Hi radautoworks , I just scanned my car and got these codes:

P1734, P0780, P0756

I had no prior hard shift nor gear slip till this morning and it got worse within 10 minutes. Had to restart the engine before the gear could engage again. So I decided to scan it and voila, three codes from hell!

The gear was serviced two years ago with dw1 and still within the gauge limit, no burnt smell, and still pink/wine in color.

Can this be repaired, what are my options and how much am I likely spend on fixing this?

Hello Mosbus , please I need your opinion on this. I just noticed that my ac sometimes blow hot air at intervals while in motion, but this doesn't happen in slow moving traffic or when idle.

Even after restarting the ac while blowing hot air, it still doesn't cool until whenever it wishes to (about 5 to 10 minutes later). I've never worked on the AC before. What could be the problem please? Thanks!

Not a faulty compressor, not a faulty condenser, not faulty pipes, not faulty evaporator.

You will need proper Diagnosis. I will not give you a list of possible faults so you don't jump into conclusions.

Thank you Gazzuzz, but I seriously need your hands on this one and will be glad if you'd be willing to take on this issue and help with the diagnosis/resolution. An AC tech, obviously a Kazzem told me yesterday evening to change the compressor even without opening the bonnet to check what's going on there. Just like that.

I just told him thank you and left jeje.

Mr. Man, if you want to practice this nonsense driving etiquette, you should relocate to North Amerika or Europe.

1.) If you've ever driven along Mushin or Ajah axis (Between VGC and the Jubilee Bridge), you would realize that honking at a Pedestrian is even underrated. We should even be pouring hot water on the Pedestrians so that they know that you do not walk sluggishly when crossing a freeway. Little wonder 1 got knocked down at exactly that point a few weeks ago while the driver fled.

Ambode should construct a Pedestrian bridge at that point but the bastard with his ninja turtle head is rather pre-occupied with increasing the Toll Fares.

2.) So the Pedestrians should be walking majestically & sluggishly when using the Zebra crossing because it's their way? Have you ever had an emergency where you need to get to a destination within 30minutes?

3.) Look, I usually drive with my lights dim but when other motorists (especially women) driving in the opposite directions with their full lights on - beam their lights on me, I don't even hesitate before going into "full lights-flashing competition" with them.

4.) The Pedestrians should also stop encroaching on the Lekki-Epe & Lagos-Ibadan expressways, else they'll keep getting knocked down. They should use the Pedestrian bridges.

5.) I have never done this before but I wish I could try this 1 day especially when any of the Nairaland Mods pushing "Big Brother Nigeria's threads" to the front page are driving behind me.

Yes, my mechanic is my very good friend.
His workshop has become a relaxation place for me after work. Several business deals have been sealed at his shop. You see professionals from all works of life at my mechanics shop, we all have become family (including the mechanic).

I remember we all attended his wedding in mega styles, I got chatting with a friend to his bride and she asked if we all were mechanics like the groom.

Today is sunday, we don't gather at his place.
I can't wait for tomorrow evening to be at his place.

There is no best place. It can be at Owode, it can be in ur Street or along the road, it might be through your mechanic or through a reference. The only thing there is for u to be careful and conduct your due diligence. Your due diligence will include ensuring dat it's not stolen, dat d owner is not selling it bc of problems etc.

I had similar experience when I changed my car recently. After touring the whole of lagos for two months in search of a car that meets my specs (Tokunbo - Non accidented/ not flooded / complete sensors intact/ sound engine and gear / pristine body) without luck; I eventually found what I was looking for at a walking distance from my house! It was indeed an excellent buy too...

Guess what? The car has been at the car lot for over a month too.

Except you are buying a brand new car, I doubt if anywhere called the best place to buy a fairly used car exists in Lagos.
