Culture / Re: Are Africans Proud Of Black Americans? by Kazeem101: 8:03am On Sep 23, 2011
I'm not friendly with Black Americans or "African Americans" as alot of you like to be known. Infact, can any of you actually show me where in Africa you descend from?

From my personal experiences "African Americans" walk around with this constant chip on their shoulder. Most Africans that go to school with African Americans tend to get bullied or teased for being African. We get called "Uncle Tom" and "Whitey" just because we actually want to learn, instead of standing on a street corner selling drugs.

Also, the Hip Hop mentality that ALOT African Americans carry around with you is shocking. Sagging pants, ebonics, constant foul language. I mean, what is going on?

This is not an attack. It's just what I've seen with my own two eyes. Am I proud of Black Americans? Only the few that actually want to better themselves. The majority just want a free handout. I would love to see how all those lazy, ghetto, hoodrats that depend on welfare would survive out here in Nigeria where nothing is given to you for free.

If you are a Black American and nothing that I said applies to you, I salute you!!!  cool

The yoruba language will never go extinct because most of us teach it to our children unlike some, *cough* *cough*, Igbo people wink

LOL, why are you bothered about what "African Americans" think of you? They have it in for everybody thanks to that slave mentality of there's. I pity the the person that refers to themselves as "African" when they can't even point out where in Africa they come from.

I lived in America for a years and made a point to stay away from AA's. You have to understand that most of them come from irresponsible homes. No father figure to show the difference between right and wrong. That's why instead of being in school learning, they're out gangbanging and causing mischief. We have very little in common so what's the point. If they want to speak with me, fine. If not, who cares?

Just stick to your education and be a responsible person. Don't lower yourself to their standards!  grin

Culture / Re: Advantages Of Mother Tongue. by Kazeem101: 7:07am On Sep 23, 2011
I'm very proud to be Yoruba. I will make sure that my children (when I have children, lol) will proud also. It should be the igbo people that you talk to. They have a major issue with not speaking their language.
Culture / Why Are Igbo Pople To Lazy To Taeach Their Children The Language? by Kazeem101: 6:57am On Sep 23, 2011
I live out in London. I'm yoruba and so are most of my friends and the people that leave in my area. Most of us know our language, even the English born ones! But I have noticed that most Igbo people don't know anything. They only know English. Why don't they know their own tongue? It makes very little sense to me. I was always raised to be proud of the fact I was yoruba. Most people I know speak yoruba, so why aren't Igbo people the same. How can you rant and rave about your love for being Nigerian, yet you insist on speaking every other language but your own?

Is there some sort of inferiority problem festering in the igbo people or is it pure laziness on behalf of the parents?
Romance / Re: Females Handle Breakups Better Than Males by Kazeem101: 6:37am On Sep 23, 2011
Come on, shut up. Women handle it the worst. Crying and making a scene  is nothing new for women. I've seen clips on youtube of those "African American" women killing their own children just to get back at the men that left them.

I'm not interested in American/"African American" business one bit. People are murdered/executed everyday. What should I do about it? R.I.P. his soul anyway!!!
