Tolu k: even electric iron or even an electric fault can cause fire. wat exactly is d reason for this ban? wat of people dat can't afford it?Tho, we've never heard of any cases of fire outbreak in any of d hostels bt d incidents do happen in some schs & d cause ar often traced to students' carelessless wit d manner in which they handle their electrical appliances nd other cookin equipment. So, I think d VC is only takin ds measures as necessary pre-cautions to prevent d sch 4rm witnessing similar occurence. D truth is, in d aspect of cautiousness, we arn't all d same. My own opinion is if d ban is finally effected, wat we need is adjustment to d 'so called' cafeteria system. |

An Indefinite strike across universities nationwide is looming and may become inevitable if d demand of d Non-Teaching Staff in d university system to include d fund 4 d payment of their earned allowance in d 2013 budget was not met. A meeting has been scheduled to hold betw them & d FGN come Dec 3rd. A week long warning strike beginning 4rm Dec 10 is to preceed d indefinite strike. It was subsidy palava that ushered us into 2012 nw it is to b d non payment of earned allowance come 2013. All @ d expense of d innocent students. Isn't it a high time I ventured into apprenticeship? *Jst pondering* |

Mine wuldn't've bin discovered as wel had d officer dat was formally attending 2 me nt gone out after doing d checking. He was on d verge of issuing d authority 2 pay slip 2 me wen he got a cal 4rm sm1 & had 2 leave. He then handed me over 2 another officer who then scruntinized evry doc again & again & discovered d bomb. He asked me if i already knew about d error. I lied dat I ddnt. I even lied dat I jst collected d cert two days ago & I ddnt take my time 2 check evry detail dat I only checked my grades. My fear was dat if i had told him d 2ruth, he wuld av queried me about why i avnt done d necessary fins 2 correct d mistake. He asked me 2 sit stil while he took my case 2 admissions office. He was back after about 20mins & told me he wuld clear me bt I shld make sure dat I go back 2 waec office 2 lodge d complaint 4 future's sake. |

Halleluyah! I'm jst 2ru wif d clearance hurley burley n finally got d 'authority to pay'. Tho I had 2 take in a couple of tough questions due 2 my having no invitation letter n most especially d wrong date of birth on my waec certificate.
