I have hormonal imbalance (low FSH and LH). My husband has very good SA. But almost all specialist keep trying to force us to do IVF. Even though my tubes are clear. I had almost finally agreed to do the ivf and was thinking of how to persuade my husband. But when I came on this thread, and saw that the chances of success with IVF is not even up to 50%, I fear. At least if I use the money for one cycle of IVF to do three or four IUI or even ovulation induinduction, I have improved my chances. I really think it's unfair of doctors to try to push the highest and most expensive form of treatment on patients even if the patient does not need it!

But if this doctor in Ihiala specialises in hormonal treatment, he may just be able to help. Thanks.

The most common cause of blockage in the fallopian tubes is scar tissue. PID produces symptoms that include fever, pelvic pain, and painful urination. PID leaves scarring that can cause an obstruction in the fallopian tubes.

As a fertilty nurse/counsellor, i have seen so many couple opting for ivf without really needing it,not all infertility cases needs ivf,just a change in life style and diet can correct infertility.
the only indication i counsell couple to opt ivf its only whn HSG rsults shows that the woman has bilatral tubal blockage,but if her tubes are still ok,she can still try iui.
Several women has a condition called PCOS(polycystic ovarian syndrome)a condtion in which a woman do not ovulate,on scan,many follicles would be seen but non would not matuer which leads to annovulatory cycle.80 percent women with this condition are overweight.losing weight can help with ovulation.
in a severe case ovulation can be induced with drug and timimg intercourse.
