Good day house. It is with great joy I write this, on the 26th of June as at 1:28pm; a mail from DIBP came in and by his grace it was a notification grant. I thought I was rejected already cos I was losing hope day by day. Thank God for his grace. Significance of my story is for everybody to stay strong and hope for the best; our grants shall come in soonest.

. Bank statements($) and reference letters. Corporate accounts.
.Waec result, Nysc Cert., statement of result, transcripts. All certified by a notary public
. Scanned pages of my passport to show travel history
. Statement of purpose which shows how my background relates to my proposed course of study in Australia and what my short and long term goals are in relation to my country and how I plan to return after schooling.
. I used my sponsors statutory declaration of age to show proof of relationship. Of course with mine(birth cert)
Application finalized at 62 days

I once encouraged folks here to go for trade courses. The demand is high and the pay is enormous.
Painting, plumbing, Carpentery, mechanic,name namethey all on skill select and on huge demand. Just a few days on the news they mentioned about Aussie not venturing into trades anymore.

A friend of mind called a plumber to his house. Call out fees is $100 and 10mins work was $700. He was just vexing for himself.

Tradesmen are well-off in Australia and are proud of what they do. Smart Carpenters and painters own 2-3houses here. Mechanic charged me $400 to replace a ball joint in my car. His quote was $100 per hour.

Most tradesmens in Australia have more money than bankers and accountants except you are on a high level.

It's case by case basis. If you can explain in a simple letter how you got the money as a fixed deposit I don't think it will matter if it's only been there for a few weeks. Again your other bank statement will help buttress your claim.

You need to ask yourself when does my school commence? And when does my fixed deposit mature?
If your fixed deposit is the only statement you will be presenting to the embassy and your maturity date is far from your school commencement date.
If you are applying for undergraduate degree or master you may not need to present a bank statement when applying until you are asked to do so.

Thank plenty. Please does the 3 months consecutive holding of deposit in an account still applies? cos i cant find it on the Documentary evidence of financial capacity page

i intend to use Fixed deposit for my student visa application, pls do i apply at the start of this fixed deposit or i wait till its matured before i apply.
