There is hope for a tree for than many defenders of this government. I have stopped arguing;your salary is fixed and prices are up;strain has come to your spending.#180 is the average price of fuel as of today. My brother please no argue with them;they are trying to justify their votes.God bless Nigeria

The thing is tiresome. Sometimes i wonder whether this zombies have conscience

The other day in my office, one useless zombie was arguing about the Agatu massacre claiming that the death toll was over hyped and how it was politically overhyped to put PMB in a bad light. The fool claimed that since there was no list of names of the deceased like chibok issue then it couldnt be verified. I didnt even argue with him, i just left and since that day i looked at him differently. How far can someone go to even downplay a massacre just to defend his god Buhari. SMH

deandavid:
i am typing out of anger.
I am boiling over all the comments and threads i read these days, i wish i can meet you guys one on one to debate me.
All this analysis about the present govt is are so shallow and watery, why cant u guys allow the govt finish the tenure before making assumptions and conclusion.
am so shocked about our education system, the educated ones dont even reason well anymore, Everybody has forgotten this govt has been in opposition for the past 16 years, the present opposition has been in power for so long that the rot they caused will take a whole lot of dismantling and restructuring for it to take its root and even seeing any meaningful development.
it is not by power or by your vote that brought this change to Nigeria, its by the grace of almighty God, that heard the cry of suffering Nigerian, that rescued Nigeria from the hands of PDP, going by the antecedents of PDP can anybody ever think of removing PDP, with all the money, all the grass root structure, all the power, all the influence, all the Jazz, human sacrifices carried out by top politicians and everything PDP did. God still brought them down.
Its no fluke its God, he works in a mysterious way, even when the Adeboyes, and Oyedepos and Suleiman prophesied that we will continue the 16 years slavery, God chose his way, He will complete, what he has started, all those still wailing will wail for a long time, because God is still on his Throne.
His words says, sorrow may last for the night, but JOY cometh in the morning, after 16 years of sorrows, Joy has come to Nigeria. For all those who fought and voted for this change, DO NOT WORRY, no country becomes great without challenges, no country becomes great without sacrifices and tears, e may buy fuel today for #300, but trust me when God finish his work we might even be getting the fuel for #10 per litre.
its possible, Assuming the previous govt did what was right, we wouldnt be passing through all this, and there wouldnt have been any need for change of Govt, but they went sharing our collective wealth, embezzling our resources, oppressing us, diverting our money to other countries, but today God has delivered us from there hands.
Assuming PDP did the right thing for the past 16 years, today we wouldnt be importing fuel, we would be importing food or technology, we have all the land to cultivate our food, we have all the resources and brain to industrialize, we have the capacity to generate electricity but what did PDP do, they kept playing the people for 16 years, eating our money meant to set up power stations for the people.
and here they are commenting on a govt that is just a year old, a govt that is cleaning there mess. Woe betide all of you enermy of the people, woe betide all those who have no shame to talk. people like Ibori, Uduaghan, GEJ, OBJ, and all the PDP members that have stolen our wealth and decided to change to APC, God will surely pay you a visit, all your wealth wont be able to save you.
The cry and blood of the people will surely be heard and God will act accordingly. and for all of you here, who saw no wrong in the last 16 years and are now seeing wrong of a 1 year old govt, may you all remain blind and fooled for the rest of your life. God bless Nigeria.
Seun and co, put this message on fp asap

First of all, this government hasnt been in opposition for 16years. If you mean the president and some select few members of the defunct acn then yes you are right but the bulk of the APC members[amaechi, saraki, ogbeh, gbenga daniel, kwankwaso, atiku, obj] were part and parcel of the problem and helped to create the problems we are facing. A government is formed by the people not the name of the political party[APC] thats why i wasnt hopeful that this govt would bring anything new to the table because it consists of recycled viruses that plagued nigeria in the past who now position themselves as the cure to the ailments they brought.

As for the time frame of the current government, should we waste another sixteen years just to test whether the govt is good or bad. In one year we can know their direction. Understand that what most people are complaining about isnt just hardship but hardship without direction similar to a ship floating in the middle of nowhere.

You gave an analogy of a pregnant woman. Let me break that down, the pregnant woman knows what she is suffering for and what she has to do, she has to push consistently till the baby comes out, she has the mental line of sight of her joy and the result of her effort. she has the know how of what she wants to achieve. In such a case her pain is worth it. Please can you say the same thing about this govt. What are we in pain for now and where are we heading to. Do you seriously think that a govt that took 6 months to appoint ministers under the pretext of looking for saints and clean people only to come back and appoint people with tarnished and corrupt records is a serious govt. What was our six month wait for?

Do you honestly think that a govt that makes 8 naira per litre of PMS imported and doesnt have the burden of fuel subsidy again but still failed to plan for a shortfall in supply of PMS thereby leading to this needless scarcity is a serious govt.

Do you think that a govt that puts the blame and responsibility of securing govt infrastructure[pipelines] on the innocent creek dwellers is a serious or reasonable govt.

What hope do you have in this govt, when almost all their promises have been denied or reduced. From 20,000MW by 2019 tp 10,000MW. From 5k to poorest of the poor to 10 unknown social programs. From increased NYSC alawe to delayed NYSC alawe. The govt you are defending is denying you day by day and reducing the promises it made to you.

Lets get one thing clear, in a democracy you dont wait for an elected official to finish his term before you criticize. There are many ways to stop a govt that has gone totally astray. Impeachments, recall of reps, protests, civil actions etc all suffice to lead a govt back to the right path. These methods wont surface if the people are suffering and smiling. The people must criticize, complain cos in the presence of these if the govt can still present a superior argument then it strengthens the govt policy and philosophy. The supporters of the govt cannot wish away criticism esp when they are facing massive hardships. If people protested against IBB[ a hardline dictator] then this present civilian democratic govt cannot be exempt from it. They must face their demons and determine whether those demons are actually angels telling them the truth or really demons that they must vanquish with superior logic and arguments

Am sorry my friend, its good to be hopeful and to have faith but even Jesus and every bible prophet espoused the importance of hardwork, planning, honesty and love, qualities this present govt seems to lack albeit.

PDP was a problem for nigeria but APC was and never will be the solution

You want petrol? Tell marketers to stop increasing the price NNPc and Bovas among others sell regular
You want locally made petrol? Ask your brothers to stop bombing pipelines
You want stable electricity? Tell your PDP saints that GEJ sold nepa to, to stop sabotaging power
Shikenna

Very funny. The issue with petrol is not the price but scarcity or you didnt hear Kachikwu talk about insufficient imports and how the crude swap doesnt meet our daily needs. The issue with petrol is that we dont have up to 40 miilion litres[daily consumption] per day available in all our tank farms. NNPC and major marketers control over 80% of supply, CBN gives major marketers FX so its basically the govts fault.

As for bombing pipelines, is that the best you can come up with? So a federal government that has the NPF, Nigerian army, NSCDC, immigration, navy et al under its control should depend on me to tell my brothers to stop bombing pipelines. How would you feel if the commisioner of police in your state tells you that in order for robbery to stop you should tell your sisters and female friends to stop following wealthy guys because it motivates them. A govt that is over paid for its job and that has the primary duty of protecting lives and property is now defering blame to citizens for pipeline vandalisation. FYI, pipeline vandalism is a crime punishable by law and guess who is the enforcer of the law[ Me or the FG].

Who controls NERC and who has the power to rescind privatization and even to get to the roots of the causes of our power problem.

This govt and its supporters will defer blames to GEJ, God, IPOB, wailers, citizens and any other person but themselves. What a pity

You ignorantly missed my point
Lagos enroute ibadan to EDE to osogbo to Akure, petrol sells for 220 or more, so what my comment was saying is that wherever that petrol station is, fuel is being sold at regular price . That's why the queue is that long
Since you didn't actually insult me., have a pleasant evening and next time understand a post before you quote

So is it a good thing that fuel sells at 220? i dont understand your point sir.
There are horrible fuel queues around the country and where there arent fuel queues, fuel is exorbitantly priced.
Anyhow you look at it, the PMS situation is nothing to write home about and is a disaster. Do u disagree with that?

Reference:

I am just tired and fed up of Nigerians complaining. It is not only leadership that should know and get it right, the people too should know how to sort out their energy crises and should have insisted on their solutions from the get go.. Part of the flip-flop of government is caused by the confusion of the people. Like you said, on the subsidy. Today on, tomorrow off. Refineries donot come two a penny. They cost serious money and any investor or financier needs a clear line of sight to his profit or he won't shoot. The people must demand that government 'stabilizes' its policies on whether it wants new, fresh private investment or prefers orgies with the old, corrupt, never-do-well NNPC. Government SERVES the people. They will do what the people want. What are the people saying? Nothing, they are just crying like toddlers unable to communicate.

Do you realize that the government can aid communication to and from the people. Humans in general cannot stand on one policy initiative, there must be differences in thinking. So let me ask you, what is the average american opinion on climate change or abortion or taxation? you wouldnt be able to answer cos there is no straight answer to that.

The people are complaining because of hardships dey face so putting the blame back on the people for not knowing how they want it to be solved is like a doctor blaming a patient for just crying and whining and not specifically demanding for a procedure or a drug. Its the doctors job to diagnose and prescribe and use his/her own prefered methodology.
So please dont take the blame away from the government. Nigerians want a better life and access to PMS at an affordable price without much hassle. Is that hard to understand? So please we just want the government to provide a good plan to achieve that and follow up on it in orderto see tangible results

If the picture is actually from Nigeria
Ask yourselves why are the people willing to queue for that long?
Simple and honest answer , it's being sold at regular price
So before you write that stupid comment about how Buhari is making the country suffer
Think about Bovas, NNPc and other petrol stations all over the country that sell at regular price and those are the places you'll find that long queue

Yes the picture is from Nigeria, NNPC mega station in Zone 1 abuja to be precise.
And the camera didnt show you the whole queue which am sure is 5 times longer than that. In lagos here, people park their cars over night in filling stations hoping to buy early in the morning.

Your comment about price sounds ignorant. In lagos and abuja almost 99% of filling stations sell at 86.50. Please tell me if its a crime for residents of a city to buy fue; at normal price and why are you making it look as if they are queuing for a retail bonanza. It is their right.

The other states where fuel is sold at other prices, fuel goes as high as 180 naira per liter. So id ont understand why you would want to undermine the enormity of a long fuel queue on weekdays and working hours when people should be productive.

Even when there is no queue, buying fuel at 140 and above is a serious strain to the average nigerian citizen

As an adult. You dont just support people because they ask you to. If you were an investigator or police detective, you just dont believe any alleged criminals story and stand with him because he pleads with you.

So coming to the point. We know that even Jesus christ will not solve Nigerias problems in 10 years and when one is recovering from a broken leg it takes time for the person to get used to walking but at least there is visible progress and the doctor makes you understand the plan and route to recovery so you can understand how far down you have gone in the recovery process.

So please mister can u tell me the plan to restore nigeria by this APC government and let me know how far down we are on that road. Mind you am not interested in current hardship we are facing now cos even a pregnant woman endures pain but pain with a purpose. So please can you give me the economic blueprint of the current APC government. Lets discuss the path we are on in this nation. You wil find out that by the time you think of these things you will see that the only tangible thing you have is hope, just hope that Buhari will pan out good. But success is not built by careless hope but by excellent plans.

....Buhari restore the eleticity, the vandal pull down the effort!
....still all the blame is on Buhari of doing nothing since his taken over of power!
can nigeria do the right thing without been force to?
Guy your logic is so weak. Let me answer you one by one

1. Buhari in a 21st century mixed economy like nigeria thought that artificially pegging a currency of a mono product economy wont open doors for black market racketeering, round tripping etc. Thats not wise at all. How about i peg the price of goods you sell in your shop. That was obtainable in soviet era communism but not in a democratic capitalistic 21st century. Even if there is currency manipulation/pegging, there should at least be a workable economic plan/strategy to expand the comatose areas of our economy. Please can you show me that?

2. For the war on terror, i can give him a pass mark. But please tell me the agitators that protested against it. The APC govt should also desist from hyping their gains against boko haram. Buhari claimed that they hold no territory but every day we hear of the military liberating regions and freeing hostages from boko haram.

3. I dont understand u there

4.Restore which electricity. Mind you, this govt has not added a MW of power to the grid. They have been managing the already installed capacity of generation and they have failed woefully in ensuring steady gas supply to the plants they havent built. And talking about vandals pulling it down, please can u fight vandals yourself. If you can defeat vandals then why do you need a government. The primary responsiblity of govt is to safeguard lives and property(pipelines).

Mr.man rebrand your argument

To my understanding, you proposed to spend £1,800 in the UK on holidays from a closing balance which was not stated. This makes no economic sense to the ECO especially at this critical time. Your stated budget was unrealistic and does not commensurate with your personal and financial circumstances in your home country which you failed to substantiate to the ECO.

It does not matter if your have a closing balance of £1M; if the ECO is not satisfied with the source of funds, I'm afraid the decision won't change even if you reapply.

If you must reapply, address the reasons stated for your previous refusal. It is either you work on a more realistic and prudent budget or be ready to defend the £1,800 you are spending in the UK for 13days.

But let me quickly tell you that securing a UK visa is no rocket science, but if there are discrepancies in your work documents, statement of account e.g unexplained deposit, I'm afraid you'll keep dashing your hard earned money to the UK Government.

Good luck.

Religion / Addictions Are Strongholds Of The Enemy In A Life. by kay1one2(m): 5:27pm On Feb 22, 2016
People often times tend to have strengths in various areas and technically weaknesses in others. Some habits can be easily stopped while there is one or maybe a few that have just gotten stuck and refused to let go.
Addictions here are basically habits that a detrimental to one's physical social and emotional well being. They can range from lusts to intake of intoxicating substances. Many people have tried to stop but barely stay sober for a little time.
The question how ever should be, what is the source of addictions.
Basically, the sinful nature has become so enslaved by sin that only divine help can free a man from its grip. By believing and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, a man is set free from the power of sin. That then gives the man the responsibility to walk in faith in that salvation daily and stay away from sin.
However, even some Christians who have been saved by the blood of the lamb can continue being enslaved by one addiction or the other. Pornography and sexual sins are a typical example. The Bible says in Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
"The sin that so easily entangles" in this passage sounds like an addiction that even some Christians might struggle with.
Although a Christian has been able to stay away from every other sin, one entangles, causes so much pain and slows down spiritual growth.
2Cor10:4-5; The weapons we fight with are not weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
That addiction has invariably become a stronghold and from the passage above, the way to handle strongholds is via spiritual warfare with faith in Christ, our prayers and fasting and praise to God.
The impure spirit causing the addiction however only answers to those already in Christ. Luke 11:24; When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, "i will return to the house i left". When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. Hence for the demolition of a stronghold to be effective and permanent, there must be no vacuum in the life of the person involved but rather Christ must live in that life. This doesn't mean that a Christian can necessarily be demon possessed, but one who doesn't know their Kingdom rights can be under the influence of demons.
So wanna break that addiction? Accept Christ Jesus as Lord over one's life, walk in the newness of that salvation everyday and bind every influence of the stronghold leading to addictions by the power in the Blood of Jesus!

I work for the Ondo State Government, and payment of salaries have been irregular(owed 3 months now) , with the result that my present balance cannot possibly fund the trip.
I have gotten some money now for the trip which I have lodged into my account. ..I must say booking for the exam in the UK is something I didn't really envisage, as the March slots in Nigeria were filled up.
Anyway, my questions are:
1. Will the lump transfer of money raise a red flag?
2. My cousin is helping me out with some of the money. Do I need to mention and/or get proof of that?
3. Do I need yo explain why my account hasn't had enough money (the whole 'oewd salaries' thing)?
Thanks again

1. If you have money lodgements in your account don't bother applying. I know someone who got bounced for that while applying for plab 2 not to talk of even plab 1.
If you have a full sponsor for the trip it might be a better option since your trip is for business / academic not leisure.
You can try explaining the money was from your cousin who is sponsoring the trip but the transfer might need to show his name to convince the clearance officer. He might need to also say so in his invitation letter.
Any money transfer that is huge that you cannot explain will raise a red flag. Certainly.

trying to pay for a ticket; air france. saw something like maximum stay; 3 months. what does that mean? if for example i initially book for a return ticket of 1 month duration and need to stay back for say longer than 3month will the ticket still be valid. although in ''terms and conditions'ticket validity is 1 year. minimum stay; nil minimum stay.
