay for my PPA. On getting there, I was told they do not accept corp members, and a rejection letter was given to me.

I do not want to risk being posted to a school (I cannot teach), so I'm holding off on meeting my LGI for now, at least until I get a request letter.

I am currently in need of a PPA in Lagos state. I live at Agric, Ikorodu and Badore, Ajah. I have a BSc in economics.

Also, I have certification in Tech Support and another in Customer Service Management.

After leaving the Palmpay office at Ikeja GRA, I walked into 11 different companies at Ikorodu road (between Maryland and Anthony). NOs NOs and NOs wan kee me today 💔.

The v20 has a replaceable battery, just remove the back cover and get it out.
I get the tokunbo original battery from Alaba. They are more expensive than the Chinese New batteries which are mostly fake.

Can you share the contact of your vendor? I don't want a fake battery

If that doesn't work, you may have to install the update manually. I don't know how to do that on the V20

Please my LG v20 is still alive and kicking (though I have changed the battery several times.). Is it possible to update the phone to android 9.i am still on A8.

I don't know if LG released more updates for the V20 beyond A8.
