BS BS BS!!!! Mine is a really short one. My people, God answers prayers. He is good. During my pregnancy, i used to pray that i don't want to go past 38 weeks and i prayed for swift delivery. I was going to be 39 weeks on that Friday when i woke up with pains around 2:47 am. I suspected it was contractions since its so much like the menstrual cramps i normally experience. But i didn't want to be too excited since i had not seen show or water. I only saw slippery mucus like discharge, no blood. The pains were coming and going, i tried using the toilet and they didn't stop. So i had to wake hubby up and i told him. He said we should go to the hospital, but i told him to hold on cos i didn't want to go only to be sent back home. We eventually went around 5 when the pains were not stopping and he was insisting. As i never complain about pain like that. Thank God we left when we did. We got to hospital around 6 and i was told i was about 3cm and it was just starting. I was taken into delivery and was just barely holding on due to back to back contractions. Later, i was checked and wheeled in to stage 2 delivery. This was just around 8am. I didn't know what was happening again. The pains were barely bearable. Got there and as i was about climbing the bed, my water broke and splashed all over. I got on the bed and i was asked to push at next contraction. I was tired, was crying and calling on God. I thought I was pushing but the nurses started beating me that the baby's head is almost out and i wasn't pushing hard. Tried again and shit started coming out o. After like 3 or 4 pushes, I'm not so sure now cos i feel i wasn't the one in that delivery room, my baby came out exactly 8:30am. His nose was wiped and he cried out. I felt so relieved. Placenta was easily pulled out. He weighed 3.6kg and i had no tear. God is good my people. My baby is doing great, hubby and i are beyond happy and grateful. I wish everyone else a speedy delivery and recovery. And may God answer the prayers of those that are seeking for this gift. Thank you all. I learnt one or two things from all of you. God bless you. May mamas are dropping it hot hot. Congratulations to those that have gone ahead. Your stories are encouraging to us that are left. May God see us through. I'll be 38 weeks soon and no show yet. Some times i feel like my baby's head is pressing seriously down against my pelvis and wants to split it open. Is this normal? I'm so anxious. First timer here sunbestie: 2 Likes |

Foxie: I'm also a FTM but I personally think Shea butter and palmkernel oil is too heavy for a new born's skin. If you can get sth lighter specially made for babies, that will be great. I got Johnson products. Heard Milton is also nice. I stand corrected tho |

Hello house, I have been following this group silently for a while now and I've learnt quite a lot. Thanks to people that are sharing. I'm a FTM, 32 weeks now. EDD is MAY 27th. Hope to be added to the May group o I have a question please. I have been considering epidural and I'm just wondering if they administer in at general hospitals and like how much does it cost. 5 Likes 1 Share |
