The contents of the front page topics are largely unworthy.
Well am not even about the contents, cos what is worthy to someone else might be unworthy to you, so that could be ssubjective.

All I want to see is a bit organisation and some fresh outlay and colors to keep it more appealing.

If each topic is separated with some symbols like yellow or red lines or stars, it sure will make a better appeal to the eyes dont you think?
Nairaland General › An Open Letter To Seun Osewa!!! by kayjasper(op): 3:14pm On Mar 11, 2015
I have been on nairaland for almost 5yrs (tomorrow makes it 5yrs exactly) and I have enjoyed every bit of its evolution and innovations since then till now.

But one thing I still find absurd is the continued reliance on this "boring" homepage display.

Even though I believe u are trying to keep it light and simple for easy surfing, but its getting too monotous having to pick from a "long list" of home topics.

I tried so much to convert most of my girlfriends to come on nairaland and even I tried registering usernames for them here, but after a week or two they all just loose interest.... Their reason being that they find Nairaland "boring".

By Boring they are not talking about contents, oh no far from it, but the aesthetics and the home page display.

I was on Linda Ikeji just a few minutes before writing this letter, I saw a segmentation of each topic with good pictures to go along, and by no means the website wasn't sluggish at all.

I will appeal to Seun Osewa, even if you won't be adding pictures to every topic on the home page, try at least to separate the topics and add some colors to it.

Please, Nairaland has become well known and we are all proud of it. But an upgrade of its outlook and display is also important.

Hearken to our voices Seun Osewa.....everyone wants change, dont you?

Politics › He Called Buhari "Quarter To The Grave" But Now, He Is Dead!!! by kayjasper(op):
Aondowase Chia was a commissioner in Benue State. His death in Nigeria causes a ripple within political circles. He had mocked the 72-year-old APC presidential candidate General Muhammadu Buhari, calling him ‘quarter-to-go’, insinuating Buhari was close to his grave.

On Tuesday, 3rd of March, 2015, Chia presented his ministry’s 2015 budget the previous day before the Benue State House of Assembly and he did not manifest any sign of illness. Upon returning to his office, he slumped and he could not stand from his chair. He was rushed to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital in Makurdi but he gave up the ghost in the early hours of the next day, around 6:30 am. Despite all this Is President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Really Bad? He has done well. I challenge the Buhari supporters give me 10 things Buhari has achieved for this country.
1] Goodluck Jonathan signed FOI bill that
Obasanjo
refused to sign and you join then in saying that
Goodluck is bad.
2] Goodluck approved N18,000 Minimum wage
from N7,500 Which Obasanjo refused to sign and
you say that Goodluck is bad and NYSC
allowance
from N7,500 to nearly approved N39,500, yet they
say he is bad.
3] Goodluck dualized federal roads (about
25,000km) which Obasanjo and past Govts
abandoned and you say Goodluck is bad.
4] The rail system is working now, with little
budget But Obasanjo Sunk billions of dollars
without result, other pasts leader ignored and you
say that Goodluck is bad.
5] Goodluck has been conducting free and fair
elections whereas the ones conducted under
Obasanjo are Shameful and national disgrace yet
you say Goodluck is bad.
6] Goodluck established 12 new universities, 9 in
the North to improve learning and knowledge and
increase the Jambites admission rate, yet you say
that Goodluck is bad.
7] Goodluck established the Almajiri system for
Northern abandoned street children and those
deprived of education by their own people and
you
say Goodluck is bad.
8] Goodluck has been building dams and
improving
the country's power from 2500mW to 6,000MW -
And successfully privatized the sector which
many
analyst believed is the best way to go and you
joined them say that Goodluck is bad.
9] Agriculture have been revamped and for the
first
time in Nigerian history, Food prices came down
during Christmas, instead of skyrocketing and you
say that he is a bad President.
10] 2013 and 2014 was the Christmas in Nigeria,
where Nigerian did not sleep in filling stations for
3
to 4 days to get Petrol or 100s of people being
roasted alive in attempts to get fuel in petrol
stations, wickedly, you joined them to say that
our
God given President is not performing.
11] Airports are wearing world class looks and
every zone have International airport and you say
Goodluck is bad.
12] This administration has employed more
people
in their 5years in office than any other in the
history of Nigeria [Via Agric, Energy sector,16
New
Car Companies, 12 New Universities, 3,826
primary
Health care Centers, Teaching Hospitals] SURE-P,
YOUWIN and you say Goodluck is bad.
Now do you think that General Muhammadu
Buhari
will perform magic, which he could not do when
he
was in his 40s, if you vote him?
What else do they want from President Goodluck
Ebele Jonathan?
APC is a party of propaganda so we all know where these demeaning reports are coming from. It all about 2015 and the fact remains that no matter their propaganda and mudslinging, BUHARI WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT... NOT NOW, NOT EVER.

It equally pains me to note that the so called young educated and apparently technologically advanced Nigerians (like you) still do not seem to know the meaning of the word illiterate and thereby continue to embarrass the rest us with its misapplication when referring to GMB.

For goodness sake, how does not having a certificate equate to illiteracy?
Please consult a dictionary and stop embarrassing us and your teachers.

How is Buhari not reasonably knowledgeable in most of the issues in play and therefore less qualified to be president; particularly in comparison to the clueless incompetent we currently have in ASO Rock, another so called certificate holder whose utterances readily brings into question the whole credibility and value of the Ph.D. system in Nigeria.

@ TOPIC:
How does alleged Bola Tinubu's statement: "Certificate or no certificate, Buhari is a general," translate to an admission of Buhari not having one?

Isn't it quite ironical and truly saddening when the so called educated continue expose and celebrate such shameful lack of comprehension in complete oblivion - it after all makes you wonder how they could have earned their certificates.

Lol @ Sis Bukky

Honestly We are a Very religious country without godliness and our leaders have zero accountability to the followers

The way an Oba rules absolutely is the way a pastor rules same as madam/oga, president, governor etc.

My pastor says... has become our slogan and a lot of people take the offence of insulting their pastors more seriously than insulting Jesus.

Sharp pastors are keying into this and fleecing their supposed flock.

When We learn to study our Bibles and stop looking for shortcuts and magic, things will change.

@OP: I do not know What to say...

The Bishop is an architect and should know the effect his structures would create. On the other hand, he might have seen it as fascinating and wanted to recreate.

Hmmmm

And thanks for seeking out my opinion on the subject matter

People, nay Nigerian Christians are becoming more gullible and silly as the years roll by.

Winners Chapel members are starting to become fanatical this days with their "Papa" bishop fumbling and making mistakes here and there.

See them on Twitter and on Facebook, see them on Nairaland and on LindaIkeji, they are full of insults and abuse if their "Papa" is criticised.

The truth be told, Oyedepo is a very temporamental iindividual, and that anger leads him to say and do silly things most of the times.

All of ye "touch not my annointed" folks have descended so low to make this pastor-preneurs demi-gods to you.

If Nigerians catch their pastors on their wife am very certain they will say "touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm" . Tufiaaaa.

Let'sworship God with open EYES and brains abeg. Stop defending silly pastors and their silly behaviours.

Your M.O.G can't take you to heaven,

How you interpreted the message is inconsequential and immaterial .

It might offend some peoples sensibility
It might also make some people glad

That doesn't mean that everybody is an e thug
What about the APC dudes a that are mostly Yoruba that constitute nuisance in virtual worlds are they nuisance ..no

I am not talking about north because majority of em lack the capacity to use internet so I reserve my comment

All I say is doctor heal thyself first
The issue is not who you support OR who you dont , the issue is WHY DO YOU SUPPORT WHO YOU SUPPORT?

Let's try to analyse issues as educated folks and not on sentiments.

If Yoruba's maintain that Jonathan is corrupt , has done nothing in their land, doesn't have a plan to tackle poverty and so on, them compare to the Igbo youth who believes Buhari is not "Igbo", Buhari is a boko sponsor, Jonathan is " our son".

Why can't the issue be based on more Germain issues rather than based on mediocrity and lack lustre religious and ethnic bias?
